Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“Fool’s ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍Luck… has she fallen asleep again?”

I ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍was just about to say something, but at this moment, Fool’s Luck had once again “fallen asleep.”

i ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍held her in my arms.

This ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍state, for Fool’s Luck, would last for as short as a few minutes or ten-odd minutes, or as long as several hours.

Even ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍if I established a connection between myself and Fool’s Luck through the Consciousness Communication Spell, I could not pry into what Fool’s Luck had actually “encountered.”

That ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍feeling was very peculiar; it was as if I clearly should have been able to see it, yet it was separated by a membrane that could not be pierced.

“What could it be?”

I frowned, somewhat unable to understand.

Whether it was detection by the naked eye or an Earth Vein Information Appraisal, neither could touch that level, including my observations within the Primal Dream State using my domain order.

It was precisely because I could not observe Fool’s Luck’s consciousness within the Primal Dream State that I had somewhat hesitantly ruled out the possibility that Fool’s Luck was in a deep slumber.

And I conjectured it was another level, namely… True Time.

Because when I used Spirit Vision to observe Fool’s Luck, I discovered a hint of a clue, yet there were still not many leads.

However… it had been some time since I relied on the talent of Spirit Vision.

After having the Great Tree of Knowledge, the more orderly and effective Earth Vein Appraisal Spell had gradually replaced the observations of my current stage of Spirit Vision on the level of True Time.

Furthermore, after the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell underwent a special derivation and its ability to deconstruct information interfaced with Spirit Vision’s information observation, I used Spirit Vision directly even less often.

Spirit Vision had more so become a “derivative accessory” of the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell.

Because the Floating World-level tier of Spirit Vision was too high, even the current me would quickly find it unbearable if I fully accepted the information feedback from True Time at the Floating World level.

But now, after breaking away from the framework of the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell, Floating World-level Spirit Vision told me that Fool’s Luck’s consciousness might have reached an even higher level of True Time!

But how was that possible?

One must know that the levels for True Time are divided into “Foresight, Imaging, Unknown, Madness Threshold, Floating World, and True World.”

Spirit Vision represented the visual perception channel among the five senses, and there was only one level higher than the Floating World level!

I looked at Fool’s Luck with complex emotions.

The other three Fool’s Dreams also watched with curious faces; in their eyes, Fool’s Luck appeared as if she had just fallen asleep.

And what made it even harder for me to believe was actually that during the period Fool’s Luck was in “slumber,” her soul essence was quietly undergoing transformations.

They were very subtle, yet they could not escape my observation.

I could not understand how this was accomplished, just as an ordinary person does not know how a spell is cast.

And it was through this “change,” via Spirit Vision, that I locked onto the possibility that Fool’s Luck’s consciousness was immersed within True Time.

“I’ve decided. I intend to no longer suppress my Floating World-level Spirit Vision, but instead accept it as a part of my cognition.”

After hesitating for a long time, I finally made this decision!

The so-called methods of relying on the Earth Vein Chains to interface with Spirit Vision and so on were all helpless compromises.

Any single analysis and organization of information was a distortion of the information itself, and its meaning would also be lost; the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell was no exception.

Only Spirit Vision—this most intuitive perception channel that directly reached the soul essence of consciousness and cognition—could reduce the distortion of information to the minimum.

Therefore, adaptation was the best way to master a portion of power.

“Mhm then Big Sis Xiao Han, we’ll cheer you on together.”

Hearing me say this, Fool’s Blue immediately cheered for me, and the other two Fool’s Dreams did the same.

They did not know what it meant for me to make this decision; they only knew that once I made this decision, I would definitely execute it until I succeeded!

Of course, my choice to do this was naturally not a decision made on a whim.

The torture Spirit Vision inflicted on me—I had experienced it since birth!

Right now, as my life tier expanded, my cognition of many things was also improving.

My self-consciousness had the enhancement of the Great Tree of Knowledge, and furthermore, my consciousness itself had many clones to share the burden; the cognitive feedback from those normal clones was the best means for anchoring “normal cognition.”

Even if Spirit Vision had a strong and continuous impact on me, I had sufficient clones to act as consumable burden-sharers.

And furthermore, I was about to test an experiment.

An experiment based on Soul Depiction, a technique to rapidly elevate my own soul tier.

One must know that the students in the academy were basically soul-substance lives; they could complete the elevation of their own life tier through soul-substance using special techniques.

But such means were useless for my soul essence.

This was the difference in life essence.

Therefore, I had to elevate my soul tier through another method.

