The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Fall_1

Yang Ruyu laughed as she spoke, ”Eldest cousin sister, I heard that Guan Qingshu has already gone to town. You’re not in a hurry to go to town to find him, are you?”

”Sister Yutang is really well-informed,” Yang Ruxin said joyfully. ”What? Have you gone to look for him?”

”I don’t have the thick skin you do, eldest cousin sister,” Yang Ruyu said with a laugh, covering her mouth with a handkerchief. ”Besides, I reckon even if you went, you wouldn’t have received a warm welcome, would you?”

”How I fare is none of your concern,” Yang Ruxin replied with a smile. ”However, at least when my father was alive, he had verbally brought it up with them. So no matter what I did before, I acted with some authority. Unlike you, cousin sister, who has no connection whatsoever yet still eagerly embroidered a handkerchief to send to him. Tsk, this is a clandestine gift... If word gets out, you might end up in a pig cage...”

”You...” Yang Ruyu’s face went pale instantly. ”Nonsense.” Then she turned and headed back. She indeed fancied Guan Qingshu—who wouldn’t, with his good looks and knowledge? And since she was the most beautiful girl in the entire village, of course she should be the one to match him. But because of the verbal marriage agreement with her eldest cousin sister, she could only send the embroidered handkerchief in secret. Although he did not accept it, she at least noticed that Guan Qingshu’s attitude towards her was much better than towards her cousin sister. But this was not something she could speak of openly.

However, how did Yang Dani come to know about this?

A mischievous smile tugged at the corner of Yang Ruxin’s mouth. As her cousin turned around, she suddenly stuck out her foot.

Accompanied by a loud, piercing scream, the graceful figure fell flat on the ground.

Yang Ruxin chuckled, then suddenly bent down close to Yang Ruyu, speaking in a lowered voice, ”Curious about how I knew you sent the handkerchief? Heihei... I’m not telling you...” She then got up and walked away. She had no time to watch the white lotus performance; she was worried about Sanni.

Yang Ruyu had taken a nasty fall, face down into the dirt, leaving her absolutely covered, and her chest painful from the pressure.

At the tender age of twelve or thirteen, when a girl begins to develop, shifting from tiny mantou to small steamed buns, this fall might have... cough cough... probably turned them into swollen little mantous.

She quickly corrected her drifting thoughts.

Yang Ruxin shook her head to clear it and hastened her step.

”Yang Ruxin, I’m going to kill you...” After recovering slightly, Yang Ruyu struggled to her feet in pain, but when she turned around, there was no one to be seen. Fuming, she let out a crazed roar, ”Aiyah...”

The girls in the western chamber, including Erni, shuddered, but wisely kept quiet.

With the eldest sister and the third sister not around, they certainly weren’t going to step into the line of fire.

However, Sini peeked through the crack of the door, then covered her mouth with a giggle, ”Eldest cousin sister’s nose is all crooked...”

Erni quickly glared at Sini, signaling her to keep quiet.

Sini clamped her mouth shut vigorously, but her large eyes were curved in laughter; after all, that cousin sister always bullied them—it served her right to have fallen.

Yang Ruxin had already put some distance between herself and the Yang Family’s courtyard when she heard Yang Ruyu’s roar. She couldn’t help but touch her ear. It seems that the white lotus didn’t fall hard enough, still able to scream so loudly. Next time, she would have to exert more force, to leave her without the energy to yell...

With this thought, Yang Ruxin quickened her pace, rushing off to find Li Xiang and Liang Xiaoyu. As for the rest of the Yang Family, she had no time to bother with them right now.
