Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 103: Chapter 89: The Homeroom Teacher Chapter 103: Chapter 89: The Homeroom Teacher At 8 PM, Su Yuan finished his cultivation for the day early.

Tomorrow was the first official day of class, a significant event, and he needed to maintain his best state.

Su Yuan came down from the cultivation room on the second floor and took out his phone.

As expected, the final results for the mentor preselection were out.

His mentor was Yang Yifeng, no surprise there.

Su Yuan then opened the Demon Capital Academy forum.

These days, due to his obsession with cultivation, he hadn’t paid much attention to matters concerning the academy and the freshmen.

To quickly grasp the information, the Demon Capital Academy forum was undoubtedly the best place…

Upon entering the forum, he immediately saw a few popular posts marked in red:

“Preselection challenge ended, final mentor allocation results out, come and take a look!”

“Top geniuses among the freshmen of Demon Capital Academy, a comprehensive report on the 28 known Burning Disciples!”

“Freshman guide: 10 tips that freshmen at Demon Capital Academy must know!”

“Fire magic, ice saber, beast taming, summoning…

rational discussion on who is the strongest freshman!”

“The proud demon princess and the three-no white-haired loli, who’s your type?”

…

At this time, freshmen almost dominated the Demon Capital Academy forum, with lively discussions heating up the forum.

The senior students were used to this and mostly just watched the excitement without much commenting.

Only the second-year students occasionally interacted to maintain their presence.

Su Yuan clicked open these posts one by one and read them carefully.

Besides frequently seeing his name, as well as familiar faces like Luo Bingtong and Xia Yue, he also got to know about other Burning Disciples.

“Ye Qing, a current genius of the Ye Family, a Capitol Beast Taming Family, has contracted three Bronze Middle Stage Master Star Beasts: the Angry Wave Profound Turtle, the Storm Elf, and the Eight-Armed Demon Ape.

His strength is astonishing, possibly capable of battling Su Yuan’s two Hellfires!”

“Zhang Tai, from the Zhang Family of East Pole, has a fierce and brave combat style.

It is estimated that his strength is approximately equivalent to 0.7 Hellfires.”

“Du Tao, with his Overturning Sea Staff method, defeated all the young talents in East Pole City.

He might be able to compete with a bare Hellfire.”

“Mu Qingyu, a Wood Element Mage, is strong and also skilled in scouting and healing.”

“…”

Su Yuan browsed through them one by one and felt more and more speechless as he read.

Most of the Burning Disciples were evaluated with comments like “might have half a Hellfire’s prowess” or “could rival a Hellfire.”

Even those in the top hundred before enrollment had evaluations ranging from 0.1 to 0.4 Hellfires.

“My goodness, so now my Hellfire has become a reference unit of combat power…” Su Yuan rubbed his temples.

Such comparisons might not seem odd to most people, but for those being compared, it could be quite annoying.

For instance, Zhang Tai left a real-name comment below: “I’m not even worth one lousy Hellfire?

And not only that, but just a 0.7 Hellfire?

Does it have to be so precise?

Tower Owner, come out and explain this to me!”

Without the Tower Owner having to come out, there were already over a hundred comments below Zhang Tai’s post:

“Zhang Tai, you must not have been there on the first day of the preselection challenge, right?

0.7 Hellfire is already very strong!”

“Yeah, even Xiang Dingqian was beaten so badly.

Why don’t you go to the Practical Combat Hall and see if you can request to watch the video?”

“Or you can directly find Su Yuan and tell him you want to solo the Hellfire.”

“The person above is really unethical, leading others into a trap…”

Zhang Tai: “I will go and see how many noses and eyes this Hellfire has!”

“…”

Su Yuan read some comments and couldn’t help but shake his head with a smile.

This Zhang Tai was quite interesting.

Once teased by others, he seemed to genuinely want to find Hellfire for a fight.

Note, not a battle with Su Yuan, simply wanting to solo the Hellfire Su Yuan summoned…

Su Yuan continued browsing through the posts when he suddenly received a message.

Luo Bingtong: “Please take me to class.”

Su Yuan looked at the message, feeling an unexpected yet reasonable sensation.

The academy adopted a mentor + small class + course selection hybrid system.

Each person was assigned a mentor, and compulsory courses were arranged in classes of about thirty to forty people.

Then, there were optional courses like Barrier and Artifact Refining.

Naturally, Su Yuan and the other 28 Burning Disciples were placed in the same elite class.

