Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“Mhm... ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍that’s right, the small-scale promotion experiment for Self-generating Magic Power conducted by your experimental team has indeed entered its final stages. From the current perspective, the technique is also nearly reaching its mature stage.”

Academy Head Mei also nodded and chatted quite casually with me about some recent matters in the academy.

“It seems Yi Rui and the others are quite efficient.”

I said with some sentiment.

“Are you sure you don’t want to go take a look at them? After they learned that you met with disaster, they were quite anxious for a while.”

“Um... then I should still find time to go see them. No matter what, I should first tell them the news that I am still alive and well.”

I also nodded and agreed with this practice.

Now that my Great Tree of Knowledge had restored information communication, I naturally received a lot of messages.

Especially Millian; she could be described as nearly going crazy with busyness over this matter, and even sought out Big Sis Bai several times.

I truly needed to report my safety to her.

Sure enough, once there were many relationships, I couldn’t just think about myself for many things; I also needed to take the feelings of others into account.

However, this was an unavoidable matter.

For instance, people like Millian and the others—they helped me solve too many problems and also created a very harmonious atmosphere for me in the Witch Academy.

They were very useful to me; caring about my safety was naturally very necessary.

But... I didn’t know if it was because I had already accepted my burden of carrying the destiny of the Fool’s Dream race, but I seemed to have become less repulsed by others holding great expectations for me.

There was a feeling of facing all of this with a very ordinary mindset.

The process of going from the Expansion Realm to the Academy Head’s office in the Core Realm’s Witch Academy was not very far, so the topics I chatted about with the Academy Head and the others were not very numerous either.

However, after arriving at the office here, I also knew that the main event was about to begin.

“Little Han, what was the harvest during this trip in the Primal Dream State? After all, you caused a massive commotion again.”

“Um... I did report it in advance...”

I spoke in a low voice, while simultaneously feeling very fortunate that I had reported it in advance.

Although... for this kind of matter, reporting it or not really didn’t make much difference...

However, even though my voice was very small, Academy Head Mei Linde could still hear what I was saying.

Even one of the witches working nearby couldn’t help but let out a “pfft” sound of laughter.

Only Mei Linde had a few black lines on her forehead, but she was the Academy Head, after all.

“Since you say you reported it, then tell me what the content of your report was, and then... what did you actually do?”

“Uh... reported... conducting dream life project experiments?”

“Then what did you do?”

Mei Linde asked.

“Um... experimented with the normal content of the dream life project...”

“Pfft... Hahahaha!”

The few witches on the side who heard the conversation between me and Academy Head Mei finally couldn’t help but laugh out loud, showing no fear whatsoever toward the status of the Academy Head.

“What’s so funny! Have you all made progress? You’re just sitting here watching for fun?”

Academy Head Mei spoke.

“Can’t we have a short break after being busy and tired for so long? Mm-hmm Would you like a cup of black tea? Our Great Academy Head Mei?”

“……Give me a cup, brewed by your own hand.”

Mei Linde hesitated for a while but still compromised.

After such a ruckus, the current atmosphere also suddenly relaxed a lot.

Actually, Mei Linde didn’t truly intend to blame Little Han.

Witches causing massive commotions was their nature, and besides, isn’t this matter currently “settled”?

For things of the past, there was naturally no need to settle accounts too much after the fact, especially not with Little Han.

But some things couldn’t be glossed over so easily.

“Here your black tea.”

“Thank you.”

Mei Linde took the black tea and subsequently took a light sip.

Actually, Mei Linde didn’t have much experience in evaluating black tea, but... after drinking a lot of it, she could naturally distinguish the good from the bad.

“Let’s return to proper business.”

Mei Linde spoke, her tone no longer as tough as before.

“Regarding the matter of the experiment this time, I can naturally treat it as an experimental accident and let it pass. After all, the incident has already occurred; what matters is that so many Transcendents were screwed over.”

Seeing that Academy Head Mei didn’t intend to harp on this matter, I also breathed a slight sigh of relief, and my expression relaxed a lot.

“But don’t be happy too soon. I won’t pursue that matter, but there is another matter I must ask you about properly. Little Han... you know what matter it is, don’t you?”

