Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 889: Chapter 330: Joint Plan

”Old Min? That old fox is very cunning. Even when Xu Lie Feng went over, he didn’t put up much resistance and directly surrendered.” Gao Yucheng said with a frown.

An Minghui also said, ”Yes, Old Min probably can’t be trusted.”

Ever since Yang Shenmin and the others left Building 75, a few more people from the original group had awakened their superpowers one after another.

Among them was a fifty-something-year-old man named Min Guoqiang, who had taken the lead.

When Yang Shenmin and the others first left Building 75, they took away a small group of people.

Those people were bold and fearless, eager to find a chance to survive.

However, among those who remained, quite a few actually wanted to leave as well.

But for various reasons, they had no choice but to stay.

Min Guoqiang stayed because he had chronic asthma at the time. Knowing he didn’t have much time left, he believed that even if he reached Yangshan, he wouldn’t survive.

So he simply decided to make the best of a bad situation and stayed in Building 75, not following Yang Shenmin and the others to Yangshan.

Unexpectedly, during an accident, he successfully awakened a mutated ability and evolved a superpower.

From then on, he saw hope for survival and actively faced the difficulties.

He successfully became the boss of Building 75.

He maintained the ice storage created by Zhao Kai in Building 75, accumulating quite a bit of fish.

They didn’t lack food and drink, and those under him were willing to follow him.

Later, Building 75 saw the awakening of three more superpower users, further enhancing the overall strength of the building.

Zhang Peng had previously interacted with Min Guoqiang a few times. Min Guoqiang was very friendly towards Zhang Peng, even showing an attitude of willingness to follow Zhang Peng’s lead.

Zhang Peng understood the reason for Min Guoqiang’s attitude.

The other party probably wanted to follow him to Yangshan someday and reconnect with Mr. Liang.

After all, at Mr. Liang’s place, Zhang Peng was once a member of the patrol team.

He was considered among the earliest members of Mr. Liang’s team.

However, this was all in the future. For now, faced with someone as formidable as Xu Lie Feng, this old slickster might not be so reliable.

This was not only An Minghui’s thought but also what Wen Xiao and others were worried about.

But Zhang Peng gently shook his head and said in a deep voice, ”Probably not. Although Old Min is slick, as long as he still wants to leave the building one day and take refuge in Yangshan, he won’t make things irreversible.”

”Moreover, right now, Xu Lie Feng is clearly setting a trap, waiting to catch everyone in one fell swoop. As long as Old Min isn’t foolish, he won’t truly trust him.”

”Brother Peng, should we go talk to him then?” Gao Yucheng asked in a deep voice.

Zhang Peng slightly nodded and said firmly, ”At dawn, Wen Xiao and I will go.”

Wen Xiao also nodded in agreement: ”Okay.”

With that, they went back to rest for the night. The next morning, it was drizzling outside.

Zhang Peng and Wen Xiao sat on a simple raft, rowing towards Building 75 across the way.

However, they specifically avoided the main entrance of the building, where Xu Lie Feng’s people were guarding.

Building 75 had already been taken by Xu Lie Feng, so naturally, he would leave people there to guard it.

The raft bypassed the main entrance and went to Unit 1 at the side.

Wen Xiao took out a rope, controlled it with telekinesis, and sent it continuously up the building until it reached around the thirtieth floor.

The two exchanged a glance and immediately, one after another, grabbed the rope and climbed swiftly up the wall.

Passing the floors near the water, they climbed all the way up to around the thirtieth floor, planning to get in through the window.

However, after the great flood, almost every family had sealed their windows to prevent anyone from entering their homes from outside.

Helplessly, they continued climbing up to the thirty-first floor.

Then Zhang Peng peered through a window and saw two people talking inside.

One of them was Min Guoqiang!

Zhang Peng immediately showed delight and stopped, gesturing to Wen Xiao.

They hung outside the window, clinging to the wall, listening to the noises inside.

Wen Xiao, being a Spirit Ability User with keen senses, quickly heard the conversation inside clearly.

”Uncle Qiang, Xu Lie Feng’s people are going too far. Not only did they seal off the first floor and restrict us from fishing, but they also force our people to pay a fishing tax. No matter how much fish we catch, they take half!”

Min Guoqiang looked grim and asked, ”What is everyone saying about this?”

The young man opposite him said excitedly, ”Everyone’s waiting for your word. Just one word from you, and we’ll fight them!”

”Today they’re robbing our fish, tomorrow they’ll probably target our ice storage!”

”That’s the ice storage that Dr. Yang and the others spent heavily on to get Captain Zhao to build. Without it, the grains and bread we stored would’ve rotted by now.”

”Though a lot of the ice has melted now, it still serves some purpose.”

”There’s quite a bit of fish stored inside. Sooner or later, these bastards will target our ice storage.”

”Uncle Qiang, we have to rise up.”

The young man said angrily and indignantly.

Min Guoqiang’s face darkened, and he said, ”Rise up? Don’t you think I want to? But look at what kind of strength we have in Building 75 to confront Xu Lie Feng and his group?”

”Rely solely on an old man like me? Or on you, Luo Yang, a Strength-type Superpower User?”

The young man named Luo Yang immediately shouted in anger, ”Then what should we do, just let them bully us to death?”

”Back when Dr. Yang and Daoist Lin were here, they didn’t give up even in the face of a vicious brute like Deng Hu. Are we really going to sit back and surrender?”

