Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 101: Chapter 87 Skill Planning Chapter 101: Chapter 87 Skill Planning September 8th, afternoon.

Southern First Garden, Room 4, second-floor lounge, Su Yuan slowly opened his eyes.

“The effect of this week’s cultivation was worth ten days before.”

Feeling the visible growth of Star Power in his body, Su Yuan couldn’t help but show a satisfied smile.

These days, Su Yuan hadn’t left the house.

Apart from eating and sleeping, he had basically spent his time in the second-floor cultivation room.

He picked up his phone from the side and saw that Yang Yifeng had sent a message.

“Come to the Book Tower, the usual spot.”

The message was received at noon.

Su Yuan didn’t dare to delay, replied with a word, and immediately set off.

“Today is really much livelier…” Su Yuan scanned the Book Tower.

Compared to a few days ago when he had just enrolled, there were many more people in the Book Tower today because the senior students had also started school.

Su Yuan arrived at the walkway on the outer side of the third floor.

Yang Yifeng was already waiting there.

But today, Yang Yifeng was quite different.

He was no longer in a white vest and slippers but was dressed in an exquisite green robe, with well-groomed beard and sideburns.

The whole person had undergone a dramatic change, exuding the aura of a reclusive master.

“The man relies on clothes” is not just talk…

“Teacher.” Su Yuan walked up and greeted.

“Yes, sit down.”

Su Yuan sat down opposite Yang Yifeng and asked, “Did you call me for something?”

“Nothing special.

Since the preliminary challenges will end today, and you and Shang Baiyu are officially my students, I wanted to have a chat with you two separately.”

Su Yuan asked, “Where is Shang Baiyu?”

“I’ve already talked to him.”

Su Yuan’s heart stirred.

Talking to them separately meant today’s conversation might involve personal cultivation.

Cultivation is relatively private.

Apart from the mentor-student relationship, even fellow students are not allowed to disclose it.

For example, Su Yuan wouldn’t ask why Shang Baiyu liked to heal others so much.

Yang Yifeng waved his left sleeve, and a streak of blue Star Power was infused into the void nearby and vanished.

Immediately, Su Yuan felt everything around him quieting down.

The sounds from within the Book Tower and the wind from the tower’s edge all disappeared.

“Soundproofing technique?”

Yang Yifeng casually said, “It’s not any magic, just simply using Star Power to block the sound.”

“Pure Star Power can achieve soundproofing…”

Su Yuan couldn’t help but be surprised.

Up to now, based on his middle school education, Su Yuan only knew that Star Cards could effectively unleash the Star Card Master’s Star Power capabilities.

Yang Yifeng smiled and said, “You will also learn this after school starts.

Even without relying on skills, there are many techniques to utilize Star Power.”

Su Yuan nodded.

Yang Yifeng restrained his smile and said, “I have seen your combat recordings in the Practical Combat Hall from a few days ago.”

Su Yuan pondered for a moment, “Have I caused trouble for you, Teacher?”

“Mm?” Yang Yifeng was stunned, then reacted and shook his head with a smile, saying, “It’s nothing.

You handled it quite well.”

“Then, what do you want to say…?”

Yang Yifeng looked at Su Yuan and slowly said, “I saw you mainly used two Summoning Techniques from the Hell Plane in the Practical Combat Hall.

One is Green Grade, and the other is Blue Grade.

If I’m not mistaken, both have reached the Perfect Level, right?”

Su Yuan replied, “Yes, that’s correct.”

“As expected!”

A look of amazement appeared in Yang Yifeng’s eyes.

“Before selecting you, I also inquired with Hai Ping about you.

He mentioned that your skill talent is amazing, and you even independently developed compound skills.

He jokingly called you ‘Little Huangfu.’

Now it seems, I think he was being modest.

With the talent you’ve shown, you may not be inferior to Huangfu Qi!”

“Thank you for the compliment, Teacher.” Su Yuan modestly chuckled.

I don’t just have one Perfect Blue Skill.

All my Blue Skills have been upgraded to Perfect…

“But…” Yang Yifeng’s tone changed.

“According to Hai Ping, you are not specialized in summoning but rather a Space-type Star Card Master, and have cultivated skills like Steel Flame Finger, Gray Flame Strike, and Elemental Magnetism Pressure, right?”

“That’s right.

