Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1608: Chapter 940: Red Star Island Conference

The content of the meeting on Red Star Island was not complicated.

The main focus was to determine the combat plan against the Divine Country.

An important aspect of this was to have Kerry Technology block the Divine Country from fleeing south.

Only by doing this can the Divine Country be completely resolved.

So right now, Kerry Technology’s role is very important.

“Speaking of this matter, it seems that General Hou’s men are in charge.”

Hong Tianyi looked at a middle-aged man in military uniform.

The middle-aged man nodded and said, “Yes, my subordinate Li Hu has already gone over. He reported back not long ago, having captured the leader of Kerry Technology, James.”

“James? A foreigner?” Hong Tianyi asked in surprise.

Hou Jian Country nodded slightly, “Yes, he should be a white man from the Lighthouse Country. He started a company here before the apocalypse and got stranded after the great flood.”

Hong Tianyi couldn’t help but wonder, “Would people follow a foreigner leading a shelter force?”

Others couldn’t help but make comments.

“Yu Province is also a large province. Among so many survivors, there isn’t anyone formidable? How did a foreigner become a leader?”

“Damn it, is everyone in Yu Province useless?” someone cursed.

A general sneered, “If it’s not a cult, it’s a foreign influence. Yu Province really is wasted with no local forces.”

Most of these people were from Jingzhou, naturally holding a superior attitude, looking down on people from other regions.

Now knowing the situation in Yu Province, they naturally mocked it.

Hou Jian Country frowned slightly and said solemnly, “Ladies and gentlemen, based on the information I received, this white man James is quite extraordinary, with very special abilities.”

“What abilities? No matter how strong, he’s just one person,” someone sneered.

Another person said, “If he was really that formidable, could he have been captured by your subordinate? This just shows how weak people from the south are.”

Hou Jian Country felt speechless. He was among the few non-Jingzhou people, his hometown in Rongcheng, and only after joining the army was he assigned to the Jingzhou Military District.

After the great flood broke out, he relied on his superpowers to become a leading figure in his unit.

Now, watching these descendants of Beijing’s aristocracy speak so disparagingly of Kerry Technology in the south, it was also a form of contempt for outsiders like him.

He took a deep breath and said lightly, “Since you all say Kerry Technology is nothing, why didn’t you take on this task back then?”

This statement silenced the meeting room for a moment.

When Hong Tianyi was discussing the combat plan back then, he had already anticipated that the Divine Country would flee south.

Therefore, he arranged early on for someone to contact Kerry Technology.

Otherwise, the moment the Divine Country was defeated, the Floating Island from Jingzhou would not have arrived near Kerry Technology so quickly.

Clearly, Li Hu and his team had set off long ago.

At the time, the Jingzhou Military had deliberated on sending a team to deal with Kerry Technology first.

But back then, none of these people here expressed a desire to take the initiative against Kerry Technology.

Now that capable subordinates from his side captured James from Kerry Technology, these people jumped out to say how insignificant James and Kerry Technology were.

Isn’t this just negating the achievements of his subordinates?

Hou Jian Country sneered internally and said, “I’ve investigated, and several years ago, the leader of Kerry Technology, James, successfully repelled the leader of the Divine Country, Shangdi. How many among you can defeat Shangdi?”

The crowd was slightly taken aback at this statement.

But soon someone spoke up, “General Hou, as you said, that was years ago.”

“The cult leader Shangdi has been cultivating swiftly over the years, and it’s quite possible his power has grown significantly, which doesn’t necessarily speak to James’s prowess.”

“Old Yu is right, perhaps that foreigner has long been surpassed by Shangdi.”

Hong Tianyi watched as people began to argue and couldn’t help but frown slightly, speaking in a deep voice, “Alright, everyone, calm down.”

Once he spoke, the crowd quieted down a bit.

Yet some still wore sneers, indifferent.

Hong Tianyi said in a deep voice, “General Hou’s team captured the leader of Kerry Technology, which is already a significant achievement and doesn’t need further debate.”

“General Hou, how long will it take to subdue Kerry Technology’s forces?”

Hou Jian Country pondered for a moment and said, “My men are currently negotiating with the people from Kerry Technology, but no news has come back yet. However, I estimate it will be soon.”

