Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 104: Chapter 90 Duties and Responsibilities Chapter 104: Chapter 90 Duties and Responsibilities “I am your class teacher, He Yanan!”

“Hello, teacher!” Influenced by He Yanan’s aura, everyone in the classroom echoed in unison.

Except for Luo Bingtong, who didn’t seem to speak.

He Yanan looked at the youthful faces below, nodding in satisfaction.

“There are nameplates on your desks.

Those of you who haven’t written your name yet, write it down so I can learn who you are.”

Su Yuan casually wrote his name.

Looking aside, he saw that Luo Bingtong had also written hers.

In Su Yuan’s eyes, Luo Bingtong found typing difficult; it would be good enough if she could draw out her name.

However, to Su Yuan’s great surprise, contrary to his expectation of messy scrawls, Luo Bingtong’s handwriting was elegant and refined, much better than his own, comparable to some calligraphy teachers!

Luo Bingtong, seeing Su Yuan’s strange expression, blinked her blue eyes as if to ask, “What’s wrong?”

Su Yuan shook his head and turned away.

Seeing everyone place their nameplates properly, He Yanan began, “Today is the first lesson of your enrollment.

We won’t talk about study and cultivation yet.

I want to ask you all first: How much do you know about our Great Flame Country?”

The people below showed contemplative expressions, but no one volunteered to answer.

Seeing this, He Yanan said sternly, “In my class, if you have questions or things you want to say, don’t raise your hand.

Just ask or say them directly.

If you have doubts, I will try to clarify them.

If you’re wrong, I or your classmates here will point it out.

The academy is different from high school; there’s no teacher to push you forward.

In the academy, self-drive is the most important!

If you don’t ask, you might never learn some things.

If you don’t speak, you might never realize some mistakes!”

As soon as He Yanan finished speaking, Zhang Tai, sitting by the window, stood up first.

“Our Great Flame Country is located on the East Continent of Blue Sea Star, with a population close to two billion and tens of millions of Star Card Masters.

The national power is strong, martial arts are prosperous, and it’s one of the two major powers on the East Continent!”

He Yanan nodded, indicating for Zhang Tai to sit down.

“Anything else?”

On the other side, Mu Qingyu stood up and answered, “The Great Flame is in the southernmost part of the East Continent, with the Ancient Forbidden Zone to the east, the sea to the south, and vast lands to the north, filled with various countries, organizations, and factions.”

“Correct,” He Yanan looked at Mu Qingyu’s nameplate, nodding, “Just like Mu Qingyu said, the East Continent is vast, and Blue Sea Star is even bigger.

Let me ask, has anyone among you been outside the Great Flame, even a single step?”

With this question, the classroom immediately fell silent.

Everyone looked at each other, but no one stood up.

He Yanan waited for a while.

Seeing no one was answering, she said, “It seems not, but that’s normal because the outside world is not safe.

Your families naturally wouldn’t let you go.

The existence of Star Power makes a Star Card Master’s destructive power exceedingly great.

Any Bronze-level Star Card Master can easily massacre hundreds of ordinary people until their Star Power runs out, making many places unsafe.

The cost of maintaining order far exceeds the cost of destruction.

Within the Great Flame, with the protection of a powerful nation, you hardly feel any danger.

But in some small countries with limited national power, extremely vile incidents frequently occur.

In such chaos, ordinary people find survival exceptionally difficult.

Although all countries strictly prohibit Star Card Masters from unjustifiably killing ordinary people, there are always some who slaughter the innocent and flee.

Even when they are wanted, it’s hard to catch them.

So, if you’re not a Star Card Master, don’t even think about leaving the Great Flame for other countries.

Even if you are a Star Card Master, without basic self-preservation abilities, it’s best not to leave the country.”

At this point, He Yanan changed her tone, “This is the danger to you.

For the Great Flame, the current situation isn’t good, either.

Although we have agreements with the Ancient Forbidden Zone to the east, it has become increasingly restless over the past few decades.

The southern sea is vast, with countless deep-sea Star Beasts lurking in the depths, unfathomable and filled with uncertainties.

The northern powers are numerous and complex.

In recent years, chaos has arisen frequently, often leading to conflicts that sometimes affect us.

Who knows when such conflicts might escalate and destabilize the entire East Continent?

Within the Great Flame itself, there are considerable hidden dangers.

Fugitives, heretics, Evil Card Masters, foreign spies…

These cancers create chaos, assassinate domestic talents, spread words that undermine social stability, and carry out countless evil acts!

So, the Great Flame isn’t as invincible and prosperous as it appears.

It faces both internal and external threats.”

Hearing He Yanan’s words, some in the class looked grave; some were indifferent, believing that the Great Flame, having stood firm in the south of East Continent for countless years, couldn’t have so many problems; others were skeptical, thinking He Yanan might be exaggerating to stress the freshmen.

But Su Yuan knew that regarding domestic hidden dangers, He Yanan wasn’t exaggerating at all.

Because he had personally slain three Evil Card Masters who saw human lives as mere grass and killed without blinking an eye in the Molten Lava Cave!

If he hadn’t killed those three, who knows how many would have been killed by them, including the dozen Corpse Servants controlled by Mo Wenwen, among which Zhuang Xun would have been hard to save…

He Yanan ignored whether the students believed her or not.

She said sternly, “To handle these internal and external threats, the solution is simple: to have more and stronger Star Card Masters!

That’s why the Great Flame implements numerous policies and spends massive resources to continuously cultivate Star Card Masters.

Not to let you become powerful only to look down on everyone from a high position, enjoying the privileges and respect of the powerful, but to let you grow quickly and bring more protection to the country and the people of the Great Flame!

This isn’t a mandatory responsibility; it’s a duty and the responsibility that a Star Card Master of the Great Flame should bear!”

Not a responsibility, but a duty and responsibility!

Although He Yanan was a woman, her speech was powerful and sonorous, striking heavily at everyone’s heart!

Everyone was shaken and began to ponder deeply.

Even Su Yuan, who had never thought about contributing to his country before, only wanted to become stronger.

Seeing this, He Yanan secretly nodded.

In the past, before the academy system was widespread, many Star Card Masters were extremely self-centered.

Growing under the country’s protection, they didn’t give back but created much chaos.

When the academy system became widespread, not only did the quality of Star Card Masters improve, but it also became easier to guide the new generation of Star Card Masters psychologically.

These young people were like raw jade, much to be carved but also easily corrupted.

A slight misstep could lead them astray, so appropriate psychological construction was very important.

After letting everyone ponder for a while, He Yanan continued, “For now, you don’t need to think too much.

Just focus on growing quickly.

During your future academy life, you’ll receive various tasks.

For example, assisting in capturing fugitives and investigating heinous incidents.

These are both to train you and to maintain stability across the country.

When you see it with your own eyes, you’ll know that what I said today is true.”