Nether Wolf Summon and Hellfire Summon are just two powerful Summoning Cards I obtained unexpectedly.”

Yang Yifeng nodded and suddenly asked, “Then what are your plans for embedding your future skills?”

Skill embedding planning…

Hearing this topic, Su Yuan couldn’t help but think.

In fact, Su Yuan had already considered this issue.

If possible, of course, embedding all Space-related skills would be the best.

But Space-related skills are not only rare but often of high quality.

Su Yuan’s current luck only allowed him to obtain one [Space Cut] from the Soul Comforting Mysterious Burial Tablet.

As for other Space-related skills, there were no clues at all.

At this moment, seeing Yang Yifeng bring up this issue, Su Yuan thought for a moment and said, “On the premise of embedding Space-related skills in Soul Card Skills, I will select and embed ordinary skill slots based on my shortcomings and needs.”

Yang Yifeng seemed to have expected this answer and nodded, “For you, such a choice is indeed not wrong.

Space-related Star Cards are rare.

Being a Space-related Star Card Master, embedding other attribute Star Cards will not provide additional boosts.

Therefore, regardless of attribute, only looking at the type and choosing the best is indeed fine.

But in doing so, because of the lack of talent boosts, your non-space-related skills in ordinary skill slots will be inherently weaker than those of specialized Star Card Masters.

Take a Burning Sun-Level Fire Star Card Master, for instance.

Enhancement talents generally can boost the power of fire skills by 30% to 40%; consumption reduction talents can typically reduce the Star Power consumption of fire skills by nearly half.

Using Gray Flame Strike, for example, a Fire Star Card Master with fire enhancement talents will be stronger than you.

For now, it’s fine.

Your skill level can directly overwhelm others, so this gap is not obvious.

But when others’ skills are trained or when you face older enemies, your skill advantage will be significantly narrowed or even erased.”

Yang Yifeng earnestly said, “Soul Skills are important, but ordinary skills are also crucial.

At the Lower Three Levels, Soul Skills are limited in number, and most battles still rely on ordinary skills.

When reaching the Shining Star-Level or even King-Level, the focus will gradually shift to Soul Card battles.”

Hearing this, Su Yuan couldn’t help but smile bitterly, “Teacher, I understand what you are saying.

But Space Star Cards are not as easy to find as Fire Star Cards.

And if skill slots are left unused, after upgrading, the Star Power vortex for its stability will automatically close the unused slots.

It can’t be left there for future embedding…”

In fact, Su Yuan had already experienced what Yang Yifeng was talking about.

A few days ago in the Practical Combat Hall, Xia Yue’s Fiery Flame Red Lotus was clearly only at the Skilled Level, but with the double boost of her fire talent and blue magic wand, its power was already equivalent to Burning Sun-level Hellfire!

Yang Yifeng said, “Over countless years, both ancient and modern, there have been Space, Time, and Destiny Star Card Masters with such special attributes.

Besides, among many no-attribute Star Card Masters, some also desperately needed to break the attribute barrier.

It’s not just you who face this issue.”

Su Yuan understood immediately, “Teacher, do you mean there are other solutions?”

Yang Yifeng smiled, “Indeed there are.

But such methods mostly lie within Epic-level and above Star Cards.

Only Epic-level and above Star Cards may carry some special effects, like fire enhancement.

Although an Epic Purple Card may seem far away for you, you can start preparing now.”

Su Yuan thought and immediately stood up to salute, “Please guide me, Teacher.”

Su Yuan was different from noble family’s progeny.

Apart from resource issues, noble family’s progeny had another major advantage: they had broad horizons and guidance from senior masters in the family.

The cultivation direction and every stage’s details were guided by senior masters in the family.

For instance, Xiang Dingqian’s Soul Card was the Heavenly Gang Star, awakening the Soul Card skill Heavenly Gang Energy.

Therefore, the family arranged a highly compatible Ancient Soldier Soul for Xiang Dingqian as his first Soul Skill.

But not everyone is from a noble family, and not everyone can afford expert guidance.

Someone like Su Yuan, with no background, couldn’t ensure obtaining Epic Purple Cards in the future.

Besides Soul Cards, there were many ordinary skill slots that couldn’t be reasonably prepared and planned.

So, this is where the importance of the academy lies.

The academy has mentors.

And the stronger the mentor, the broader their horizon, the richer their resources, and the more guidance and help they can provide.