Regarding this kind of matter, I had naturally consulted Big Sis Bai.

I asked Big Sis Bai if there was such a way to elevate the soul tier, since witches became soul lives after advancing to Transcendent, yet they couldn’t stay at this level forever without moving forward.

But… the answer I received was somewhat beyond my expectations.

Methods to elevate the soul tier naturally existed, but the results were slow and they were also very rare; those with quick results required very special soul materials.

However, no matter how slow it was, over a time span of several dozen or a hundred years, the effect was actually quite good.

But… I couldn’t afford to wait.

So those methods were basically all ignored by me.

I intended to continue using my own method.

This method would be even more compatible with me.

Using large amounts of Soul Crystals to sublimate and fill my soul essence via Soul Depiction.

I had witnessed a complete soul at the Transcendent level, so I understood how to go about filling it.

Once the soul tier was raised, my adaptability toward Spirit Vision would also improve; at least my cognition would constantly broaden, and my endurance when facing the impact of Spirit Vision would also increase.

Incidental to this, I wasn’t far from advancing to Transcendent either.

Perhaps my need to adapt to Spirit Vision at this stage was an opportunity; one always has to suffer a bit on the road of life to make up for the unease of a smooth journey.

Just as I made this decision, my clone had currently arrived downstairs at Academy Head Mei’s office.

I sent a message to the Academy Head in advance, and subsequently went to find her.

Academy Head’s office.

“Mhm thank you very much for being willing to come to our Main World’s Witch Academy.”

“It’s nothing. We only heard that this place was loudly recruiting 6th sense Body Cultivation witches. You understand too, Academy Head, that the Body Cultivation power system... is not common among the witch group.”

“Yes, so we were very hopeful that this academy would be one willing to promote Body Cultivation power.”

At this moment, another witch followed up.

“Although we are newcomers, I have still looked into the Main World’s Witch Academy. This academy has not pointedly promoted Body Cultivation in its past records, and even the teaching configuration for Body Cultivation power belongs to conventional proportions. Though not long ago, a Body Cultivator was specially recruited?”

“I understand everyone’s concerns well.”

Mei Linde also smiled as she looked at the three witches before her, whose physiques were more robust than average witches.

“However, due to some special reasons, our academy has a large demand for Body Cultivation witches, and preferably witches who have awakened the 6th sense……”

Mei Linde was distracted for an instant while saying these words, because she received a message from a “Special Follow” within the Seed of Great Knowledge.

“Because we are going to conduct a very special experiment, the requirements for the experimenters themselves are extremely high. Preferably Self-awakened Body Cultivators; if not, they must at least be witches who have awakened the 6th sense.”

And the three witches before her were all 6th sense Body Cultivation witches.

As for Self-awakened Body Cultivators… among these three witches, two were Self-awakened Body Cultivators.

After all, for witches, the attraction of Body Cultivation power was far lower than that of spells.

If it wasn’t for “special talent” providing a livelihood, no one would proactively take this path.

And Mei Linde had not thought that recruiting witches with such conditions would be so difficult.

Until now, she had only found these three, and these three hadn’t even actively come to her door; she had contacted them through a special screening process.

After all… even if the Main World’s Witch Academy released a recruitment for witches, not all witches would see it.

Perhaps witches who met the conditions would be many in the vast base number, but those who saw it and were willing to come were few.

But… if it was only three, it should be enough, Mei Linde thought to herself.

After all, there was only one Little Han responsible for guidance.

If there were too many, she wouldn’t be able to handle it.

And she hadn’t had time to discuss this matter with Little Han in detail yet; she had only mentioned it a few times, and Little Han hadn’t refused.

What surprised her was that, coincidentally at this time, Little Han actually sought her out.

It seemed it saved her the trouble of looking for her specifically.

“Perhaps you can just say directly what you want us to do here. I feel you aren’t having us act as mentors in the academy to teach those students. Those students, in my view, are still too weak physically; their physical strength is entirely supported by the undying nature of their life essence.”

“Yes. Since you are mentioning the 6th sense to us, Academy Head, then you also understand that speaking in a roundabout way with me has no meaning.”

“True. Apologies, I’ve become a bit too used to being an Academy Head. A direct way of speaking is indeed a bit unaccustomed.”

Mei Linde gave a bitter laugh and stopped being polite.

“Our academy has seen a leap-like breakthrough in the field of the Primal Dream State, and… there are witches who have mastered means to observe and interfere with the Primal Dream State. It should be noted that it is direct observation and interference, and in the deep layers of the Primal Dream State at that, rather than a small-scale social venue like the Primal Dream State.”

