Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1624: Chapter 956: Setting the Trap

The Bone Covenant signing process was very straightforward, although several additional restriction clauses were added to finalize it completely.

Once the three had signed the Bone Covenant, the atmosphere in the room eased significantly.

Wang Zhiyuan couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief and burst into hearty laughter.

“General Hou, having you join us is truly fortunate.”

“With the three of us joining forces, dealing with Lu Yuanshan and Jiang Wenbin will be a piece of cake.”

“Oh? Does General Wang have a good plan?” Hou Jianjun inquired.

Wang Zhiyuan’s lips curled into a smile as he said, “I have a brilliant idea.”

“All we need is for General Hong to convene all of us on Celestial Dog Island again, claiming that the Kerry Technology in the south has already been taken over by you, General Hou. Now, we need to launch the second war, having Kerry Technology cooperate from the south to take down the Divine Country in one fell swoop.”

“Taking advantage of the meeting, we trick Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan’s people onto Celestial Dog Island.”

“Then we can set up the Sealing Array on Celestial Dog Island. This way, with the three of us joining forces, we can definitely capture both Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan. What do you think?”

Hong Tianyi and Hou Jianjun exchanged glances, revealing smiles.

This plan was quite similar to the one they had previously devised.

Originally, they intended to proceed with this plan after taking down Wang Zhiyuan.

Unexpectedly, Wang Zhiyuan proposed this plan himself.

That saved them from having to speak up.

Hou Jianjun nodded slightly and said, “I think this plan is great.”

Hong Tianyi immediately made the decision, “Alright, let’s proceed with this plan. Now, let’s part ways and remember to hide our traces to avoid detection.”

“When the time comes, I will announce the meeting on Celestial Dog Island. You must put on a good act to make Lu Yuanshan and Jiang Wenbin believe it’s just a normal meeting.”

“Haha, rest assured, they definitely won’t see through the ruse,” Wang Zhiyuan exclaimed excitedly, patting his chest.

Then everyone discussed the details and dispersed.

After Wang Zhiyuan left, Hong Tianyi returned to meet with Hou Jianjun again.

At this moment, Hou Jianjun and Liang Yuan, along with others, were already discussing matters in the conference room.

Hong Tianyi walked in and said, “Mr. Liang, why not just bring Wang Zhiyuan under our command? Although he has joined us now and signed the Bone Covenant, he’s reckless and might drop the ball at a critical moment.”

Liang Yuan smiled and said, “Anyone who can become a leader will not be so incompetent. Do you think his previous performance was recklessness?”

“What do you mean?” Hong Tianyi’s expression changed slightly, seeming to have some guess.

Liang Yuan said, “He might have intentionally acted rashly earlier, actually trying to gain more initiative and test your reaction.”

“Moreover, maybe he didn’t really want General Hou to join your alliance.”

Hong Tianyi was stunned; he could understand Wang Zhiyuan trying to gain more control and test his reaction.

But disrupting Hou Jianjun’s joining the alliance was beyond his comprehension.

“Mr. Liang, how would that benefit him?”

“Isn’t the stronger our alliance, the better?”

Liang Yuan laughed, “What benefit is there for Wang Zhiyuan if General Hou joins the alliance? It would only dilute his power further.”

“But if General Hou hadn’t joined you earlier, Wang Zhiyuan would have certainly incited you to act together and capture General Hou.”

“Then you would have to rely solely on him, and his importance would be irreplaceable.”

Upon hearing this, Hong Tianyi and Hou Jianjun suddenly realized.

Hou Jianjun couldn’t help but lament, “Wang Zhiyuan is indeed cunning. I didn’t expect him to have such intentions.”

Hong Tianyi also sighed, “We underestimated him. Reaching his current position wasn’t by chance; his strength and strategy are indeed on par with ours.”

Hou Jianjun laughed, “Unfortunately, he ultimately fell into the trap we set for him, thanks to Mr. Liang’s superior strategy.”

Hong Tianyi also laughed, “Indeed, Mr. Liang is truly remarkable.”

The two complimented Liang Yuan, seemingly in harmony.

Liang Yuan, finding it both amusing and exasperating, said, “Alright, alright, spare me the flattery. Let’s discuss the actions for tomorrow instead.”

“General Hong, how is the Sealing Array arrangement on Celestial Dog Island going?”

Hong Tianyi promptly replied, “On my way back today, I already had people start the arrangement. By now, it should be completed.”

Liang Yuan nodded slightly and said, “Then use the cover of night to begin transferring people.”

“General Hou, keep your people in place for now. Wait until tomorrow morning, and then proceed to Celestial Dog Island with Lu Yuanshan, Jiang Wenbin, and others. Maintain the usual level of vigilance to avoid arousing suspicion.”

Hou Jianjun nodded slightly, “Understood.”

“I will lead my team to Celestial Dog Island first.”

Hong Tianyi nodded, “I will make the arrangements.”

Then everyone discussed the battle details.

Hong Tianyi said, “Mr. Liang, when the time comes, you don’t need to take action. Just offer assistance where support is needed.”

“Wang Zhiyuan and I will handle Jiang Wenbin.”

“General Hou, you and James will handle Lu Yuanshan, alright?”

Hou Jianjun, James, and Wang Ling’Er all nodded.

“We have no objections.”

“General Hong, can we get the files on those two?” Wang Ling’Er asked.

Hong Tianyi nodded, “Of course, I’ve already prepared the files.”

As he spoke, he handed over the pre-prepared files to Wang Ling’Er and the others.

He also began introducing the contents of the files.

“The files primarily document the superpower abilities of Lu Yuanshan and Jiang Wenbin.”

“Lu Yuanshan has a Fire Attribute Superpower, with a gene recombination progress of 76%. His temper matches his Fire Attribute.”

“Jiang Wenbin, on the other hand, has a Water Attribute Superpower, with a gene recombination progress of 80%.”

“Between the two, Jiang Wenbin is mainly the leader. Individually, neither poses a significant threat, but they excel in team battles.”

“Their superpowers complement each other, capable of achieving a synergy where the sum is greater than the parts.”

“Also included are some files on their subordinates, everyone take a look.”

Everyone quickly went through the files, gaining a rough understanding of the enemy’s situation.

Hou Jianjun said, “In fact, there’s no need to worry too much. If we activate the Sealing Array then, these people likely won’t have the chance to use their superpowers.”

James said, “True, it will likely come down to physical combat in their gene recombination forms.”

Wang Ling’Er said, “That simplifies things quite a lot.”

A group of people conferred for a while, and as night fell, Liang Yuan, along with James, Wang Ling’Er, and several others, boarded a ship under the cover of darkness, heading towards Celestial Dog Island.
