Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 1466: Chapter 1465 Yan Qing Leaving

Everyone had their heads bowed, and the vice team leader’s voice choked as he said,

”War God Lin, we were wrong. Please punish us!”

”No matter how severe the punishment, we are willing to accept it.”

”Only, could you... perhaps not dismiss us from the military? Let us redeem ourselves by merit, even if it costs us our lives.”

At that moment, the others also tearfully spoke up:

”Yes, War God Lin, as long as you don’t dismiss us from the military, any punishment will do.”

”I can’t leave the War Department.”

”I can’t bear to part with my comrades.”

”...”

The members of the Piranha Special Operations Team and soldiers from other combat zones of the War Department all looked toward Lin Dong.

Tang Jun mustered his courage to speak directly to Lin Dong, ”Instructor, could you... perhaps not dismiss their military status?”

”Being a soldier, if they were dismissed from the military status, it would be more painful than killing them.”

They were all soldiers and could empathize with each other. If it were themselves being dismissed from the role of a military doctor, it would indeed feel worse than death.

Members from other special forces teams pleaded with Lin Dong, hoping he wouldn’t dismiss the military status of the entire Qilin Special Forces.

Lin Dong spoke sternly, ”Qilin Special Forces, today I will not dismiss your military status. However, I will demote all of you to the lowest rank of private!”

”Your promotion in the future depends on your own military merit! This is your punishment for disrespecting your comrades!”

”Yes!” Everyone agreed with no objections, as long as they weren’t dismissed from the military and were allowed to continue at the War Department. Position and rank were of no concern to them.

Furthermore, there was still an opportunity for them to be promoted again if they performed meritoriously in the future!

They swore in their hearts to become real soldiers.

To become one who is strong but does not bully the weak, strong but does not mock the weak, weak but not fearing the strong, and will never betray their country, always defending and safeguarding their homeland!

At that moment, the vice team leader suddenly asked, ”War God Lin, does that bet we made still count?”

”That if we lost, you would take over from then on. Our Qilin Special Forces would completely follow your orders.”

Lin Dong laughingly said, ”Wouldn’t that be getting off easy for you?”

The members of the Qilin Special Forces felt awkward as it indeed was a lenient arrangement for them.

But now, they really wished for War God Lin to lead them.

Lin Dong directly said, ”We’ll talk about this matter later. In the future, I probably won’t have the chance to lead you.”

”As for the future, who can say for sure. But remember one thing, no matter who leads you in the future, or wherever you are, always remember your homeland behind you!”

The members of the Qilin Special Forces nodded vigorously.

”Yes!”

They only understood the last sentence.

As for the previous remarks, they did not understand.

Why did War God Lin say he wouldn’t have the chance to lead them anymore? Was he too busy, or was it for some other reason?

The reason Lin Dong said that was because after the War Department’s large comparison ended, he would immediately proceed to that life-and-death duel with King Kunlun.

He wasn’t sure about surviving that duel. Afterward, let alone leading the Qilin Special Forces, even leading the Piranha Special Operations Team would probably be out of the question.

But he didn’t explicitly state this.

”You guys go back and reflect on this further.” Lin Dong waved his hand, signaling the people from Qilin special forces to leave.

The members of the Qilin Special Forces all nodded.

They then returned to Base Number Five.

At Base Number Five, Yan Qing stood with his hands behind his back, watching as the Qilin Special Forces returned.

Seeing Yan Qing, all the members of the Qilin Special Forces again bowed their heads.

Xiao Long said, ”Instructor, today’s results: the Piranha Special Operations Team have defeated the White Elephant Special Forces. Their strength has greatly improved under the leadership of War God Lin. It’s only a matter of time before they advance from the group!”

”As for our group’s Southwest War Zone, White Shark Special Forces, with Lin Zhan’s help the number of Sect Masters has increased to forty. They’ve beaten the Black Elephant Special Forces Team. This means our shot at advancing from the group this year is slim...”

Yan Qing sighed deeply and spoke slowly, ”I’ve heard about it.”

”I even know why the White Shark Special Forces have seventeen more Sect Masters.”

”Oh? Why is that?” Xiao Long and the others hurriedly asked, still full of doubts about this issue.

Yan Qing said, ”It’s because War God Lin has recently refined a new type of Dan medicine, called the ’Broken Mirror Pill.’”

”The White Shark Special Forces gained seventeen more Sect Masters precisely because War God Lin gave them seventeen Broken Mirror Pills.”

Gasps echoed.

Hearing this, the expressions on the faces of everyone in the Qilin Special Forces changed.

Someone couldn’t help but say, ”I remember, a few days before we came to the Capital City, War God Lin had inspected us and mentioned giving us some Dan medicines. Was he thinking of giving us the Broken Mirror Pills at that time?”

With this said, everyone came to a realization.

Indeed, that had happened.

Now that they recalled, the Dan medicine that War God Lin wanted to give them was definitely the Broken Mirror Pill.

At the moment, their hearts were even more bitter.

They originally had twenty-seven Martial Arts Masters and twenty-five Martial Arts Master Peak Martial Artists. If they had accepted War God Lin’s Broken Mirror Pills back then, and elevated those twenty Martial Arts Master Peak Martial Artists to Sect Masters,

Then they would have had a total of fifty-three Sect Masters.

With fifty-three Sect Masters, they wouldn’t have lost to the Snow Wolf Special Forces.

It’s known that the Snow Wolf Special Forces had only fifty Sect Masters!

Even if they were placed in such a Death Group, they would have been able to qualify as the first place.

Their overall score would have also improved from last year.

Unfortunately, there were no ifs.

”No wonder the Southwest King said we missed a tremendous fortune!”

”If this isn’t a tremendous fortune, then what is?”

”...”

The intestines of everyone in the Qilin Special Forces were green with regret.

Yan Qing’s face also grew incredibly complex as he sighed deeply and said, ”Comparing myself with War God Lin is like comparing a firefly to the bright moon!”

”I am incomparable to him in any aspect.”

”Well, now I can finally make up my mind to leave the Dragon Country.”

As he said this, Xiao Long asked with a trembling voice, ”Qilin War God, where... where are you going?”

”To the extraterrestrial battlefield,” Yan Qing said. ”The world of iron and fire is what I yearn for. Even though I am no longer a soldier of the Dragon Country, I still aspire to make a name for myself in that place.”

”I, Yan Qing, if I am to die, want to die on the battlefield.”

Having said this, he prepared to leave.

Everyone in the Qilin Special Forces felt reluctant.

”Qilin War God, Qilin War God!”

They shouted, their eyes reddening.

Yan Qing turned his head, his eyes also slightly moist.

”Originally, I had no face to tell you this. However, this time, I must make it clear to you to avoid any hard feelings towards War God Lin!”

”My resignation has nothing to do with War God Lin! The reason I resigned is that my brother committed treason. I have no face to continue staying in the War Department!”

”That’s the real reason for my resignation. It has nothing to do with what you might be thinking!”

”War God Lin, like a bright moon, would never do such disgraceful things over a title of War God as you might think!”

”His position as War God was requested by the War Department. In fact, they pleaded!”

”Remember, it’s he who made the War Department, not the War Department that made him!”

After saying this, Yan Qing hesitated no longer.

He bellowed:

”Everyone, from now on, I, Yan Qing, am no longer your instructor. Jianghu, we shall meet again!”

With those words, he stepped into the void and left.