“The Primal Dream State… is a field I haven’t come into contact with. What about you?”

After listening to Mei Linde’s claim, one of the witches looked toward the other two with some difficulty.

“No. I heard the Primal Dream State is a derivative field exploration project of the Great Project of the Soul? That’s about all I know.”

“I’ve never even heard of it.”

“Phew… it’s fine. The witch race as a whole is similarly just starting out in the field of the Primal Dream State, so don’t worry.”

Although Mei Linde had predicted this, she still felt it was a bit of a pity.

At least Bai Yu, as a Body Cultivation witch, walked on the Ordinary Project, which belonged to a branch of the Great Project of the Soul.

These three, at most, were at the degree of being sublimated into souls by the Great Project of the Soul.

This was only counted as borrowing the power or a certain technique of a field’s Great Project, rather than truly embarking upon that project.

Not long after Mei Linde finished speaking, a petite figure appeared at the office door.

Little Han had finally come, Mei Linde thought, subsequently raising a smile and beckoning.

“Little Han, you’ve come at just the right time. Come in.”

“Hmm?”

I let out a light sound of surprise, then saw the three witches besides Academy Head Mei.

They turned sideways in unison to look toward me, and only then revealed slightly surprised looks.

In just an instant, I felt their terrifying auras, as well as the feedback regarding Body Cultivation power.

Furthermore, I even felt a hint of Heart Sense resonance from them!

That was a special sensation that only occurs between two individuals who both possess the 6th sense, Heart Sense!

But unfortunately, I was currently in the form of a clone.

“Come in, it’s fine. Let me introduce you.”

Mei Linde stood up and stepped forward.

While I watched these three witches with curiosity, these three witches were similarly watching me with curiosity.

With just one look, they could tell that I seemed… to not be a living being?

To put it bluntly, it was similar to a double, a clone, a puppet, or something like that.

Moreover, they also felt the weak resonance from Heart Sense, but this one before their eyes… her physical strength could only be described as weak.

“Little Han, they are the ones I mentioned to you before—that the academy would focus on recruiting Body Cultivation witches next. These three are them. You should be able to tell, right?”

“Uh… I can tell.”

I moved my gaze from the Academy Head to them.

This physique, more robust than an ordinary witch… it was hard not to tell.

But perhaps out of the witches’ pursuit of their own image, they leaned more toward being lean and strong, rather than the type with extremely exaggerated muscles.

Compared to ordinary witches, two of these three witches showed clear characteristics of other races.

But… having put on a set of tighter clothes, they outwardly appeared to just be larger in build.

“Hello, three witch sisters…”

Out of politeness, I spoke according to custom.

“You have the 6th sense?”

Surprisingly, the witch in the middle asked a question directly.

“Mhm, yes. But this is my clone; my main body isn’t here.”

I nodded in response.

“No wonder. This is truly a strange clone.”

She gave an evaluation of it.

After all, this was indeed a form of clone she hadn’t seen before, more similar to… a puppet?

“Let me introduce myself. I am Long. It’s a pleasure to meet another Body Cultivation witch here, sister.”

“Ha… haha. You can just call me Little Han. My full name is Yang Yuehan.”

I was slightly embarrassed at this moment, but still quickly spoke in response.

After all, this was the first time I had been addressed as a sister by a Transcendent Witch; it felt like she treated me as a Transcendent Witch.

“That works. I’ll call you Little Han.”

“I am Muli. I hope I can see your true body next time we meet.”

At this time, another witch also raised a slight smile and spoke with a hint of expectation in her tone.

“I am Fannie. I hope we can communicate more in the future; I also want to see what level a Body Cultivation witch of the Main World is at.”

“Alright, it seems there’s no need for me to introduce you on your behalf.”

The Academy Head sighed on the side.

“Shall we return to the main topic? How about it?”

“Mhm, yes. So Little Han, you wait for a bit first. We just arrived at the Witch Academy, and the Academy Head is still telling us some things we need to know.”

Long also spoke up frankly with a nod.

“Little Han doesn’t need to wait. What I’m about to talk about next is related to you a lot, as well as Little Han.”

Mei Linde spoke.

“Oh? What a coincidence?”

The three Body Cultivation witches were clearly surprised, subsequently looking at me in unison, as if curious what connection they actually had with this person.

“Yes, what I said just now—that our Witch Academy has had a breakthrough leap in the field of the Primal Dream State—refers to this one here.”