”Damn it, if I had known I could awaken a superpower, I would’ve gone to Yangshan with Dr. Yang and the others.”

Luo Yang said this with frustration and anger.

He truly regretted it. Why was he so timid back then, not daring to leave the building and follow Dr. Yang and the others to join Mr. Liang and go to Yangshan?

Now trapped in this building, not only was he not getting enough to eat or wear, but he also had to endure bullying.

He was a Superpower User and felt utterly suppressed.

Min Guoqiang said, ”Enough complaining. If you have time for that, you might as well think about how to stay alive.”

Luo Yang was taken aback, looked up at Min Guoqiang, and asked, ”Stay alive? What do you mean?”

”What do I mean? Do you think Xu Lie Feng has no idea that his people are blatantly bullying us?”

”Hmph, if I’m not mistaken, that Xu will soon make a move against us.”

”This time I gave in, and he didn’t find an opportunity to deal with me, but he will definitely act against me sooner or later.”

Min Guoqiang snorted coldly, holding strong hostility towards Xu Lie Feng.

He knew very well that Xu Lie Feng would not spare him.

Xu was bound to deal with him sooner or later.

After all, there were only so many resources in Meidu Garden. Fewer people would naturally mean less wastage of those resources.

These so-called resources included fish from the water, wood, women, food, etc.

Outside the window, Wen Xiao and Zhang Peng exchanged a glance, both showing surprise.

It turned out Min Guoqiang had also long been dissatisfied with Xu Lie Feng.

This cunning old man had long seen Xu Lie Feng’s true nature.

Zhang Peng immediately tapped lightly on the window.

Inside, Min Guoqiang and Luo Yang were startled, quickly turning their heads to look outside the window.

Then they saw Zhang Peng and Wen Xiao.

Min Guoqiang’s expression changed slightly, but he immediately sighed with relief and exchanged a glance with Luo Yang.

Min Guoqiang immediately smiled, walked to the balcony, opened the window, and whispered, ”Captain Zhang, what are you doing outside? Come in quickly, and don’t let Xu Lie Feng’s people find you.”

Zhang Peng and Wen Xiao came inside.

As soon as he entered, Zhang Peng said, ”Old Min, I heard what you just said. I’ve come this time to ask you one question. Do you want to join me in taking down Xu Lie Feng and his men?”

Min Guoqiang’s eyes narrowed immediately, and behind him, Luo Yang instinctively stepped forward and said, ”Brother Peng, are you serious?”

Min Guoqiang glared at Luo Yang, who immediately shut his mouth.

Min Guoqiang then sighed, ”Captain Zhang, you know Xu Lie Feng’s power, and under him, Zhao Jun and others are also Superpower Users. How confident are you in taking him down?”

Zhang Peng said gravely, ”If we sit and wait for him to come to us, I have no confidence at all.”

”But if we take the initiative, we do have a chance!”

Min Guoqiang and Luo Yang exchanged a glance, both looking surprised.

Min Guoqiang whispered, ”Take the initiative? Captain Zhang, what do you plan to do?”

Zhang Peng’s gaze turned slightly cold as he looked in the direction of building 88 and said, ”We find a way to lure Xu Lie Feng’s people out and then deal with them separately!”

Min Guoqiang pondered after hearing this.

On the side, Luo Yang looked anxiously at Min Guoqiang, seemingly very eager to agree.

Min Guoqiang thought for a moment and then asked, ”Besides us, are there any others?”

Zhang Peng shook his head, ”The key to success is secrecy. So far, I’ve only contacted you two.”

Min Guoqiang couldn’t help but nod slightly, contemplated for a moment, and said, ”I have an idea. Maybe we can lure Xu Lie Feng’s people out.”

Zhang Peng immediately looked at Min Guoqiang and asked, ”What idea?”

”Yesterday, when they went from me to your side, I saw them discussing something secretly.”

”Although I didn’t get close, I could guess that they plan to target building 76.”

”Here’s what I’m thinking: tomorrow, I’ll pretend to surrender and tell Xu Lie Feng that I have a plan to lure you in.”

”Then, when he arranges for an ambush against you, we can join forces and find a way to kill Xu Lie Feng first!”

Zhang Peng’s eyes lit up slightly as he heard this, ”That’s a good plan.”

On the side, Wen Xiao furrowed his brows slightly and looked at Min Guoqiang.

This plan seemed good, but it had a big problem.

That is whether Min Guoqiang could be trusted!

If Min Guoqiang turned on them during execution and sided with Xu Lie Feng.

Then at that time, Zhang Peng and his group would indeed be very much in danger!

But for now, it seemed that Min Guoqiang and his group had long been dissatisfied with Xu Lie Feng and the others.

Earlier, during the secret conversation between Min Guoqiang and Luo Yang, Wen Xiao and Zhang Peng heard everything clearly.

This shouldn’t be fake.

Zhang Peng then said, ”Alright, let’s do it this way. The sooner, the better. This plan shouldn’t be delayed.”

Min Guoqiang thought for a moment and said, ”Okay, tomorrow morning, I’ll go find Xu Lie Feng’s people.”

”If it succeeds, I’ll put up red paper in the window as a sign.”

”When the time comes, just come over. We’ll meet and act on the twenty-third floor!”

”It’s a deal!” Zhang Peng nodded.
