The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 286: Chapter 286: Well Taken Care Of (Part 2)_1

”Hehe... cough cough...” The little girl happily laughed but couldn’t help coughing.

”Don’t talk now, how about we speak after Xiaobao gets better?” Yang Ruxin quickly and gently patted the little girl’s back, ”Close your eyes and sleep for a bit, we are almost home...”

The little girl glanced at her brother, saw him nodding, and really closed her eyes again, but her little hand tightly clung to Yang Ruxin’s clothes.

”I really didn’t expect you to be so kind-hearted,” Doctor Wang couldn’t help but exclaim, feeling compassion, which is also essential for a doctor. Why did he increasingly think that this girl would make an excellent medical apprentice?

”Children are innocent,” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”It would be different if I had no ability, but since I have the ability, I might as well lend a hand. It’s also a way of praying for blessings for my mother.”

Wang Zhenggang smiled and nodded, feeling pity but said no more.

The mule cart moved swiftly, covering the seven or eight miles rather quickly, and now the Yang Family lived at the back of the village, so the cart could reach their doorstep without even entering the village.

Gu Yao paid Uncle Kuang the fare for the ride, but Yang Ruxin didn’t let him help, carrying the little one into the house herself.

Xun Hui was in the eastern room, so Little Zhou Ying was placed in the western room.

”Not bad, you made the bed in such a short time,” Yang Ruxin said, pleasantly surprised as she looked at the new bedding already laid out on the western kang.

The children at home had been working since they could walk; needlework came naturally to them. Even Sini could mend clothes now, and Erni was the best at needlework. Actually, Yang Dani’s skills were not bad either, but Yang Ruxin lacked the patience for needlework. That’s why she handed everything over to Erni and Sanni after buying supplies.

”The quilt will be finished soon too,” Erni said with a smile. Upon seeing Doctor Wang following into the room, she quickly adopted a respectful demeanor, ”Doctor Wang.”

The rest also knew he had come to follow up with their mother and all wore serious expressions.

Zhou Xiao was also obediently staying by his sister’s side at this time. He knew that Sister Ruxin’s mother was unconscious, so it was best not to disturb everyone right now.

Doctor Wang was aware of the Yang Family’s situation, and upon entering the door and seeing the tidy, though simple, courtyard, he had a good impression of the children and nodded with a smile, then he entered the house.

Thanks to the children’s diligence, even though Xun Hui had been lying down all the time and the weather was quite hot, there was not the slightest bad smell in the room. On the table, there was even a bunch of wildflowers soaked in a jar, giving off a faint fragrance.

And as for Xun Hui’s body, there was no sign of prickly heat or anything of the sort. She looked very clean and fresh, clearly having been washed daily.

”You’ve taken very good care of the patient,” Doctor Wang remarked appreciatively.

Yang Ruxin smiled and moved a stool next to the kang.

However, the results of the pulse diagnosis delighted Doctor Wang. Xun Hui’s condition was much better than he had expected. What surprised him even more: usually, the longer a patient remains unconscious, the greater the damage to the body. But with Xun Hui, there seemed to be hardly any damage, as if her condition was almost the same as when she first got injured.

”How is my mother?” Yang Ruxin kept her eyes fixed closely on Doctor Wang.

Doctor Wang withdrew his hand from taking the pulse and nodded slightly: ”Quite good.” He couldn’t help but glance at Yang Ruxin, ”Apart from the medicine I prescribed, did you do anything else for her?”
