Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 119: Chapter 105: Rescue Chapter 119: Chapter 105: Rescue Lu Yingying stood still with a slightly pale face, holding her saber, watching Yan Song and his group taking Xia Yue away, gradually disappearing from sight.

She had no courage to swing her blade forward.

“The gap is too big!…” Lu Yingying gritted her teeth.

With her current state, if it were just this old man with a yellow face, there might still be a sliver of chance.

But now, besides this old man, there were three other Silver Stage individuals, including one at the Silver High Stage.

She was no match for them!

Seeing Ma Huaxiong turning around, Lu Yingying immediately pulled herself together.

No, she had to escape first, then find someone to rescue Xia Yue; otherwise, she would die here too!

Everyone else around had already left.

If she were to escape, now was the best time!

With this thought, Lu Yingying immediately turned around, transforming into a blue phantom, and fled quickly.

“Trying to escape?”

Ma Huaxiong sneered, his body shimmering with yellow light, once again diving into the ground, turning into quicksand, and chasing rapidly.

The Sea God Feather Armor provided more enhancement to constitution and recovery effects, while the boost in strength and agility was relatively limited.

How could a nearly exhausted Bronze Early Stage like Lu Yingying shake off the well-rested Ma Huaxiong?

In just a few minutes, the rolling quicksand almost reached Lu Yingying’s heels.

Just as Lu Yingying despaired and was about to fight to the death, a wave of heat approached, and a scorching wall of fire suddenly swept out, blocking her rear.

Ma Huaxiong, caught off guard, crashed headfirst into the fire wall, immediately leaping high out of the ground, scalded!

“Who is it?!”

Ma Huaxiong’s face darkened.

He turned his head and looked to the side.

There, a young man with red hair and red eyes emerged from the side, holding a long saber.

Geng Qiuyi said indifferently, “Where did this weasel come from, chasing a girl relentlessly?

Want to eat meat or something?”

“It’s you!” Ma Huaxiong’s small eyes squinted slightly, recalling a student he had encountered earlier while passing by.

He had seen him with a few other Bronze Level kids and thought he was Bronze Level too.

Little did he expect him to be Silver Early Stage…

Yes, not long after coming out of the Molten Lava Cave, Geng Qiuyi had broken through to the Silver Stage.

Ma Huaxiong frowned and said in a deep voice, “Kid, I advise you not to meddle.

She has nothing to do with you and isn’t from your academy either.”

“Oh?

Then which academy is she from?” Geng Qiuyi asked with interest.

“Demon Capital Academy.”

“Demon Capital Academy, huh?” Geng Qiuyi raised an eyebrow, “I really don’t like people from Demon Capital Academy.

They’re all so arrogant, their noses in the air!

Speaking of which, last time at the national competition, it was Demon Capital Academy that eliminated our South Pole Academy!”

Hearing this, Ma Huaxiong smiled, “In that case, that’s for the best.”

Geng Qiuyi snapped his fingers, and the wall of fire gradually dissipated.

“Please help me, Senior!” Lu Yingying’s face changed.

Rarely did someone come to her aid; seeing a glimmer of hope extinguished again, she couldn’t help but beg.

However, Geng Qiuyi remained indifferent, standing still with his long saber, seemingly having no intention of intervening further.

Seeing this, Ma Huaxiong grinned, his figure flickering as he caught up with Lu Yingying in a few steps, gathering strength in his palm for a powerful strike.

But just as his right hand was about to hit Lu Yingying, Ma Huaxiong suddenly felt an extreme sense of danger.

In a flash, without thinking, he stopped and retreated.

Yet, though his figure managed to halt, his striking right palm couldn’t be pulled back in time.

In a flash of fire, a Red Flame Fire Saber shot out from before him!

Then, Ma Huaxiong’s right hand inexplicably flew into the air.

Secret Sword·Red Dragon Bead!

“What’s happening!”

Ma Huaxiong’s pupils contracted.

Ignoring his fallen right arm, he quickly retreated, looking suspiciously at the empty-handed Geng Qiuyi from a distance.

“Young man, you don’t have a sense of honor!”

“Cheat!

Sneak attack!”

Ma Huaxiong’s face darkened, unable to hold back a curse!

Even a small gang like the Quicksand Sect kept their word.