“Uh... what matter is it?”

“Still playing dumb with me?”

Mei Linde seemed to be laughed into anger by me, and then spoke to remind me: “Little Han, how many Grand Spellbooks do you have left now?”

“Uh...”

Seeing the Academy Head bring the topic into the open, I naturally had no need to be timid.

“One left.”

“Then what about the one I gave you?”

Mei Linde set down the teacup in her hand and asked while propping up her cheek with one hand.

And she used the word “gave,” rather than “invested.”

Actually, Mei Linde didn’t want to make this matter unpleasant either, but when it concerned a Grand Spellbook, she still needed to have a formal explanation.

Just like the Great Snow Throne Spell back then; it completed its mission, and it didn’t matter even if the final plan failed...

But Little Han... Little Han was different.

If Little Han really just dismantled it for fun... she... she really wanted to give Little Han a spanking!

After thinking for a long time, Mei Linde still only thought of this form of punishment.

After all... she truly couldn’t bear to punish Little Han; compared to Little Han, it was merely a Grand Spellbook.

The important thing was never the Grand Spellbook, but Little Han.

“Um... dis... mantled, deconstructed!”

“Tell me the reason.”

Mei Linde sighed.

She hadn’t expected that after she finally asked about this matter, her emotions were not as angry as she had anticipated.

“Because I felt that for the [Transcendent Knowledge] constituting the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell, perhaps... becoming a Grand Spellbook was not its ultimate destination.”

“Hmm?”

Mei Linde let out a sound of light surprise.

She had never thought Little Han would give such a response.

“Quite the big talker, aren’t you? Just saying whatever comes to mind? Although I don’t want to discourage you, the meaning of your words is that you are questioning the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell?”

“……Yes.”

I slowly closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and slowly exhaled, only then giving such a firm response!

If my thoughts couldn’t even pass the hurdle of the Academy Head, then how could I be qualified to bear the destiny of the Fool’s Dream race!

“I remember you once asked me about the issue of the name of the Grand Spellbook, the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell. I also told you that this name is the description that fits it best. I have also given you all the research materials regarding the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell. If you had read those, you shouldn’t have produced such a thought.”

At this moment, Academy Head Mei Linde’s tone also became serious.

After all, this was a debate within a professional field!

As the Academy Head, she was certainly qualified to talk about this matter!

“I have read them and understood them.”

Although... I used the Great Tree of Knowledge to dismantle and perceive those materials, and didn’t deeply analyze the theories within them, I understood the Academy Head’s train of thought for creating the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell very well.

“Then you should have even less reason to dismantle it. Or did you produce a better inspiration? Speak up; since you denied its name as the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell, then what name have you given to your new inspiration?”

“A name?”

Being told this by the Academy Head, I also froze.

A name was a definition given to the thing one intended to do, as well as a summary of the framework; furthermore, one could see a person’s control over the rhythm through it.

But... I rarely did so.

“No name. If I must give a definition... then it is the Fool’s Dream race itself.”

“You gave this power to the Fool’s Dreams?”

Mei Linde frowned for the first time.

“Does this have any meaning for you?”

“Researching the low-threshold promotion techniques for Self-generating Magic Power similarly had no meaning for me.”

“These are clearly two different concepts!”

Mei Linde spoke.

She knew very well the meaning of that technique for Self-generating Magic Power to the witch race.

But what about the Fool’s Dreams?

Furthermore, a portion of [Transcendent Knowledge] was lost for it!

One must know that she had only asked Little Han to try and turn the Fool’s Dreams into lives back then, but this was not to let her lose everything for it!

What she wanted were just two Primal Spell Sequences, but they didn’t necessarily have to be from the Fool’s Dreams!

She could even do without that reward!

In her view, Little Han was simply putting the cart before the horse.

At least at this stage, the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell and its various derivative abilities seemed very useful to her; why be in such a hurry to dismantle it?

“Little Han, do you know? I am very angry right now!”

Although Mei Linde said this with her mouth, it was more of a type of disagreement with Little Han’s behavior.

“Big Sis Mei... don’t be angry, cool down first? You should know that I never do stupid things.”

