The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

60: Chapter 60 UnconsciousLiu San had been defeated by Liu Jing, yet he didn’t even dare to bandage his wound. He dragged his injured arm back to report to He Dingkun.

It was a bit humiliating.

But if he angered He Dingkun, it wouldn’t just be a matter of humiliation; he might very well lose his life.

Having followed He Dingkun for over a decade, Liu San knew his temperament well. He didn’t dare to embellish the story and instead gave an honest, unvarnished account of what had happened.

He Dingkun suppressed his rage. ”You’re saying that a woman who has never trained before is more capable in a fight than you?”

Liu San lowered his head and answered softly, ”Yes.”

”Was it because she had the advantage of a sneak attack?”

”No. Even without a sneak attack, it would have been difficult for me to win. That woman is very strange. Her posture and form are indeed those of an ordinary person with no signs of training, but her blade work is incredibly seasoned, her physical condition is strong, and her combat experience is exceptionally rich. It’s as if she’s a veteran of a hundred battles from the front lines; there wasn’t a single wasted movement between her offense and defense. It was terrifying.”

He Dingkun closed his eyes and pondered for a moment. ”I understand. Go to the hospital.”

”Yes, Lord Kun.”

Just as Liu San was about to turn and leave, he saw He Dingkun fall backward without a word. A jet of fresh blood sprayed from his mouth like an arrow, staining half the ceiling red.

Liu San’s mind went blank as he let the warm blood splash onto his face. It wasn’t until Shi Xiaoya, who was nearby, cried out ”Lord Kun!” that he snapped back to his senses. He rushed to the bedside to support He Dingkun. ”Lord Kun! You... how are you?”

But He Dingkun’s face was already as pale as golden paper, his breathing faint. He had fallen directly into a coma.

Twenty minutes later.

The Municipal Hospital.

Outside the operating room.

Liu San, Shi Xiaoya, and He Dingkun’s children had all arrived.

The eldest son, He Zhiqiang.

The second son, He Zhifei.

The youngest daughter, He Zhiyan.

Also present were the eldest daughter-in-law, Chang Xinxin, and the second daughter-in-law, Wang Xiaoyu.

Shi Xiaoya spoke in a low voice, recounting the situation to everyone.

Liu San stood like a criminal, head bowed, not saying a word.

Everyone believed that Liu San had angered He Dingkun to the point of vomiting blood; even Liu San believed it himself.

Once Shi Xiaoya finished, He Zhiqiang frowned and said, ”Ignore everything else for now. Finding a way to save Dad’s life is the most important thing. If Dad wakes up, everything will be fine. But if something happens to Dad... Liu San, regardless of whether Dad is okay or not, you must avenge him. If you can’t do it alone, take more people. If numbers aren’t enough, use other means. Do exactly what you did ten years ago. Understand?”

Liu San bowed his head. ”Once my injury heals, I will seek revenge. This time, I definitely won’t fail!”

At that moment, He Zhifei cleared his throat. ”Big brother, it’s better to get to the bottom of this first. Someone who can make Liu San suffer is definitely no ordinary person. Don’t you think it’s reckless to talk about revenge without even knowing who the opponent is?”

Having said that, he turned to ask Shi Xiaoya, ”Xiaoya, tell me, what exactly does that Jiguang Zhai do?”

Shi Xiaoya lowered her head and replied, ”It’s an antique shop. The owner is Han Jingyang, a graduate of Shanda University’s archaeology program. It’s only been open for half a year. He also works as a part-time Feng Shui Master, and his skill level is quite high.”

”A Feng Shui Master?”

”Yes, but Lord Kun said Han Jingyang is different from average Feng Shui Masters, though he didn’t know exactly how. Lord Kun even asked Master Kongyun to come down from the mountain to investigate Han Jingyang’s background, but the results weren’t optimistic.”

”What about Mr. Xue?”

”Lord Kun told me to contact Mr. Xue after ten o’clock tomorrow morning.”

”In other words, Dad thought this Han Jingyang was so formidable that he might even need Mr. Xue to deal with him?”

”I’m not sure what Lord Kun was thinking. I only know that Han Jingyang indeed has unique abilities. Lord Kun wanted to control Han Jingyang so he would help him recuperate his health.”

