The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 251: Chapter 251: We Missed You (Three More)_1

”Alright, you don’t have to think too much about it, let them handle these matters,” Gu Yao reassured Yang Ruxin, who alternated between frowning and glaring. He quickly waved his hand, ”With our current situation, even if we wanted to do something, we simply don’t have the ability.”

Yang Ruxin thought about it and realized that it was indeed true; those people were still far away from her, and moreover, she was no saint. It wasn’t possible to save every child she heard about. But now that she had saved Zhou Xiao and his siblings, she could consider herself to have done her duty. With that understanding, she couldn’t help but smile, ”I know, as long as we’ve tried our best, that’s all that matters.” She then suddenly slapped her forehead and pulled out a letter from her bosom, ”Right, I found this in the house of that courtyard. I was too focused on the little girl at the time and forgot to give it to you. Take a look, it might contain some clues.” She had glanced at the letter before and found it somewhat difficult to understand because it was written in traditional characters, but she generally understood its content, which mentioned something about Prefectural City and lacked a signature at the bottom.

Gu Yao took the letter and glanced at it, his expression unfazed, ”I will hand this over to them when I find the time.”

Yang Ruxin nodded her head; whatever happened after she handed it over was no longer her concern.

Perhaps because the incidents they encountered weren’t pleasant, for the following part of their journey, the two of them hardly spoke, simply quickening their pace back to the village. Before long, they could see their village.

Meanwhile, Guan Qingshu had just left the town and was alternately walking briskly and stopping to look back.

”Big sister... Brother Gu Yao...” Two little figures at the village entrance charged towards them from a distance, ”You’re back...” Their excitement was unmistakable.

”Why are you guys out here?” Yang Ruxin stealthily tucked Xiaolun into the space, then scooped Sini and Xiaofeng into her arms. Remembering what had happened to Dabao and his siblings, her heart skipped a beat. ”You’re not allowed to come out and wait like this...” Actually, after hearing Dabao’s story, she didn’t believe the children had been lost by accident; instead, she suspected something was wrong with their ’Dagni.’ Otherwise, how could both children have been lost? But without information about the family or understanding their situation, she could only guess, which served as a reminder that she had to keep a closer watch on her younger siblings from now on.

”Sanni is here too...” Xiaofeng turned back and pointed at Sanni behind him.

Sanni also flashed a smile.

”Big sister, the sun is about to set, and we missed you...” Sini said in an innocent tone, clinging onto Yang Ruxin’s legs with a spoiled affection.

In fact, without their big sister, they genuinely felt unsettled. Now that they saw her return, they felt at ease.

Yang Ruxin immediately smiled, squatting down to plant a kiss on the cheeks of her little brother and sister. Her heart melted completely. She knew that deep down, the little ones still found their life somewhat surreal, worried that she might abandon them. In plain terms, they lacked a sense of security.

Xiaosi was ecstatic, but Xiaofeng’s cheeks instantly flushed red. He felt he should be manly, and getting kissed by his big sister embarrassed him; yet at the same time, he didn’t want to push her away. He was awkwardly torn.

”Alright, let’s hurry home.” Yang Ruxin laughed heartily, ignoring Xiaofeng’s embarrassment as she pinched his cheek again. She then stood up, taking one hand in each of hers, ”We’ve bought quite a few things today, we need to hurry back and put them away... Tonight, I’ll make you all a feast...”
