Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 962: Chapter 360: Black Stone Ant, Mulberry Forest (Part 3)

Liang Yuan immediately released Spiritual Power to envelop his whole body, forming a Spirit Turtle Shield, and blocked all his pheromones.

Instantly, the Black Stone Ants that had been looking up shook their heads in confusion, sensing around for a moment, finding nothing, then slowly lowered their heads and continued munching on mulberries.

Liang Yuan immediately understood that the Spiritual Power shield was indeed effective.

He returned to the edge of the forest and said to Dong Yan and Gao Jie, ”The Spiritual Power shield is indeed effective. In a moment, both of you use the Spirit Turtle Shield Talisman Stone to go in with me.”

”Gao Jie, you’ll lead the way, and Yanyan, you listen to my instructions.”

Gao Jie and Dong Yan both nodded quickly.

Dong Yan asked, ”Brother Liang, will I be a burden once I go in?”

Liang Yuan smiled, ”No, I need you to go in. Let’s see if we can establish a Spiritual Link with the Black Stone Ant Queen and have a good chat.”

Gao Jie, surprised, asked, ”Mr. Liang, it’s a Mutant Beast, can we really communicate with it?”

Liang Yuan chuckled, ”Why not? The Black Gold Giant Ape is also a Mutant Beast, and yet it serves me.”

Dong Yan’s eyes brightened, ”Brother Liang, are you thinking of subduing this Black Stone Ant Queen?”

Liang Yuan’s eyes flickered, ”That’s right, if the Black Stone Ant Queen can be tamed, it becomes a free Forest Ranger for us.”

”With it here, we won’t have to worry about anyone daring to come in and steal the mulberries.”

Gao Jie couldn’t help but ask, ”What if it doesn’t obey?”

Liang Yuan sneered coldly, ”Then we’ll force it into submission!”

After all, if he could tame the Black Gold Giant Ape, the Black Stone Ant Queen should be no trouble.

”Let’s go.”

Liang Yuan led the two women into the Mulberry Forest.

Gao Jie and Dong Yan instantly retrieved a Spirit Turtle Shield Talisman Stone, enveloping themselves in it, blocking the spiritual perception of the Black Stone Ants outside.

Gao Jie led the way, ”The Black Stone Ant Queen is near the big tree in the center of the forest.”

”That mulberry tree inside is enormous, almost like a king of trees, and the fruits it bears glimmer.”

”We all say the mulberries on that tree could very well be Mutated Fruit.”

The three of them made their way through the mulberry forest, where the mulberry trees looked like giant green umbrellas, and under the dense canopy, it was lush with grass and plants.

Occasionally, they could see red wild strawberries on the ground.

Dong Yan exclaimed in excitement, ”Can we eat these wild strawberries?”

Gao Jie laughed, ”Yes, we collected some and took them back. After Dr. Yang’s analysis, they were confirmed to be mutated from the once-called snakeberries.”

”And these are rich in vitamins, which can alleviate our vitamin deficiency due to a long-term meat diet with little vegetable intake.”

”Moreover, these strawberries have been transplanted by Granny Li and others to Yangshan and Meishan, where plantations are already cultivating them on a large scale.”

Dong Yan was delighted, her favorite fruit being strawberries, she didn’t expect to have the chance to eat them again after the great flood.

She reached out, picked one, wiped it lightly, and popped it into her mouth.

The mutated snakeberry had become sweeter and more refreshing.

As she bit down, its fragrance lingered in her mouth, her eyes brightened with excitement, ”It’s delicious!”

Gao Jie smiled, ”Granny Li analyzed that these Mutant Plants, to enhance the efficiency of seed dispersal, strive to make their fruits larger, sweeter, and juicier.”

”Why is that?” Liang Yuan was somewhat surprised.

Gao Jie explained, ”Granny Li said only if the fruit is large, sweet, and juicy enough, it can attract Mutant Beasts to eat them.”

”And when the Mutant Beasts eat the fruits, the seeds, which are hard to digest, are excreted out, effectively planting them.”

Liang Yuan, after hearing this, couldn’t help but marvel, ”That’s the path of evolutionary survival for plants.”

”Mr. Liang, we’ve arrived.”

Gao Jie suddenly stopped and reminded Liang Yuan.

Unknowingly, they had already traversed half of the Sang Forest and reached the center.

Amid the dense mulberry forest, a massive mulberry tree stood.

It was as thick as four or five people, with very thick bark, its branches soared into the sky, and the limbs extended outward, occupying a vast space.

Liang Yuan roughly counted; this mulberry tree had about three main branches, which then branched further.

In the dense foliage, there were about a dozen fruits shimmering in brilliance.

These fruits were stacked like eggs, in four colors: black, red, cyan, and white.

Each mulberry fruit was the size of a fist, extremely eye-catching!