Their fixed classroom was in the first classroom of the 4th teaching building.

The entire teaching area was located in the central region of Demon Capital Academy, with many teaching buildings.

Luo Bingtong got lost even going to the Practical Combat Hall, let alone to the more distant and complex teaching area.

Considering her poor sense of direction, Su Yuan pondered briefly and replied, “Okay, but I’ll only take you three times.”

Although it was on his way, everyone had their schedules.

Walking together was always inconvenient.

Taking her three times should be enough for her to remember the way, right?

For some reason, Su Yuan suddenly felt like he was “taking care of a child”…

After sending the message, Luo Bingtong replied quickly.

“Okay.”

…

Early the next morning, Su Yuan checked the time and felt it was about right.

He finished his morning exercise, had a quick breakfast, and left.

In the corridor in front of his door, Luo Bingtong was already standing there quietly.

Wearing the smallest size of the black uniform with purple edges, her silver-white short hair, and her flat chest.

“She really looks no different from a middle school student…”

Su Yuan shook his head secretly and walked up to her in a few steps.

“Been waiting long?” Su Yuan greeted, “When did you arrive?”

Luo Bingtong thought for a moment and then took out her phone, pressing it repeatedly.

After these days of contact, Luo Bingtong was clearly much more proficient in the skill of “using a phone” than before.

Within a few seconds, with Luo Bingtong stopping, Su Yuan also received a message on his phone.

Luo Bingtong: “Just arrived.”

“Then let’s go.” Su Yuan nodded and then led Luo Bingtong towards the teaching area.

…

The first classroom of the 3rd teaching building was a very spacious large classroom.

Besides the seats, more than two-thirds of the space was completely cleared, seemingly for demonstrations and training.

Su Yuan arrived around 7:40, not too late.

However, when he arrived, the classroom was almost full.

People like Xiang Dingqian, Shang Baiyu, and Xia Yue were already there.

Some students sat alone, while more were chatting in groups of two or three.

With Su Yuan’s arrival, the entire classroom inevitably quieted down as everyone couldn’t help but focus and scrutinize the most famous freshman since the beginning of school.

“So that’s Su Yuan.

Doesn’t look particularly special, but quite delicate in appearance.”

“Qingyu, I’d advise you not to mess with him.

He’s ruthless, treats girls no differently…”

Sitting by the window, Zhang Tai looked at Su Yuan with eager eyes: “Is that Hellfire really as powerful as described on the forum?

I’ll challenge him after class!”

Sitting towards the back with Ye Qing, Xiang Dingqian also noticed Su Yuan and unconsciously touched his reattached left ear, looking very displeased.

“Su Yuan, you’re here?” Shang Baiyu, sitting in a front seat near the door, greeted enthusiastically.

Su Yuan smiled and nodded.

Seeing an empty seat next to Shang Baiyu, he directly sat there with Luo Bingtong.

“Why are you here so early?” Su Yuan asked.

“First day, a bit excited.

Ɲονɡο.сο

It was always so quiet in the valley back then, not as many peers!”

“Valley?” Su Yuan’s heart moved.

He lowered his voice and asked, “Do you mean ‘Mo Mei Valley’ that the teacher mentioned?”

“That’s right.” Shang Baiyu replied softly as well.

Su Yuan nodded and didn’t ask any more.

“By the way,” Shang Baiyu asked, “Do you know who our homeroom teacher is?”

“Seems like her name is He Yanan.” Su Yuan thought for a moment.

The name of their elite class’s homeroom teacher was at the top of the class list, “Judging by the name, it should be a female teacher.

Come to think of it, I think I’ve seen it before…”

“She’s Xia Yue’s teacher.” Shang Baiyu reminded.

“Oh right…” Su Yuan recalled seeing the name while browsing the forum yesterday.

Su Yuan turned to look not far away.

Xia Yue was sitting with her arms crossed, looking unapproachable.

The surrounding students didn’t dare to talk to her…

The clock at the front of the classroom showed time ticking by.

The few remaining students also arrived one after another.

When it was less than half a minute before eight, a figure hurriedly rushed into the classroom and stood firmly.

“Haha, everyone’s already here early!”

The person who entered was a bit over 1.6 meters tall, with long purple hair, dark healthy skin, and a mature figure even hidden under her clothing.

With her hands resting on the lecture desk, He Yanan’s lips curled into a smile.

Her bright golden eyes looked spiritedly at the students below.

“Hello everyone, I am your homeroom teacher, He Yanan!”