He Zhifei frowned. ”Isn’t that Han fellow a Feng Shui Master? How does he know medical skills too?”

Shi Xiaoya whispered, ”According to our investigation, Han Jingyang can use Feng Shui Arts to treat illnesses. He had only just started when he cured two old ladies who were on the brink of death.”

”Are you kidding me?”

”It’s true.”

”...” He Zhifei’s brow furrowed. ”Then shouldn’t we have treated him as an honored guest? Why all the fighting and killing? Is other people’s money money, but our family’s money isn’t? Or does he look down on the Dingshen Group?”

”Lord Kun wanted to completely control him. He wanted him to work only for the He family, just like Liu San.”

”He’s truly gone senile. What era is this to still be playing that game from hundreds of years ago? Controlling ordinary people is one thing, but knowing someone has real talent and still sending men to their deaths is simply unreasonable,” He Zhifei cursed under his breath. ”Pass down my orders: from now on, no one from the Dingshen Group is to provoke that Han Jingyang. Put the matter of revenge on hold. We’ll wait until my father wakes up before deciding anything. Since the man’s Feng Shui Arts can cure illnesses, we might even have to beg him for help later.”

The eldest, He Zhiqiang, frowned. ”Second brother, that’s not right, is it? Isn’t Dad in this state because of that kid? If you do this, how will the people under us look at us siblings? As if we’re treating an enemy as our father?”

”As long as it wakes Dad up, what does it matter if I really treat an enemy as my father? What? Big brother, you don’t want Dad to wake up?”

”Bullshit!”

”Then you’d better pray that Dad is safe and sound. Otherwise, if we really have to beg that man, even if he makes you kneel and call him your own grandfather, you’ll have to do it—unless you don’t want to save our dad.”

”Hmph.”

Seeing that his elder brother had stopped talking, He Zhifei turned to Shi Xiaoya. ”You are the most familiar with my father’s situation. Just in case, go back to the villa and keep watch. If nothing happens, fine. But if something does, you must guard my father’s things well. If even one item is missing, I’ll hold you responsible.”

Shi Xiaoya nodded slightly and turned to leave.

Later, a nurse brought out several fragments of a Hetian Jade Guanyin from the operating room.

He Zhifei and the others didn’t pay them any mind, instead clamoring to ask about He Dingkun’s current status.

...

Jiguang Zhai.

Han Jingyang woke up to find another message on his phone, once again from Juhao.

The content was simple: ”He Dingkun vomited blood and fell unconscious at 1:40 AM. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. He Zhifei and He Zhiqiang are fighting for power; He Zhifei proposed yielding to you and asking for help, while He Zhiqiang doesn’t want He Dingkun to wake up. Liu San is having surgery today and will seek revenge once he recovers. Additionally, the protective talisman He Dingkun bought from the monk Kongyun has shattered again, quite thoroughly this time.”

This news...

Han Jingyang pondered over the message for a long time, then smiled.

Interesting.

But it was to his advantage.

Whether He Dingkun woke up or not, it would only benefit him.

Of course, it would be even better if he died.

If he didn’t die, then he’d just do it again.

It was nothing more than climbing the building once more and troubling the Great Emperor Zhenwu again; it was no big deal.

In any case, it had been proven that Feng Shui Arts were indeed effective.

With the Great Emperor Zhenwu taking action, even ghosts and gods would flee. What was a mere He Dingkun? Not to mention some protective talisman; ten of them stacked together couldn’t withstand a single strike from the Great Emperor Zhenwu’s sword.

At the thought of the several-hundred-meter-tall statue of Great Emperor Zhenwu shrouded in purple qi, Han Jingyang’s heart surged with excitement.

Although he guessed it was just a skill effect, he couldn’t control his yearning for that level of power.

It was a pity that only he could see that phantom.

Otherwise, how would it be any different from the legendary ’Law Phenomenon’?

With such a great deity guarding him, he wouldn’t even need to fear another He Dingkun. If anyone displeased him, he could just invite the Great Emperor Zhenwu to step forward and deliver a sword strike.

Han Jingyang was in a great mood. He said cheerfully to Liu Jing, ”Let’s go, breakfast at Yonghe.”

Liu Jing’s eyes widened. ”Boss, how can you be so generous today? Wait, is there good news?”
