Chapter 406: Chapter 406: Drinking Competition

Seeing Chu Lan huffing with anger, Lin Dong snorted coldly:

”Only trash and losers keep harping on about such things!”

”You...” Chu Lan was about to explode with rage due to Lin Dong.

But she was helpless because if it came down to fighting, she definitely couldn’t beat Lin Dong.

Now she couldn’t even outscold him.

The main thing was, he hadn’t used any vulgar words to scold her, but hearing him speak was infuriating to the extreme.

At the moment, Lin Dong couldn’t be bothered to pay her any attention.

Instead, he turned to look at Zhou Ming, Zhou Na, and the others.

”Do you guys think that being good at drinking and toasting at the liquor table is such a big deal?”

Zhou Ming and Zhou Na hadn’t spoken yet when their father, Zhou Wenqing, opened his mouth for the first time.

”Young man, I’m going to talk to you about this matter as someone who’s been there.”

”Being good at drinking is very important for someone in engineering, someone who nabs projects.”

”That’s just the way it is in our Dragon Country, where all sorts of business negotiations take place over the liquor table. If you can drink, that’s a huge natural advantage.”

”If you were to negotiate a deal like this, I imagine the deal would have fallen apart long ago.”

Hearing his lengthy lecture, Lin Dong laughed coldly in his heart.

”So, it seems you’re pretty good at drinking?”

Zhou Wenqing laughed heartily, ”I’ve been working on projects for so many years, and though I haven’t secured a thousand, I’ve easily secured several hundred by drinking, one cup at a time. What do you think, can I drink or not?”

”Okay, that’s your strong suit, huh? Today, I’ll give you a challenge!” Lin Dong declared astonishingly.

”You want to challenge me to a drinking contest?” Zhou Wenqing was somewhat amused.

Lin Dong nodded.

”Lin Dong, you think you’re worthy of competing in a drinking contest with my dad? I’m more than enough for you!” Zhou Ming stood up at this moment.

He might not be able to beat Lin Dong in a fight, but as far as drinking was concerned, he was skilled.

Because of his father, Zhou Wenqing, he had been trained in drinking from a young age.

Two jin of white liquor? He could handle it without a second thought.

Lin Dong, upon hearing Zhou Ming’s words, nodded:

”You and your dad both, come one, I’ll drink you two under the table by myself.”

”Arrogant!” Zhou Na also shouted loudly, ”Brother, teach him a lesson. Today, drink him under the table.”

This was indeed a good opportunity to get back at Lin Dong.

If they could drink him into the hospital, give him a gastric perforation, that would indeed be beautiful.

The other Zhou family members nodded one after another, feeling that Lin Dong was simply too audacious.

They all spoke up, telling Zhou Ming to teach Lin Dong a good lesson, to ensure that he would leave the Zhou family’s place lying down.

Lin Dong, looking at these members of the Zhou family, shrugged with disdain:

”Those of you speaking up can join in too!”

”Too arrogant!” Zhou Ming couldn’t resist, and went directly to grab some white liquor.

His family was quite wealthy, with a special wine cellar in the basement of the villa.

At this moment, he brought over a whole case of Wuliangye Liquor from the wine cellar.

This Wuliangye had an alcohol content of over fifty degrees, and was considered the cheapest liquor in their cellar.

Since it was a drinking contest against Lin Dong, he felt the cheaper, the better.

After bringing it up, Zhou Ming immediately opened a bottle, then poured a cup.

”This cup is for two liang, I’ll drink it in one gulp!”

Zhou Ming had drunk like this before, and now holding that cup of white liquor, he tipped it back and drank.

After finishing, his face was a bit red, but he wasn’t drunk.

He even turned the wine glass upside down, taunting Lin Dong:

”Lin Dong, it’s your turn. Remember, you must drink exactly as I do in this drinking contest!”

Seeing this, Qiao Bing was somewhat worried.

”Lin Dong, maybe we should forget it?”

Lin Dong flashed her a reassuring smile, ”Don’t worry, drinking is even easier for me than drinking water.”

Qiao Bing, recalling Lin Dong’s identity as Master Lin and his high level of martial arts strength, figured he probably wouldn’t be harmed by the alcohol.

Sensing Lin Dong’s confidence, she decided not to say anything further.

Rather, it was her older female cousin, Chu Lan, who became active once again.

She spoke with a strange Ying and Yang Qi, ”Lin Dong, if you’re scared, just admit defeat, then apologize for what happened earlier.”

”Admit the fact that you are full of hot air, admit that you’re a pretentious fake!”

”Of course, if you insist on drinking, then go ahead. If you haven’t drunk much before, or can’t hold your liquor, downing an entire cup of white liquor in one go could end in death!”

Lin Dong glanced at her indifferently and spoke in a deep voice, ”Why are you so loyal? What breed of dog are you?”

”You motherf...” Chu Lan cursed outright, angrily saying, ”Go to hell. Best case, you drink and die on the spot.”

”At that time, out of respect for this ’relative’ link, I’ll bloody burn some paper money for you!”

Lin Dong snorted, ”Keep your paper money for your owner. I’m not fortunate enough to enjoy it!”

After that, he didn’t bother with Chu Lan anymore.

Instead, he grabbed a bottle of white liquor from the table, pushed gently with his finger, and the cap of the Wuliangye was expertly cut open.

Then, to the utter shock of those gaping at him, he took the whole bottle of white liquor and drank it down in a tilt of his head.

”Gulp, gulp...”

In less than ten seconds, Lin Dong had drunk the entire bottle.

After finishing, he turned the bottle upside down.

Not a drop left!

Looking at Lin Dong again, his face hadn’t turned red in the least.

Seeing this spectacle, everyone looked at Lin Dong as if he were a monster.

”Is... Is this human?”

But at this moment, Lin Dong, without paying attention to their shock, stared at Zhou Ming and said, word by word:

”Zhou Ming, your turn. Remember, you have to drink exactly as I do!”

As soon as those words came out, Zhou Ming’s face turned as pale as if someone had painted it with a layer of cement...
