Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 117: Chapter 103 Quicksand Sect’s Move Chapter 117: Chapter 103 Quicksand Sect’s Move Looking at the three corpses on the ground, their deaths were varied but all rather tragic.

Su Yuan retrieved the space rings from each of them one by one.

Apart from the Red Fire Qingjin, the star core and bull horns of the Bull Demon, which he had just acquired, Su Yuan discovered a large number of Red Fire Stones in their rings.

Including the dozen or so units of Red Fire Stones around the Red Fire Essence Gold, he counted meticulously, and there were over fifty units altogether!

After all, they were three Silver Stage individuals.

Their collection efficiency was much higher than that of Bronze Levels!

But now, it all conveniently fell into his hands…

“Indeed, killing and looting is the fastest way to get rich…”

Su Yuan couldn’t help but sigh to himself.

In the three days he had been here, he had only found twenty units of Red Fire Stones.

Adding the fifty-some units here, it totaled over seventy units.

Four hours at the Star Mist Pool were already enough!

Initially, Su Yuan estimated that this trip, even without considering travel time, would take more than ten days on Red Sand Flame Island.

But now it was almost done…

“Having come all this way, it’s worth spending a few more days to gather some more Star Dust, and possibly accumulate a hundred units of Red Fire Stones…”

After a bit of thought, Su Yuan manipulated the Hellfire and continued his sweeping…

A few days later, at a location on Red Sand Flame Island.

Several young students from South Pole Academy used the Fireball Technique to start a fire and were roasting the Red Fire Lizards they had hunted on the island.

Three men and one woman, the four were eating while occasionally glancing at a young man lying on a big rock basking in the sunlight not far away.

The young man had red hair and red eyes, holding a crimson long knife, looking quite unapproachable.

He was none other than Geng Qiuyi, who had previously lost his Hellfire in the Molten Lava Cave.

Among the four, a girl with golden curly hair, who was mainly in charge of roasting the meat, handed the best piece of meat to a boy beside her.

“Yang Yang, go give it to the senior.”

Yang Yang looked reluctant, but under the blonde girl’s compelling gaze, he took the roasted meat and walked towards the young man lying on the big rock.

“Senior Brother Geng, this Red Fire Lizard was roasted by Little Ruan.

It tastes pretty good.

This piece was roasted especially for you.

It’s very fragrant~”

“No need.” Geng Qiuyi didn’t even open his eyes, only felt the sun above him was slightly blocked by Yang Yang, and frowned.

“Move aside a bit; don’t block my sunlight…”

Yang Yang quickly stood aside to let the sunlight through and said resentfully, “Senior Brother Geng, I’ll just leave the meat here.

Have it when you feel like it…”

Seeing no response from Geng Qiuyi, Yang Yang placed the meat skewer on the ground beside the big rock, then turned and sat back with his companions.

“Senior Geng seems hard to get along with…” a rather thin boy whispered.

Another boy with glasses adjusted his glasses and said, “Senior Geng is just cold on the outside but warm on the inside.

The other day when Little Ruan was ambushed by the Red Poison Bee Queen, wasn’t he the first to take action?

Otherwise, we might have had to end our trip here.

My Healing Skill can’t dispel the poison of the Red Poison Bee Queen.”

Ruan Xingyun nodded with a bit of lingering fear, “Thanks to Senior Geng…”

Listening to their conversation, Yang Yang thought for a moment and said, “Actually, I heard from the teacher that although Senior Brother Geng was originally somewhat irritable, he wasn’t like this.

It seems something happened recently…”

“An incident…”

Everyone looked thoughtful.

Although the students in the academy were still students, they were also Star Card Masters, and incidents were not uncommon.

Ruan Xingyun said, “We’d better stop speculating.

Since we have almost enough Red Fire Stones, why don’t we return?

Senior Geng can then go look for the Red Fire Essence Gold.

It’s not convenient for him to look after us and search for the Red Fire Essence Gold at the same time.”

“Agreed.” Yang Yang and the others nodded.

The tall and thin boy laughed, “Speaking of which, we really have to thank Yang Yang’s mentor.

Otherwise, we wouldn’t have such a skilled senior escorting us on our first task.”

Yang Yang shook his head, “From what I know, although the teacher mentioned our trip to Senior Brother Geng, who was already planning to come to Red Sand Flame Island for the Red Fire Essence Gold, he agreed without asking for anything extra and didn’t even request additional academic points.”

“No extra points?”

Ruan Xingyun and the other three were surprised.

They thought Senior Geng had extra points for this trip, but it turned out he was helping out of his goodwill?

They didn’t expect this seemingly irritable and difficult-to-talk-to senior to be so kind-hearted!

“What are you whispering about over here?” Suddenly, Geng Qiuyi’s voice came from behind them.

Startled, the four turned around to find that Geng Qiuyi had arrived quietly, holding his knife in his right hand and biting down on the roasted meat in his left.

“Ah, just chatting!” Yang Yang laughed awkwardly.

Seeing Geng Qiuyi finally eating the meat, Yang Yang and the others felt secretly glad.

Ruan Xingyun stood up and said, “Senior Geng, we are preparing to return.

You can continue searching for the Red Fire Essence Gold…”

Before he finished speaking, Geng Qiuyi suddenly became serious and covered Ruan Xingyun’s mouth with a hand.

