The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 287: Chapter 287: The Girl Has Affections (Three more)_1

Yang Ruxin’s heart skipped a beat. She knew her treatment could not be concealed from Doctor Wang, but she wasn’t planning to tell the truth. After all, one never knows what’s in another’s heart. With an awkward smile, she said, ”No, I just give my mother a daily massage on her acupoints.”

Wang Zhenggang’s brows furrowed. He was confident in his medical skills, and he knew that the medicine could disperse blood stasis, but it shouldn’t have such an impressive effect. Even massaging acupoints couldn’t achieve such rapid results. However, seeing that the girl didn’t want to speak, he decided not to ask further. Instead, he took out silver needles and said, ”Now I will give her a few more acupuncture treatments. You can continue caring for her as you have been previously. As for the herbal medicine, I think you should stop that.”

”Stop it?” Yang Ruxin frowned.

”Yes,” Wang Zhenggang nodded, ”Although you’re not telling the truth, I know my prescriptions don’t have such a good effect... Continually taking them would just be a waste of silver...”

”Doctor Wang, I...”

”It’s fine,” Wang Zhenggang waved his hand, ”actually you really do have a talent for studying medicine...”

Yang Ruxin touched her nose, feeling somewhat guilty.

After an hour, Doctor Wang left the Yang Family’s courtyard, but saw Li Yi hurrying over. He couldn’t help but laugh, ”Why are you here?”

”I heard you were coming to give Dani’s mother a follow-up visit, so naturally, I wanted to come and see,” Li Yi also laughed. ”And since I’m already at your doorstep, it’s only right to invite you over for a drink before letting you leave.”

”That’s settled then.” Doctor Wang had a close relationship with Li Yi, so he didn’t refuse, ”We haven’t sat down together in a long time.” Then he looked back at Yang Ruxin, ”You don’t need to send me off; I’ll go back on my own this afternoon.”

”I’ll be the one to send Brother Wang off,” Li Yi added with a smile.

Yang Ruxin nodded, knowing that the two men were actually good friends and what one could call friends despite the age difference, so there was nothing to worry about. However, she turned into the house and quickly came back out with two roasted chickens, ”I bought these in town earlier; they can be a side dish for your drinks.”

”This...” Both Doctor Wang and Li Yi wanted to decline.

”Uncle Wang, Uncle Li, this is my way of showing gratitude,” Yang Ruxin smiled. She had also intended to give Doctor Wang the Lingzhi mushroom, but on second thought decided against it, considering it was too precious. Two roasted chickens, on the other hand, were not a big deal. ”In a few days, I’ll cook a full meal myself and invite you both over for a couple of drinks...”

”Alright, we’ll accept it,” Li Yi laughed, reaching out to take the roasted chickens. ”The girl is thoughtful.”

”Old man here will be waiting for the girl’s feast,” Wang Zhenggang laughed and nodded in agreement.

That’s how relationships between people work: you give them an inch and they’ll give you a mile. When both sides extend goodwill, everyone ends up happy.

With Doctor Wang and Li Yi gone, Yang Ruxin finally had the chance to introduce the Zhou siblings to everyone, telling them their names and reminding them to call them Brother Dabao and Xiaobao going forward.

”Big Sister, does this mean I’m also a sister now?” Sini asked excitedly, tugging on Yang Ruxin’s hand.

”Yes, Xiaobao will be four years old next month, which is three months younger than you. Mimi will be a sister too. Will you take good care of Sister Xiaobao and play with her?” Yang Ruxin kissed her little sister’s cheek.

”Mm-hmm.” Sini nodded excitedly.

Xiaofeng was also thrilled—she always played with her sisters but often got bullied when going outside. She yearned to play with boys as well, and now that there was a brother in the house, she would finally have a playmate.
