Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1605: Chapter 937: The “God” of the Divine Country

Liang Yuan learned a lot about the Jingzhou military from Dr. Yin and Li Hu.

After understanding this much, he gradually figured out the general situation of the Jingzhou military.

The Jingzhou military is also divided into many factions internally.

The main reason all these factions can come together is because of this ‘Cosmic Spaceship’ project.

No single military faction can complete such a massive plan alone.

It involves too much resource consumption and technical challenges.

No single faction can afford the risks involved in researching it alone.

Therefore, the entire military factions have to collaborate on the research.

Yet, even together, issues such as resources and talent still trouble them.

So they began to expand outward, gathering other forces.

This is also one of the main reasons for the conflict between the Jingzhou military and the Divine Country.

“Are there any other reasons?” Liang Yuan asked.

Li Hu nodded, saying, “Yes, the people of the Divine Country are also expanding, quietly preaching within the Jingzhou area, luring away many people.”

“In these end times, the population is already scarce, the military will not allow other forces to steal population resources within their territory.”

“This is also one of the main reasons for the war between the two sides.”

Liang Yuan touched his chin and suddenly asked, “Why is the Jingzhou military so eager to study the cosmic spaceship?”

“Logically, with Floating Islands and Floating Islands around, even if Jingzhou has ten thousand people, there shouldn’t be any congestion, right?”

“Land resources shouldn’t be that tight, right?”

This was what Liang Yuan was curious about.

To know that the scale of Yangshan has now expanded to this point, it hasn’t immediately considered researching cosmic spaceships to leave Blue Star.

Seeing that the Jingzhou military can even set aside faction disputes to collaborate on researching the cosmic spaceship, Liang Yuan felt something was off.

There must be something he didn’t know about it.

If there weren’t any huge benefits or other reasons, how could the different faction forces of the military be willing to set everything aside and start collaborating?

Hearing this, Li Hu scratched his head and said, “I don’t know the exact reason, but it’s indeed like you said, the cosmic spaceship plan wasn’t implemented until half a year ago.”

“At that time, the Jingzhou military still operated separately, major factions were not convinced by each other, and even fought internally a few times.”

“This is also the reason why forces like the Divine Country could develop initially.”

“If the Jingzhou military had been united from the beginning, there wouldn’t be these forces like the Divine Country now.”

Liang Yuan frowned, a question emerged in his mind, what was the reason that prompted the major factions of the military to set aside interest disputes and study the cosmic spaceship together?

At this moment, Dr. Yin suddenly spoke: “I have heard some things, though I don’t know if they are true.”

Liang Yuan looked at him and immediately asked, “What things?”

Dr. Yin said, “I have some friends in the military’s research team, and I heard them talk about it, half a year ago, Jingzhou military discovered many ancient relics, and some even unearthed the body of an ancient legendary Immortal.”

“The matter caused a great uproar at the time, and later, the military’s rune technology developed rapidly like an explosion.”

“Many ingenious ideas suddenly emerged, making me suspect they might have discovered some secret from the ancient ruins.”

“Thinking back on it now, not only has technology developed, but political decisions of major factions within the military also seem to have changed since half a year ago.”

“Of course, I haven’t seen the so-called ancient Immortal’s body or any ancient relic, as the military protects those very well.”

“But thinking back now, it shouldn’t be baseless.”

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan instantly understood.

Perhaps this incident might really be related to the Ancient Superpower Users.

On his side, there are Jin Peng, Di Quanke, Ling Yurong, and Yin Yu, four superpower users surviving from ancient times.

There’s no reason why other places wouldn’t have superpower users surviving from ancient times.

Did the Jingzhou military learn some secrets from these ancient superpower users?

Liang Yuan’s eyes flickered, it seems he needs to go back and ask Jin Peng and Yin Yu.

Li Hu and Dr. Yin at present have levels that are still too low, some of the military’s top secrets are unknown to them.

But then again, if they were really key figures in the military, they wouldn’t be sent here to perform such dangerous tasks.

Liang Yuan no longer dwelled on these secrets, but instead asked: “What is the situation with the Divine Country? How do they preach?”

Li Hu replied: “Master, people of the Divine Country have a rather unique way of preaching, they don’t believe in any other gods, just their god—the Six-winged Angel Shangdi!”

“The Six-winged Angel Shangdi?” Liang Yuan’s eyes narrowed.