Hong Tianyi nodded, “That’s good. Currently, our strategy just lacks the engagement with Kerry Technology.”

“As long as we block the route for the Divine Country to escape south, we can sandwich them and eradicate this cancer!”

Just then, a young man in military uniform spoke up all of a sudden, “I’ve heard there’s another faction south of Kerry Technology, called the Mengya Company, also within the territory of Yu Province.”

“Should we take down this faction as well?”

Hong Tianyi thought for a moment and said, “It’s too far, going further south reaches Jiangnan Province, too far from Jingzhou, there’s no need.”

“Moreover, our spacecraft can’t accommodate so many people. The population from Jingzhou alone can’t be managed, so expanding outward is unnecessary.”

“Right now, let’s first take down the Divine Country cult and acquire enough Superpower Stones.”

The crowd all nodded, and no one objected further.

“Then that’s it for now, meeting adjourned.”

Hong Tianyi waved his hand, and the major generals stood up, gathering in groups of three or five to leave.

Hou Jian Country didn’t leave immediately. He waited until most people had left before approaching Hong Tianyi and asked, “Tianyi, how’s your injury?”

Hong Tianyi heard this, smiled slightly, and said, “It’s just minor injuries. This time Shangdi’s injuries were worse than mine, otherwise, he wouldn’t have retreated so quickly. We need to make haste and not give him a chance to catch his breath.”

After saying this, he looked at Hou Jian Country and said, “General Hou, keep a close eye on Kerry Technology and speed up the process.”

Hou Jian Country nodded slightly, “I know, if there’s no response by tomorrow, I’ll go personally.”

“Thank you for your hard work.”

“It’s all for the construction of a new world.”

Hong Tianyi heard this and sighed with emotion, “Yes, a new world… Let’s go visit the spacecraft base together.”

The two left the conference hall together, heading towards the spacecraft construction base.

A massive spacecraft base, with numerous engineering vehicles bustling back and forth, a gigantic spacecraft parked on a flat expanse of land.

The entire spacecraft covers an area of over ten kilometers.

It looks somewhat like a space station, immense and filled with a futuristic technology vibe.

Hong Tianyi gazed at the spacecraft before him, sparks of brilliance in his eyes.

“The overall structure of the spacecraft is basically complete. We just need to find enough Superpower Stones as fuel to launch it.”

“When the spaceship can enter space, we will have a retreat path.”

“We might even have the chance to resolve the Starry River hanging in the sky.”

Hou Jianjun was silent for a moment, then asked, “Tianyi, do you really trust those old folks’ words?”

Hong Tianyi heard this and smiled, “What does belief or disbelief matter at this point?”

“Right now, this flood won’t stop. Soon this planet will completely turn into a Flood World.”

“These Floating Islands will also be as those old folks described. Within ten years, they will surely lose their activity and all sink underwater.”

“By then, humanity will truly have no place to stand.”

“Creating this spacecraft now means we can manufacture more in the future.”

“In the future, we can build bases on nearby planets. As long as we stay away from the interstellar river, we can avoid the celestial deluge.”

“This is humanity’s only retreat.”

Hou Jianjun nodded slightly and sighed, “If it weren’t for this reason, to be honest, I really wouldn’t want to work with these people.”

Hong Tianyi nodded and said, “I understand. You have one Floating Island and two Floating Islands. To be honest, wherever you go, you could live leisurely and be a king.”

“Some people can’t get their heads around it, always thinking they are above others. You’ve been wronged.”

Hou Jianjun waved it off, “Forget it, it’s all for humanity.”

The two exchanged words and toured the spacecraft.

Hong Tianyi said, “Once the spacecraft can launch and reaches space, we’ll first try to repair the satellite system in the sky, using Superpower Materials to replace it, so it can withstand supernatural Magnetic Field interference.”

“Once the satellite system is repaired, it will equate to restoring network signals. By then, humanity will truly regain the technological capabilities of the information age.”

Hou Jianjun nodded, feeling emotional, “I really hope that day comes sooner.”

Hong Tianyi, “Don’t worry, it will come very soon.”

“As long as the energy issue of the spacecraft is resolved, everything will fall into place.”