Seeing the Academy Head in such a state, I also understood that my attitude just now was too tough, and my reasons had not persuaded the other party, which was what led to the change in Academy Head Mei’s attitude.

“I researched many things within the Primal Dream State, and one of the most important items among them was the Dream Domain constructed upon my Self-awakened Body Cultivation and the [Transcendent Knowledge] of the two Grand Spellbooks.”

“And then?”

Seeing me change the topic, Academy Head Mei was also dazed.

But after hearing me mention the Dream Domain, she also became patient.

Because based on this one means alone, even as the Academy Head, she had to respect Little Han’s strength within the Primal Dream State.

Very quickly, she recalled what the witch named Aina told her regarding the “principles” of the “Dream Domain” Little Han self-created.

It had to be said... based on that description, even she as the Academy Head couldn’t do such a thing.

“Then there was naturally the understanding of [Transcendent Knowledge]. But it wasn’t just that; in Fool’s Village, the [Transcendent Knowledge] of the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell was called the Sacred Object by the Fool’s Dreams. Many things happened there, so I won’t go into too much detail.”

“So what are you trying to express?”

Academy Head Mei asked.

“What I want to express…… what I want to express is naturally that I have not failed the value of this [Transcendent Knowledge]. I know Big Sis Mei is thinking of me, but... I also have my own thoughts, and the right to express my own ideas. Big Sis Mei, you said this Grand Spellbook you made is called the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell, so... do you know what the definition of wisdom is?”

Without waiting for Academy Head Mei to speak, I took the lead and waved my hand to expand a spell light screen.

And it was densely covered with documentary materials!

“This is what I extracted from that portion of materials you gave me, Big Sis Mei—the simplest portion, describing the definition of wisdom from a Transcendent level.”

“So what?”

Academy Head Mei, seeing this posture of mine, seemed to gradually become less urgent than before.

There was even some faint expectation.

“This is not a definition; how could any definition be such a long-winded account? This is merely a composite concept described from various angles and one’s own cognition.”

“And?”

“And so... there has never been any concept that can define wisdom directly, but combinations of other concepts can describe one aspect of it. Just like my Wisdom Bestowal technique; within that technique, my definition for wisdom is consciousness and memory, which is a summary for life.”

“And my definition for the [Transcendent Knowledge] of the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell... is the symbiosis of life and knowledge.”

“Life refers to the Fool’s Dream race; knowledge is my Great Tree of Knowledge.”

“I want to give the Fool’s Dreams the best…… and this is similarly my own way of interpreting the meaning of ’Wisdom’s Enlightenment’ from another angle.”

“I never said the name of the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell was wrong. It is very right, right to the point where no concept can define it. Its concept is too large, so large that after it became a Grand Spellbook, it was jokingly called the most useless Grand Spellbook…”

“And now, I have found the best destination for it.”

When my words were finished, it wasn’t just Mei Linde who fell into silence; the other several witches were the same.

They were shocked by the jumping thoughts of the little witch before them.

Although the other party spoke very shockingly, there was a streak of wishful-thinking-like self-conceit.

Once, they were also witches with bold thoughts, until... they experienced the bitterness of researching Grand Spellbooks; only then did they see clearly the absurdity of those thoughts.

Gradually, they lost... no, they proactively discarded those innocent fantasies and stepped onto the path of research step-by-step.

Now hearing such a line of thought again, they instinctively wanted to evade, to deny, to correct.

But... the little witch before them, she was even more of a miracle!

Hand-crafting a Grand Spellbook (incomplete version), shaping a domain (prototype) before even being Transcendent.

In these short one or two years, she had created many miracles and achieved many impossibilities.

Were they truly qualified to judge?

“Sigh...”

Mei Linde was silent for a long time, then gave a sigh.

“Then... Little Han, what about yourself? Or do you plan to cultivate the Fool’s Dream race into your sharpest blade?”

“No... when they become life, I shall give them the freedom life should enjoy.”

After these words of mine were spoken, there was another silence.

“Returning freedom to them. Little Han... I’m starting to not understand you. Can you tell me why you act this way?”

“Um... because I am the Sage who bears the destiny of the Fool’s Dream race and is loved by all Fool’s Dreams.”