“Shh!”

Geng Qiuyi made a gesture for silence.

Ruan Xingyun was initially shocked, and then her face turned crimson.

Geng Qiuyi slightly turned his head, looking at a spot not far away.

Yang Yang and the others also became alert, following Geng Qiuyi’s gaze.

After a few seconds, several figures in yellow-brown robes approached from the distance, passing by Geng Qiuyi and his group without stopping, and hurried straight ahead.

“These people don’t look easy to deal with…” Once the yellow-robed individuals were out of sight, the thin boy couldn’t help but show some worry.

Geng Qiuyi stared in the direction they went, his face expressionless.

“One Silver Middle Stage, and the rest are at least Bronze Middle Stage.”

Yang Yang frowned tightly, “Senior Brother, those people seemed quite hostile…”

Ruan Xingyun, having returned to normal, thought for a moment, “They’re numerous, and we’re limited in strength.

If it doesn’t concern us, it’s better not to interfere.”

The tall and thin boy with glasses also nodded gravely, “Indeed.

And we should distance ourselves now to avoid involvements.

This is a dangerous area; carelessness can be fatal…”

Listening to their discussion, Geng Qiuyi suddenly spoke, “Didn’t you just say you’re planning to return?”

Yang Yang responded, “Yeah, we’ve collected enough Red Fire Stones.

Thank you, Senior Brother, for accompanying us these days.

You should go find the Red Fire Essence Gold.”

Geng Qiuyi nodded, “Alright, you should return right now.”

“Okay, Senior Brother, take care!”

Geng Qiuyi nodded lightly.

Efficient as always, they immediately rose and headed back without hesitation.

Once they were gone, Geng Qiuyi turned back to the direction the yellow-robed group had disappeared.

He narrowed his eyes.

“No matter if you’re Evil Card Masters or not, since I’ve come across you, don’t blame me for intervening.”

Geng Qiuyi let out a cold snort, gripped his long knife, and dashed off…

Nearby, in a valley not far from Geng Qiuyi and the others, two girls fiercely battled a Silver Middle Stage elite Sand Devouring Beast.

One girl had a round face, stood about 1.6 meters tall, and wielded a water-colored long knife.

The other girl wore her black hair in twin ponytails, dressed in a crop top and shorts, with a red jacket over it.

She held a magic wand embedded with a ruby.

These two were Lu Yingying and Xia Yue.

“Level Flow Slash!”

“Fiery Blast!”

Although the two girls were only at the Bronze Early Stage and Bronze Middle Stage, their cooperation of water and fire, close and far, was quite coordinated.

They held their own against the Silver Middle Stage Sand Devouring Beast!

However, the Sand Devouring Beast, being an earth element Star Beast, could manipulate sand and stone.

Its attack power was limited, but its defense was strong.

Despite Lu Yingying’s slashes and Xia Yue’s bombardments, the Sand Devouring Beast, using its sand shield, only suffered superficial wounds, without significant damage.

Xia Yue frowned, knowing the disparity in their realms was too great.

Ordinary tactics wouldn’t defeat it.

“Yingying, we can’t keep this up!”

While restricting the Sand Devouring Beast’s movements with water magic, Lu Yingying asked, “Little Yue, do you have any ideas?”

Xia Yue was about to speak when the Sand Devouring Beast, fed up with its inability to catch them, roared in fury.

Its Silver Middle Stage star power surged out!

Lu Yingying, in close combat, immediately sensed it.

Shocked, she swiftly retreated.

In the next moment, an overwhelming amount of sand exploded around the Sand Devouring Beast, forming a twenty-meter-high sand tsunami, rolling menacingly toward Lu Yingying and Xia Yue!

It wasn’t a particularly powerful skill, but the beast intended to crush them with sheer strength of its Silver Middle Stage star power.

Facing the advancing sand tsunami, Xia Yue’s face turned slightly pale.

At her speed, she couldn’t escape.

Her only option was to confront it head-on and create a large enough breach in the sand wave, but she lacked such large-scale moves.

“I’ll handle the sand!”

At this moment, Lu Yingying stepped forward with her knife.

“Little Yue, prepare your ultimate move to finish it off, okay?”

Looking at Lu Yingying’s back, Xia Yue felt an unusual sense of calmness and reliability, contrasting with her usual soft demeanor.

“No problem!”

Xia Yue immediately stepped back, her star power fluctuating as she prepared her ultimate move with all her might.

Seeing Xia Yue start her preparations, Lu Yingying also began her actions.

Sealing with her left hand, a large amount of bi-colored star power surged from within, wrapping around her.

In moments, it formed a majestic feather water armor.

Blue soul skill: Sea God Feather Armor!

Transformed, Lu Yingying’s strength surged.

With a thought, waves rippled from her blade.

A rapid flow of water shot from the edge, extending forty meters long!

Holding the forty-meter Raging Blade, Lu Yingying calmly faced the rapidly approaching sand tsunami.

As the sand tsunami neared, Lu Yingying’s eyes gleamed sharply.

She slashed down fiercely toward the oncoming sand!

Sea God Second Form: Sea Breaking!

With the slice, the forty-meter water blade dissipated, revealing her knife.

In front of Lu Yingying, a blue ripple soared, slicing the overwhelming sand tsunami in half!
