Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 868: Chapter 319: The Past of Lai Zhiyong and Fu Qibo (Part 2)

After several days, the terrified Lai Zhiyong gradually came to his senses.

He realized it seemed that nothing happened after committing murder.

No police came to arrest him, and no law punished him.

He didn’t pay any price.

At this moment, he completely unleashed the evil in his heart.

He officially transformed into a notorious scoundrel.

Not only did he join the ranks of murderers who seize food, but he also began to gather subordinates, gradually taking over the floors.

Fu Qibo watched in amazement as he transformed from an ordinary person into a tyrant who killed as easily as drinking water.

For the sake of self-preservation, Fu Qibo also tried to develop his own superpower.

Unable to find food and not daring to steal others’ food, he turned to fishing.

Because of his special superpower, which allowed him to see where unique mutant creatures were underwater, his fishing skills became excellent.

Almost every time, he managed to catch fish.

Lai Zhiyong discovered his ability and began to recruit him, assigning him specifically to fish.

Given that Lai Zhiyong also realized that if this continued, the food in the building would eventually run out, he saw a fishing expert as a stable food source.

Thus, Fu Qibo survived in the building.

His daily routine was fishing, then killing and cooking the fish.

During this process, he gradually discovered the rune bones inside the mutant fish.

And so, he embarked on his path of researching superpower weapons.

All his research, of course, did not escape Lai Zhiyong’s surveillance.

Once the first superpower weapon was developed, Lai Zhiyong immediately recognized Fu Qibo’s value.

He swiftly killed all the tenants upstairs and imprisoned Fu Qibo in an upper room designated for crafting superpower weapons for him.

Afterward, Fu Qibo wasn’t completely sure how Lai Zhiyong rose to power, not only becoming the boss of Building 87 but also controlling many superpower users to serve him.

He even established a black market in Building 87, trading superpower weapons, acquiring beautiful women, and turning sex into a commodity.

Hearing this, Liang Yuan basically understood the experiences of these two men.

As for how Lai Zhiyong rose to power, Liang Yuan guessed that Lai Zhiyong must have also deeply developed his abilities.

Especially that fruit with a yellow flower, which could release parasite species.

This allowed Lai Zhiyong to control so many superpower users, growing to become the underworld ruler of Building 87, forming the black market.

If not for the encounter with himself, Liang Yuan feared this black market would continuously grow, and Lai Zhiyong might eventually become the overlord of Sunshine New City.

By then, if the great flood continued, Lai Zhiyong would most likely lead the superpower users he controlled away from Sunshine New City to find a new foothold.

He would probably head towards where he was, Yangshan!

This meant that Lai Zhiyong and he were bound to meet sooner or later.

Liang Yuan couldn’t help but smile; it seemed he had unintentionally resolved a potential enemy.

”Do you know what superpower the mutated fruit he consumed provided him with?” Liang Yuan asked Fu Qibo.

Fu Qibo recalled, ”I once observed the superpower energy on him, but it was strange. He clearly had green wood attribute energy on him, yet there was also a cluster of white spirit attribute energy in his head.”

”I suspect he has two types of superpowers, but since I was always imprisoned upstairs by him, it was hard to obtain other clues.”

Liang Yuan nodded slightly, looking at the unconscious Lai Zhiyong, and said, ”Yes, he indeed has two kinds of superpowers.”

”Plant manipulation is just one of them; the other is related to the little yellow flower I just cut off.”

Fu Qibo was surprised: ”The little yellow flower?”

Liang Yuan nodded: ”That yellow flower had the ability to devour spiritual power, protecting his sea of consciousness.”

”However, that’s not its main function. I suspect that yellow flower can release some kind of dust fluff that is invisible to the naked eye.”

”This dust fluff can easily be inhaled into the body or cling to the skin, entering through capillary pores.”

”And this dust fluff, controlled by his consciousness, can take root in flesh, and once activated by him, it will grow rapidly, bursting through the host’s body.”

Liang Yuan’s words made Fu Qibo’s face turn pale.

He said in horror: ”If that’s the case, doesn’t that mean I’m in great danger?”

Liang Yuan looked at him, smiled, and said, ”The yellow flower should be the key to his ability to control those dust fluffs.”

”Now that the yellow flower has been cut off by me, he probably doesn’t have that ability anymore.”

”The key is, he might not survive now.”

Liang Yuan looked at the fallen Lai Zhiyong.

Lai Zhiyong’s breath was getting weaker.

Although Liang Yuan had already scorched the roots of the yellow flower with flames,

that yellow flower continued to devour Lai Zhiyong’s life force.

In just a short while, Lai Zhiyong’s hair turned completely white, his appearance aged, wrinkles appeared on his forehead, and he lost most of his vital blood.

Unless something unexpected happened, Lai Zhiyong would soon be drained dry.

Fu Qibo also realized this and couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief, looking at Lai Zhiyong with a complex expression.

He whispered, ”Actually, I should also thank him. If it weren’t for him, I would probably have ended up like the others with him sooner or later.”

”By the second month of the great flood, I already ran out of food.”

”I survived on the meat of mutant fish.”