For instance, if they said they’d kill your whole family, they’d kill your whole family!

Geng Qiuyi, naturally not bothering with banter, moved with a thought, and a Flame Dragon Illusion emerged from his back.

With the Flame Dragon embodying him, the fiery aura surged!

Geng Qiuyi’s figure flickered, instantly closing in on Ma Huaxiong, raising his fists and unleashing a barrage of punches!

Though Ma Huaxiong’s strength was not weak compared to an average Silver Middle Stage, having already lost his right hand, he stood no chance against the overbearing Geng Qiuyi with the Flame Dragon.

With one clash, he was pushed back repeatedly, clearly outmatched!

This was the strength difference between a top academy talent and a common Star Card Master!

After a while, through a series of aggressive attacks, Geng Qiuyi seized the opportunity and landed a punch on Ma Huaxiong’s chest.

Ma Huaxiong shuddered, feeling an intensely hot energy entering his body through Geng Qiuyi’s fist!

In an instant, the scorching energy expanded violently!

“No!!”

Realizing what was happening, Ma Huaxiong stared wide-eyed at Geng Qiuyi.

The next moment, a remarkably splendid red flame exploded from his back!

Red Flame Dragon Fist·Back Flower!

Amid the fiery explosion, in a brief second, Ma Huaxiong’s body was mostly incinerated, reduced to a charred corpse, dead beyond question.

Geng Qiuyi withdrew his hand, retrieved his long saber from afar, then approached Lu Yingying, saying indifferently, “Hey, you okay?”

“N-No…

nothing…” Lu Yingying, amazed by Geng Qiuyi’s overwhelming strength, stuttered.

Just now, as Geng Qiuyi and Ma Huaxiong fought, Lu Yingying had been recovering as much as possible.

Yet Geng Qiuyi’s strength far exceeded her expectations.

In no time, he dominantly concluded the battle.

With such strength, he was likely a top talent in South Pole Academy, Lu Yingying thought, feeling a glimmer of hope.

She wanted to ask Geng Qiuyi to rescue Xia Yue, but the words stuck in her throat.

Even with such an impressive senior, rescuing Xia Yue from three Silver Stage enemies was extremely risky!

They barely knew each other.

It was already good enough he saved her.

How could she ask him to take such a big risk again…

“What?” Geng Qiuyi, seeing Lu Yingying’s hesitant expression, frowned, “If you have something to say, just say it.

Stop stammering!”

Reprimanded, Lu Yingying mustered the courage to tell Geng Qiuyi about Xia Yue being taken by Yan Song and his men.

After pondering for a moment, Geng Qiuyi asked, “Which way did they go?”

“Mm, thank you, senior, for saving my life.

I will quickly reach the island and contact the outside through Nanjie Group…”

Was this girl scared silly?

Geng Qiuyi raised an eyebrow and interrupted loudly, “I asked you, which way did they go!”

“Huh?!”

Startled, Lu Yingying, who had assumed a refusal from his quick response, realized he agreed!

Lu Yingying, recovering from her surprise, quickly pointed out the direction to Geng Qiuyi excitedly, “That way, towards the sea after the valley!”

Nodding, Geng Qiuyi grabbed his long saber and prepared to set off.

Seeing his straightforwardness, Lu Yingying felt a pang of guilt, “Senior…”

“I am Geng Qiuyi.”

“Senior Geng…

this has nothing to do with you.

You don’t need to force yourself.

We can go to the shore and use Nanjie Group’s communicator to send the message out.”

Although it was to save Xia Yue, Lu Yingying couldn’t bear the thought of Geng Qiuyi risking his life because of her.

Geng Qiuyi paused, contemplated briefly, then spoke, “Once, on a secret realm expedition, I encountered several Evil Card Masters.

If someone hadn’t intervened to slay those demons, I wouldn’t be standing here today.

So, I decided that if I ever come across a similar situation, I will never stand by idly.”

Lu Yingying exclaimed, “Senior Geng, with your strength, you needed saving?”

“Back then, I hadn’t yet entered the Silver Stage.

Besides, there’s always someone better out there.”

With that, Geng Qiuyi’s figure flickered and rapidly disappeared.

Feeling the star power within herself, Lu Yingying didn’t hesitate and followed quickly…
