The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 297: Chapter 297: Writing (One more)_1

”Do I even need to ask?” Feng Family glanced at Gu Yao, ”Of course we can’t interfere.”

”Mother, are you sure?”

”Certain.” Feng Family nodded, ”I’ve seen enough these past days to know Ruxin is a good girl. Although the burden is heavy, the younger ones are all very sensible and obedient. She herself is capable. Since our eldest young master has set his heart on her, we must do the same. She’s now the eldest young mistress.” She paused, then suddenly smiled, ”If they could get to that a bit sooner, who knows, we might have a little master in our arms before long. Then the madam might be smiling down on us from below...”

”Mother, you said it, so if that happens...” Gu Yao blushed, ”I won’t get involved then.”

”Not only can’t you get involved, but you also need to help create opportunities and look out for the right moment, making sure not to let anyone mess things up,” Feng Family chuckled, ”Alright, I’ll go make some sweet pastries for Ruxin to take back for her brothers and sisters to snack on.”

Gu Yao nodded, thinking to himself that his mother seemed more anxious than his future sister-in-law.

Meanwhile, the two next door had already returned to normal, one earnestly learning, and the other earnestly teaching.

Yang Ruxin already knew some, and coupled with her intelligence, soon learned to read and recognize characters. Next, she had to learn to write.

In calligraphy, Yang Ruxin didn’t need to hide her lack of skill. Although she had some exposure in her previous life, she couldn’t write, let alone understand traditional characters, so there was no worry about giving herself away.

However, what amazed her was that, despite being blind, Gu Qingheng could still write, and his handwriting was quite beautiful.

”How... how did you write this?” Yang Ruxin didn’t know how to express her astonishment. She could hardly write well with her eyes open, yet he... How could there be such a gap between people?

”I’m used to it,” Gu Qingheng replied calmly, ”As long as you have a clear sense in your mind of the length of the brush, the distance from the table, and the overall size and shape of the characters, you can still write well even without seeing.”

Yang Ruxin awkwardly touched her nose, well, looking at the calligraphy, her mind was indeed a complete mess at the moment.

”Write this down in a moment and let Gu Yao check it for you.” Gu Yao, being blind, naturally couldn’t see Yang Ruxin’s frustrated expression now, but he tapped the table lightly, ”I just taught you the correct way to hold the brush. Write slowly, there’s no need to rush.”

”You’ve seriously undermined my confidence,” Yang Ruxin sighed, then picked up the brush.

”I’ve been writing since I was three years old, with over a decade of practice. You’re just starting out, so really, there’s no need to rush. Practice makes perfect. Write more and naturally, it will look good,” Gu Qingheng smiled, ”Practicing calligraphy requires tranquility and composure.”

Yang Ruxin nodded, then began to practice writing.

Despite her lack of a foundation, her intelligence helped her quickly grasp the essentials. After practicing the characters several times, they started to look quite presentable, and even Gu Yao said she was making rapid progress.

”Of course, as long as I want to learn, there’s nothing I can’t master,” Yang Ruxin said, looking very pleased with her handwriting.

Gu Yao curled his lips and left; this woman shone brightly with the slightest sunshine. Better for him to go out.

”Let’s stop here for today. Go back and keep practicing these six characters multiple times,” Gu Qingheng said as he closed the book, ”You can also practice writing in the dirt with a stick when you have free time. It’ll make it easier to write on paper later...”
