Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 111: Chapter 97: Opening the Star Cave, Connecting to the Star Nest Chapter 111: Chapter 97: Opening the Star Cave, Connecting to the Star Nest “Breathing?”

Su Yuan was taken aback.

He had never heard of such a thing before.

“Breathing?

Aren’t we always breathing?”

“This definitely isn’t the usual kind of breathing.

It must be related to Star Power.”

“Could it be some high-grade skill?!”

…

The students in the class were all puzzled and started discussing it aloud in confusion.

He Yanan was happy to let them discuss and think about it.

After waiting a while, she slowly said, “Breathing is not about breathing through the mouth and nose, but ‘breathing’ with Star Power.”

“Star Power Breathing?” Apart from Shang Baiyu and Xiang Dingqian, the students in the classroom were even more confused.

He Yanan asked, “Usually, your Star Power is stored in the Star Power Vortex at your chest, and it only gets mobilized when you use it, right?”

“Yes, the Star Power Vortex is the storage place for Star Power.

Isn’t that right?”

He Yanan smiled, “Of course, that’s correct.

This is the most primitive and basic way, but it has quite a few drawbacks.

Just now, when Zhang Tai faced my first Star Power Bullet, although he reacted, by the time my bullet hit him, his Star Power defense hadn’t fully activated.

This happened because it takes time for Star Power to surge from the Star Power Vortex and flow to the designated position in the body.

Even though this time is very short, in a duel between experts, a tiny difference could lead to drastically different results.

This is one of the shortcomings of storing Star Power entirely in the Star Power Vortex: activation delay.”

The class nodded in agreement.

Xia Yue had already mentioned this earlier, so it wasn’t difficult to understand.

He Yanan continued, “Moreover, even if they directed Star Power to the impact point to block the subsequent bullets, they could not stop them all.

This wasn’t because there was insufficient Star Power gathered, but because the Star Power within their bodies couldn’t move quickly enough to intercept most of the bullets.

This is the second shortcoming.”

Moving the condensed Star Power from one part of the body to another also takes a very short amount of time, and the larger the quantity of Star Power, the slower it moves.

Thus, after barely blocking three Star Power Bullets, Zhang Tai and the others could no longer keep up.

“And breathing is a superior way of storing and operating Star Power, which can address these primitive method’s drawbacks!”

He Yanan looked at the class and started to explain seriously.

“Breathing, as the name implies, allows Star Power to circulate within the body continuously, just like our natural breathing.

Starting from the Star Power Vortex at the chest, it flows through the entire body and finally returns to the Star Power Vortex, forming a cycle.

In the breathing state, the Star Power already fills every part of the body.

This way, when any part of the body needs to mobilize a large amount of Star Power from the Star Power Vortex, it can be delivered almost instantaneously, much faster than the primitive method!”

The students felt a surge of excitement at her words.

They were experienced Star Card Masters, having been through various battles.

The significance of being able to spontaneously and with minimal delay unleash massive amounts of Star Power anywhere in the body was immediately apparent.

In close combat, for some moves that do not require charging, it would allow them to conceal their attack intentions until the last moment.

More importantly, when facing a ‘sneak attack’ or ‘opponent’s unexpected moves,’ they could respond more quickly, avoiding the delay caused by Star Power activation and cumbersome operation that could lead to being at a disadvantage or even losing their life.

“Shang Baiyu was able to block all the Star Power Bullets because he has mastered entry-level ‘breathing’ and can freely unleash and mobilize his Star Power.

Additionally, Star Power ‘breathing’ has many other benefits, such as Concealing Breath.

This is due to the evenly flowing Star Power on the body surface, which not only remains inactive but also absorbs the slight Star Power fluctuations occasionally emitted from the Star Power Vortex.”

“So that’s how it is!” Su Yuan suddenly understood.

He had never figured out how Xiang Dingqian and Shang Baiyu managed to conceal their breath and had even tried to do so by containing his Star Power Vortex.

The result was to release Star Power and form a circulating flow within the body…

It seemed indeed better to let it flow than to block it!

Zhang Tai was already impatient, “Teacher Xiao He, please teach us how to make Star Power ‘breathe’!”

“Alright!” He Yanan’s expression turned slightly serious as she stood up straight.

“I’ll demonstrate it only once, so watch carefully…”

As soon as she finished speaking, an intensely concentrated golden light burst out from He Yanan, dimming the entire classroom as if night had fallen, under the overwhelming Star Power!

Centered at He Yanan’s chest, numerous stars shined with golden light distributed all around her body.

A golden stream quietly flowed from her chest, passing through the golden stars all over her body before returning to her chest, forming a complete and continuous cycle.