Li Hu said: “Yes, the leader of the Divine Country is this Shangdi, he calls himself ‘God’, with absolute control within the Divine Country, all the shelter residents in the Divine Country worship him as the one true god.”

“This person’s genetic form is the ‘Six-winged Angel’, because of this, his image is viewed as a divine being within the Divine Country.”

“His shelter residents all call themselves the children of God, and God will lead them out of adversity and overcome floods and disasters.”

“These people have a high level of devotion to him, we once sent people to try to subvert part of them, but these people not only were not subverted, the people we sent also became followers of Shangdi.”

hearing this, Liang Yuan frowned slightly and asked: “Did this Divine Country use brainwashing tactics or superpowers?”

Li Hu shook his head: “No, no superpower means were used, we’ve captured many followers of the Divine Country and studied them.”

“These people truly believe in their hearts that Shangdi is ‘God’, an omnipotent god.”

Liang Yuan was a bit puzzled: “How did this Shangdi do it?”

Li Hu shook his head: “We don’t know either; the military has been investigating for a long time, only to find that many bizarre things happened to Shangdi.”

“For example, someone who is critically ill, even on the brink of death, can be saved if Shangdi takes action.”

“Even someone with missing limbs, if they plead before Shangdi, he can regrow their missing limb.”

Liang Yuan frowned: “Could it be through some kind of regenerative potion?”

Li Hu said: “We suspected as much but have no evidence.”

“Anyway, many miraculous events have occurred with him, and it is precisely because of these incredible feats that people in the Divine Country believe he is a god.”

Liang Yuan couldn’t help but ask: “Is he really powerful? Has his gene recombination progress reached very high levels?”

Li Hu nodded: “Very strong, his gene recombination progress is definitely over 85%, if it weren’t for Hong Tianyi, we wouldn’t have been able to contend against him.”

Liang Yuan asked: “What is his superpower?”

Just hearing the genetic form of a Six-winged Angel, Liang Yuan still couldn’t guess this person’s specific superpower.

Li Hu hesitated a bit and said: “To be honest, we still don’t know what his superpower is.”

“During confrontations between the military and Shangdi, he used wind, fire, lightning, metals, woods, water, earth—all kinds of different elemental powers.”

“So even when he was later defeated by Hong Tianyi, we still don’t understand what kind of superpower he truly possesses.”

Just as Li Hu finished speaking, James, standing nearby, said incredulously: “Can use all types of elemental powers?”

Liang Yuan looked at James and asked: “Didn’t you fight against people from the Divine Country? Didn’t you know he can wield various elemental abilities?”

James hurriedly replied: “I fought him before, but back then Shangdi only demonstrated strong Spiritual Power, along with strange Speed and Power.”

“He didn’t show any other elemental abilities, plus the abilities he did show were all countered by my superpowers.”

“Later, after we both entered gene recombination, he fought me one more time, and that time I lost to him.”

“But at that time, he used a long-range Spiritual Attack to forcibly tear through my Silent Energy Field, breaking my Silent Superpower.”

“However, that was all he managed to do; he didn’t dare come close to me.”

“After that encounter, we both stepped back and haven’t fought since then, developing separately on our own.”

hearing this, Liang Yuan couldn’t help but frown and glance at both Li Hu and James.

If neither was lying, doesn’t that mean that after drawing with James, Shangdi’s strength rapidly increased, and he also mastered various elemental abilities?

How did he achieve that?

Could it be that he truly possesses a Replication Superpower like Jin Shirong?

Or is it like himself, possessing the Hundred-Change Gene?

Whatever the situation, it’s clear this ‘god’ of the Divine Country truly has formidable powers.

But then Liang Yuan thought, even though Shangdi is so powerful, he can still be defeated by Hong Tianyi from the military.

So isn’t Hong Tianyi even more formidable?

“Heroes emerge in troubled times; in these flood-ridden end times, so many experts have appeared.”

“Yet no matter how powerful they are, they could never be a match for me.”

“Currently, my gene recombination progress has reached 98%, just shy of reaching Genetic Reorganization Perfection.”

“There will be no one more powerful than me on all of the Blue Star.”

Liang Yuan smiled slightly, and his thoughts shifted back to the military’s cosmic spaceship project.

What exactly has the Jingzhou military learned that made them focus all their efforts on developing a cosmic spaceship?
