Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1622: Chapter 954: Wang Zhiyuan Falls into the Net

Wang Zhiyuan’s aversion towards Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan had long been ingrained in his bones.

This aversion existed even before the apocalypse.

In fact, Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan didn’t know that Wang Zhiyuan had set his sights on them well before the apocalypse.

The reason being, many years ago there was a military competition in which Wang Zhiyuan, Jiang Wenbin, and Lu Yuanshan all participated.

However, because the two of them came from high-ranking officials’ families, the rewards were predetermined. Even though their results weren’t impressive, they were still selected as advanced candidates, received the annual honor medal, and were awarded a third-class merit.

On the other hand, Wang Zhiyuan was unexpectedly not selected because of his grassroots background.

Later, Wang Zhiyuan learned that those who secured a position in that competition had a priority recommendation for military school.

Wang Zhiyuan joined the military with just a high school diploma, dreaming of attending military school to bring honor to his parents.

This incident led him to thoroughly despise these second-generation elites.

However, Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan, who were involved at the time, were completely unaware of Wang Zhiyuan.

Even when the apocalypse arrived, and Wang Zhiyuan finally made a name for himself through his abilities, becoming a leader-level figure in the military faction.

Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan still couldn’t understand why Wang Zhiyuan was always at odds with them, making things difficult at every turn.

Actually, Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan had tried to win over Wang Zhiyuan, aiming to isolate and marginalize Hong Tianyi.

But Wang Zhiyuan immediately told Hong Tianyi about this, and from then on Hong Tianyi and Wang Zhiyuan became closer, leading to Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan being ostracized by Hong Tianyi.

So when Wang Zhiyuan heard that Hong Tianyi was truly planning to deal with Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan, he was naturally excited.

This was something he had wanted to do for a long time but hadn’t succeeded.

He believed with Hong Tianyi taking action, Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan would undoubtedly lose!

Immediately, Wang Zhiyuan asked, “Do you have a plan?”

“We need to win over one more person,” Hong Tianyi said with deliberate gravity.

As soon as Wang Zhiyuan heard this, his eyes lit up, and he immediately responded, “Hou Jianjun?”

Hong Tianyi nodded slightly and said, “Yes, Hou Jianjun. He is an outsider and hasn’t aligned himself with Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan. He is an ally we must strive to obtain.”

“So, you haven’t officially won him over yet? You sought me first?” Wang Zhiyuan couldn’t help but ask.

Hong Tianyi smiled and said, “Of course.”

Wang Zhiyuan was immediately overjoyed.

This indicated that he held more weight in Hong Tianyi’s eyes than Hou Jianjun.

In other words, if this endeavor succeeded, he would become Hong Tianyi’s most trusted person in the future.

This was extremely important to Wang Zhiyuan.

At this moment, he completely believed in Hong Tianyi and confirmed that Hong Tianyi truly intended to deal with Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan.

He then spoke, “Hou Jianjun is very shrewd and won’t easily commit.”

“Since the apocalypse, he has been hovering between us and Jiang Wenbin’s group, continuously maintaining a neutral stance and recruiting many outsiders, which is why his forces have grown to this scale.”

“Persuading him to take a stand and cooperate with us, I’m afraid mere persuasion won’t suffice.”

Hong Tianyi’s eyes flickered slightly as he asked, “Do you have a strategy then?”

Wang Zhiyuan excitedly said, “I think we need to control him first so that he can completely submit to our side.”

“Control him? How do we control him? Hou Jianjun is not foolish; even when he travels, he goes with a phalanx of guards,” Hong Tianyi replied.

Wang Zhiyuan’s eyes flickered, and he said, “Therefore, we can’t let him be on alert. My idea is that we bring people, under the guise of a meeting, to his Sea Star Island.”

“We’ll say we’re coming to discuss the situation in the South and the subsequent plans to encircle the Divine Country in the North.”

“In this way, he’ll surely let his guard down. Then, during the meeting, you and I will suddenly make our move and subdue him.”

“By then, everything will be easily settled.”

Upon hearing this, Hong Tianyi shook his head slightly and said, “But subduing him doesn’t guarantee he won’t regret it afterward.”

Wang Zhiyuan smiled mysteriously and said, “I have something that can be put to use.”

Upon hearing this, Hong Tianyi quickly asked.

Wang Zhiyuan took out a piece of bone rune equipment engraved with unique rune structures.

Wang Zhiyuan said, “Use this!”

“What is this?”

“This thing is called a Bone Covenant, passed down by superpower users from the Ancient Era, utilizing technology contributed by my side’s white dragon.”

Hong Tianyi picked up the Bone Covenant and asked, “What is its purpose?”

Wang Zhiyuan said, “The usage of this thing is simple. As long as both parties swear to the Bone Covenant and infuse it with their blood, the contract becomes successful. If either party violates the contract, they’ll undoubtedly suffer backlash from the Bone Covenant, resulting in serious injury at best, death at worst!”

“With this in hand, if Hou Jianjun agrees and signs the Bone Covenant, there’s no way he could ever turn back!”

Hong Tianyi showed a look of surprise and asked, “Is this thing truly effective? Have you tested it?”

“Of course it’s been tested, otherwise I wouldn’t take it out to use,” Wang Zhiyuan said.

Hong Tianyi’s eyes flickered and asked, “Do you have more of these things?”

“Of course, this thing isn’t hard to make. The difficulty lies in the materials needed,” Wang Zhiyuan replied.

“This bone isn’t ordinary; it must be from a mutant beast of the causality type to bear the causality-type runes on it.”

“The runes on this Bone Covenant are causality-type runes.”

Hong Tianyi nodded slightly in understanding and discreetly looked towards Liang Yuan amidst the crowd.

His eyes carried a hint of consultation.

Liang Yuan nodded slightly and communicated telepathically to Hong Tianyi, “Bone Covenants do exist, but to be cautious, you sign one with him first.”

Hearing this, Hong Tianyi’s eyes lit up and he then smiled at Wang Zhiyuan, “Zhiyuan, since there are more Bone Covenants, why don’t you and I sign one first? This way, we can strengthen the alliance between us, right?”

Upon hearing this, not only did Wang Zhiyuan have no objections, but he was thrilled.

Actually, he was worried about Hong Tianyi going back on his word, but he was too embarrassed to suggest using the Bone Covenant; unexpectedly, Hong Tianyi proposed it himself.

This naturally played right into his plans.

Immediately, Wang Zhiyuan said, “General Hong, I’m extremely glad you have this idea, as it shows you’re genuinely sincere about collaborating with me.”

“Come, let’s sign this Bone Covenant. I have an extra one here that Hou Jianjun can use.”

“Great, great, great!”

Hong Tianyi laughed and nodded, and the two of them immediately signed the collaboration Bone Covenant in front of their respective confidants.

This immediately allayed Wang Zhiyuan’s worries.

The alertness of the loyalists he brought along also diminished considerably.

With the Bone Covenant signed, the two groups would truly advance and retreat together as one.

Hong Tianyi also laughed and promptly said, “Let’s go, you and I will find Hou Jianjun now.”

“Let’s go!”

Immediately, the group set off for Sea Star Island.

Wang Zhiyuan, full of smiles, was already imagining catching Hou Jianjun. Afterward, when their three forces united and captured Jiang Wenbin and Lu Yuanshan, he truly wanted to see the expressions on those two second-generations’ faces, hahaha.

As he indulged in his thoughts, the group quickly arrived at Sea Star Island.

Hong Tianyi’s eyes quietly swept over Wang Zhiyuan.

Wang Zhiyuan’s face was filled with excitement, entirely unaware that he had already fallen into a giant trap.
