Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 960: Chapter 360: Black Stone Ant, Mulberry Forest

”We named these two mutant beasts the Black Stone Ant Queen and the Fire Bamboo Insect King,” Gao Jie described the two top-tier mutant beasts solemnly.

Liang Yuan raised his eyebrows slightly and asked, ”Are they mutant beasts of the ant and bamboo insect types?”

Gao Jie immediately nodded, ”Yes, Mr. Liang.”

”The Black Stone Ant Queen is formed by a mutation of a certain kind of black ant, whose body is entirely black, almost indistinguishable in the dark. Even on a rainy day, crawling on the ground, it resembles a giant rock, generally hard to notice.”

”It’s not only hard to detect with the naked eye, but also difficult to perceive with spiritual power.”

”What kind of mutant beast is this Black Stone Ant Queen?” Liang Yuan asked.

Gao Jie solemnly replied, ”It’s a dual mutation of the Spirit Class and Physical Class.”

”Dual mutation?” Dong Yan exclaimed in surprise, a bit shocked.

Liang Yuan was also somewhat astonished, a dual mutation?

So, this means that the Black Stone Ant Queen has at least two attributes reaching the 50 Points threshold.

”Explain its abilities in detail.”

”According to our observations, the Black Stone Ant Queen has two terrifying abilities: spiritual power summoning, as an Ant Queen, it can control a large number of small mutant Black Stone Ants to attack enemies.”

”How many can it control at once?”

”That’s unclear, but certainly over a hundred. Its spiritual defense is very high; I tried spiritual illusion technique control on the opponent once, but nearly got countered.”

Liang Yuan frowned and asked, ”What abilities does it have in the Physical Class?”

Gao Jie quickly responded, ”Its physical defense is very strong! Its outer skin is as hard as stone; ordinary knives and swords can’t cut through it, which is why we call it the Black Stone Ant Queen.”

Liang Yuan became interested, such a mutant beast is impervious to weapons and has spiritual defense capabilities, truly tough.

Liang Yuan suddenly thought of something and asked, ”So does it have no natural enemies at Lingyun Slope?”

”Probably not,” Gao Jie nodded. ”The Black Stone Ant Queen is about the size of an adult, not very fast, likes to gnaw on trees and rocks, and eats meat as well, belonging to an omnivorous category.”

”But it doesn’t move much; it manipulates the mutant ant colony to transport food back for its consumption.”

”Is its appetite large?” Liang Yuan asked.

”Not very large, but it’s quite picky about food; ordinary meat or plant fruits are not very attractive to it, only eating mutated biological flesh.”

After hearing this, Liang Yuan pondered; once strength reaches a certain stage, ordinary food can’t satisfy such level of mutant beasts anymore.

For the Black Stone Ant Queen, the energy obtained by consuming the flesh of one mutant beast is equivalent to the energy of ten ordinary creatures.

”Where is its ant nest now?”

”Right at the Mulberry Forest on the west side of Lingyun Slope. By the way, that Mulberry Forest has mutated mulberry fruits; our people discovered the mutant Black Stone Ant Queen because of this.”

”It seems to be guarding that mutated mulberry fruit.”

Gao Jie reminded Liang Yuan.

Liang Yuan raised an eyebrow, ”Mutated fruit?”

”Let’s go, take me there to have a look.”

He immediately asked Gao Jie to lead the way towards the Mulberry Forest.

Gao Jie promptly guided Liang Yuan to the Mulberry Forest while introducing the other top mutant beast.

”The other mutant beast, the Fire Bamboo Insect King, was discovered by us at the Fire Bamboo Forest near Jueyun Slope.”

”The Fire Bamboo Insect King before mutation should have been a type of bamboo insect.”

”Its appearance is akin to a greatly enlarged bamboo insect, the entire body rod-shaped, color crimson, its body resembles a fire bamboo, hiding in the bamboo forest. It’s hard to discern not only with the naked eye but also difficult to sense with spiritual power, a true master of disguise.”

”The Fire Bamboo Insect King’s defense power is very strong, its segmented limbs astonishingly sharp, and it possesses a potent fire toxin. Once scratched by it, it’s like being burned, causing massive swelling and festering.”

”Besides, this Fire Bamboo Insect King has wings, capable of low-altitude flight, very fast.”

Gao Jie solemnly introduced the various characteristics of the Fire Bamboo Insect King to Liang Yuan.

Liang Yuan couldn’t help but frown, a master of disguise with strong hiding abilities.

Aggressive attacks, equipped with toxins.

Indeed, once these mutant creatures embark on the path of evolution, their development direction is not solely focused on enhancing a certain attribute.

Instead, it’s enhancement in multiple attributes, posing significant threats.

If humans want to fight these beings one-on-one, it’s indeed very challenging.

Only with the advantage of numbers, utilizing wisdom, can we deal with these mutant beasts.

However, neither the Black Stone Ant Queen nor the Fire Bamboo Insect King can be tackled by human wave tactics.

The Black Stone Ant Queen can manipulate a large army of Black Stone Ants to serve it, rendering human wave tactics useless.

It can continuously produce worker ants, and it’s not any loss if they die.

But the lives of people at the shelter can’t withstand such consumption.

Whereas the Fire Bamboo Insect King is a master of disguise and skilled at low-altitude flight, making it hard to surround with human wave tactics.

Additionally, if there are many people, it might stealthily attack one by one.

This is why the patrol team has occupied Jueyun Slope for so long without advancing the work.

Of course, these two mutant beasts evidently have their own territories.

The Black Stone Ant Queen guards the Mulberry Forest, with its target as the mutated mulberry fruit.

The Fire Bamboo Insect King has its disguise abilities most closely matched to the Fire Bamboo, within the range of the Fire Bamboo, it can achieve a perfect 100% hide, but in other places, that’s not necessarily the case.

So it generally doesn’t leave the Fire Bamboo Forest.

Thus, giving the Yangshan Patrol Team a chance to station at Lingyun Slope and build a fortress there.