Even Luo Bingtong, in her Star Beast form, stared intently at the quietly flowing golden Star Power and those golden stars on He Yanan.

In the darkness, everything seemed especially clear.

However, this simple Star Power flow trajectory soon changed as more golden stars lit up within He Yanan’s body.

It gradually became more delicate and complex, flowing through more and more golden Star Dust.

After undergoing two changes, it formed a rather three-dimensional flow trajectory!

Moments later, as He Yanan blinked slightly, the golden light on her body slowly retracted back, and the classroom regained its brightness.

The classroom fell silent as everyone was still immersed in the Star Power trajectories they had just witnessed on He Yanan.

After about ten seconds, everyone came back to their senses and looked up one by one.

“Did you all memorize it?” He Yanan asked.

The students, filled with excitement, responded, “We did!”

He Yanan nodded.

In fact, the demonstration just now was called ‘Star Power Projection,’ using a technique to visually and sensorially project the Star Power flow trajectory into the students’ minds.

As long as they didn’t deliberately forget, they should be able to recall it quite clearly.

“The technique for establishing Star Power Breathing is to circulate Star Power continuously along the trajectory I demonstrated.

To achieve easier and quicker circulation of Star Power, you need to open up the 12 Star Nests hidden in the 12 meridians of your body.

Each Star Nest is composed of 6 Star Caves, totaling 72 Star Caves.

Based on the number of Star Nests involved in the Star Power circulation, we categorize Star Power Breathing like skills into five levels from Entry-level to Perfect, ranging from simple to complex, from external to internal, gradually encompassing all 12 Star Nests.

What I just demonstrated were the trajectories for the Entry-level, Skilled, and Master levels.

By opening the outermost four Star Nests, one can broadly cover the whole body with Star Power flow, reaching the Entry-level.

After that, opening every additional two Star Nests upgrades the level.

However, although Entry-level Star Power Breathing is easy, the difficulty of opening Star Caves increases exponentially as you progress!

Up to now, I’ve only fully opened ten Star Nests.

I can’t even estimate how many more years it’ll take to achieve perfection…

Yet even so, my progress within the Burning Sun Level is not considered slow.”

Mu Qingyu asked, “Teacher Xiao He, how should we open the Star Caves?”

“Following the trajectory of Star Power flow I showed, find the 1st Star Cave in the first Star Nest around your left shoulder.

Focus your Star Power and impact it, then move on to the 2nd Star Cave, the 3rd Star Cave…

and so forth.”

“How do we know if we found the right position?”

“That’s simple.

If the position is correct, there will be a feeling of blockage and swelling.

If it’s wrong, you’ll feel a sharp pain.”

“Ah!…

”

As soon as He Yanan finished speaking, a boy in the classroom opened his eyes with a painful expression, and quickly visible beads of sweat began to form on his forehead.

“See, that’s what it’s like when the direction is wrong.” He Yanan gestured toward the boy.

“Opening Star Caves and establishing Star Power circulation not only consumes a lot of Star Power but also requires a high degree of focus, which continuously depletes spiritual power.

So you need to combine it with your spiritual power, arranging your breathing practice and Star Power cultivation time reasonably.

With your current Bronze Level Star Power Strength, opening the outermost four Star Nests shouldn’t be difficult.

I’ll give you two months, and we’ll conduct a test with Star Power Bullets just like today.

Of course, the reward remains one academic point per bullet hit!”

Su Yuan’s eyes brightened at the words.

His spiritual talent wasn’t low, and with the significant enhancement from the Hell Chanting Ring, opening the Star Caves should be much faster than others.

Moreover, spending too much time on Star Power cultivation each day leads to fatigue and decreased effectiveness, so he could use more time for breathing practice.

Everyone else was also joyful.

This was an excellent opportunity to earn academic points.

Even if they couldn’t get them all, they should aim for twenty or thirty points at least!

Xiang Dingqian, particularly, felt excited.

He had already opened 19 Star Caves before, and in two months, the remaining 5 should be no problem at all!

“Teacher Xiao He, can I still participate in the test then?” Shang Baiyu asked hesitantly.

He Yanan grinned, “What do you think?”

Shang Baiyu replied weakly, “If it’s like this, I won’t gain any points.

It’s just like getting the 50 points in advance…”

He Yanan snorted, “How is it not a gain?

By acquiring points early, you can convert them into strength sooner.

A step ahead leads to many steps ahead; don’t you understand?”

“Alright, alright…”

Shang Baiyu certainly understood the reasoning.

He just wanted to see if he could earn another 50 points.

As it turns out, there wouldn’t be such an opportunity in the next test…
