The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

64: Chapter 64 RulesHan Jingyang raised an eyebrow.

The news traveled so fast; the fire at the Dingshen Group building hadn’t even finished burning yet, and customers were already coming to him by name.

As expected, reputation is built through fighting.

If you win, you have a reputation.

The more you win, the greater your reputation.

This fire he started to burn down the Dingshen Group building also burned out a successful start for himself.

From now on, he would firmly establish his footing in the Quancheng Feng Shui and metaphysics circles.

Thinking about it, it was quite satisfying.

However, he remained reserved on the surface: ”Please sit, miss. Who introduced you here?”

”A friend.”

”Oh? Do I know them?”

”Maybe not, because he also heard it from someone else,” the girl with the bun smiled sweetly: ”Mr. Han, your fame spread throughout Quancheng overnight. Everyone in the circle knows that an incredible Feng Shui master has emerged in Quancheng, whose strength far exceeds Master Kongyun of Thousand Buddha Mountain. Moreover, you are specialized in Feng Shui, so as soon as I got the news, I flew back from Dao City, fearing that if I waited a couple more days, I wouldn’t be able to get in line.”

Tsk, tsk, that sounded nice.

Whether true or not, it sounded very pleasant, and the flattery was just right.

Han Jingyang nodded: ”I do specialize in Feng Shui. You really found the right person to look at your house. However, my fees are unusually high. Are you sure you can accept that?”

”I have a modest fortune, so anything within eight figures is acceptable.”

”Very well, leave your contact information, and we can discuss the time for the house inspection later.”

”Can’t it be today?”

”No.”

”What about tomorrow?”

”Also no,” Han Jingyang smiled: ”I am very busy, my time is very tight, and I need to plan accordingly. No cutting in line.”

The girl with the bun frowned slightly: ”Mr. Han, I am very sincere.”

”Miss, my time is indeed very tight.”

”Can I book an appointment?”

”That would be a week from now.”

”Can it be earlier?”

”Are you in such a hurry? The renovation period for a house is at least half a year, and at most one or even two years. It won’t hurt to wait three or five days, right?”

”I’m worried that Mr. Han will become busier and busier, and by then, you won’t be interested in my small job.”

Han Jingyang couldn’t help but laugh: ”You really are... Alright, the morning of the 4th.”

Today is the 1st, so the 4th is three days later.

The girl with the bun nodded quickly: ”Thank you, thank you, Mr. Han.”

”Don’t be in such a hurry to thank me. I have my own rules here.”

”What rules?”

”First, I don’t want to see any other peers when I am on-site.”

”No problem. Even without this rule, I wouldn’t do something so classless.”

”Second, pay a fifty-percent appearance fee as a deposit. Regardless of the outcome, it is non-refundable.”

”No problem, I will transfer the money right now.”

”Third, if any issues arise afterward and you come to me for after-sales service, an appearance fee is also required. If the issue is on my end, I will adjust and compensate for free. If the issue is not on my end, additional fees will be charged.”

”Reasonable and fair, I accept completely. Anything else?”

”No.”

”What about confidentiality...”

”That doesn’t matter, as long as it doesn’t infringe on my rights.”

The girl with the bun was very surprised: ”I have dealt with people in the metaphysics circle before. They are very wary of having their deeds and personal information spread in any way. Let alone taking photos or videos, they don’t even allow word-of-mouth spread.”

”Everyone has their own taboos; it’s quite normal.”

The girl with the bun nodded quickly: ”Indeed, but Mr. Han, you have extraordinary strength, so you don’t fear the intrusion of gossip.”

Han Jingyang smiled: ”I still don’t know your name.”

”Mr. Han, my name is a bit sensitive, so it’s not convenient to disclose. However, my family calls me Tongtong, the ’Tong’ from ’red courtyard of jade steps’.”

”Ms. Tongtong, leave an address, and we will see each other on the morning of the 4th.”

”Okay.”

Tongtong wrote down the specific address and transferred 500,000 to Han Jingyang’s account before leaving gracefully.

Han Jingyang punched the air in excitement inside the shop.

Another big deal.

He had been doing nothing but big deals these past few days. He had earned a lot of money and acquired even more artifacts. Especially the batch of goods he picked from Zhou Yucheng’s Jingpin Tianxia, which filled up the counters instantly. If he sold them all, his savings would comfortably exceed ten million.

This wasn’t even counting the items not for sale.

If one had to include those, the value of that third-grade sitting statue of the Great Emperor Zhenwu would exceed nine figures.

Of course, even if someone offered nine figures, he wouldn’t sell it.

That was a true treasure, and a top-tier item that could be reused; the total revenue generated would only be higher.

Not to mention, it could also save his life.

But regardless, having a big deal delivered to his doorstep was always something worth being happy about.

If it weren’t for the need to maintain his persona as an expert, and the fact that he was indeed busy, he would have loved to agree immediately and work through the night.

Tomorrow, he had to help Shen Yuhai move.

The day after tomorrow, his younger sister’s final exams would end, and she would start her summer vacation, so he had to go pick her up.

Additionally, the He Dingkun family might have some troublesome matters and come looking for him at any time.

But well, it’s understandable. Life is just like that—some are bored to death, while others are busy to death, just like how some die of drought while others drown in floods. In such a social environment, if you want to live better, you must strive to move up.

The 2nd.

9:00 AM.

When Han Jingyang arrived at the hospital, only Shen Yuhai’s family of three was there.

No, a family of four.

Shen Yuhai and his wife, Shen Lele, and the old lady of the Shen family in the hospital bed.

The old lady had completely regained consciousness, her speech was much clearer, and she even greeted Han Jingyang.

Shen Yuhai said softly: ”Dean Zhang checks on her every day and says the recovery is very good. At this rate, she will return to normal levels in another month. Getting out of bed to walk, talk, and eat won’t be a problem.”

Han Jingyang nodded: ”That’s good. Let’s move. Don’t waste time.”

Everyone worked together and packed up quickly.

After the old lady was put into the car, Vice Dean Zhang Xiaohai popped up from somewhere, grabbed Han Jingyang’s arm, and dragged him aside: ”Little Han, leave your contact information. Let’s have a proper chat when you have time.”

Han Jingyang shook his head: ”We walk different paths; there is nothing to discuss. Dean Zhang, you be your doctor, and I’ll be my charlatan. Let’s not bother each other, otherwise, it won’t be good for you.”

”No, I am not that kind of stubborn old guy. I am very interested in your methods. If they can be deciphered and even combined with modern medicine, it would be an unprecedented breakthrough and would become an important turning point in the history of medicine and even science.”

”The idea is nice, but it’s impossible to realize. These are two parallel lines that can never intersect. Dean Zhang, if you really have the heart, it would be better to study Traditional Chinese Medicine more; that is more realistic.”

”Not even a little hope?”

”No,” Han Jingyang ruthlessly shattered Dean Zhang’s faint hope.

Although this Dean Zhang had once tried to stop him from using his skills on the old lady of the Shen family, his professional attitude was fine; he was a qualified and responsible medical worker.

Therefore, he did not want him to waste time and energy on such an impossible thing.

Combining metaphysics with modern medicine?

It sounds wonderful, but in reality, it’s impossible to achieve.

It’s best to leave professional matters to professionals.

Of course, if they could cooperate, that would be better, after all, it’s all for saving lives.

Dean Zhang sighed in disappointment, but immediately asked with anticipation: ”If I have a critically ill patient here, will you take action?”
