Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 869: Chapter 319: The Past of Lai Zhiyong and Fu Qibo (Part 3)

”But after that, I was imprisoned by him, and he would regularly bring me food.”

”Not only fish, but occasionally there would be some carbohydrates and even mutant plants.”

”Actually, I know that this food of his was most likely robbed from others. These foods come with blood on them.”

Fu Qibo lowered his head, speaking with a complex expression.

Liang Yuan ignored him and instead walked to the end of the raft, looking at the bone turbine engine at the tail.

”Did you also develop this?”

Liang Yuan touched the turbine engine and asked.

Fu Qibo turned around, saw the turbine engine in his hand, and nodded slightly: ”Yes, a long time ago, Lai Zhiyong asked me to research power energy.”

”He said that with the way the flooding is, it’s only going to get worse. Although the buildings in Sunshine New City are not low, sooner or later, they will be submerged.”

”We need to have a ship to survive in the Flood World.”

”But right now there’s nowhere to find a ship, and the flood is full of terrifying mutant beasts, so we dare not leave the neighborhood.”

”Fortunately, I’m from the Tsinghua Research Institute, so I have some expertise in this field.”

”So, I thought of using superpowers as an energy source, trying to develop a superpower version of a turbine engine.”

”So far, I’ve only developed this type of turbine engine.”

Liang Yuan’s eyes showed a different light; this Fu Qibo truly is a talent, actually managing to develop such an engine.

If this type of engine could be applied at Yangshan Shelter, a lot of the shelter’s equipment might be upgraded.

He turned again to look at the wooden cabin, where a large amount of supplies was stored inside, along with many well-crafted superpower weapons, superpower stone beads, and other items.

Liang Yuan said nothing more, directly putting them all in his bag.

Then he grasped the two wires of that turbine engine and asked, ”What are these? Wires?”

Fu Qibo shook his head and said, ”No, these are the tendons of mutant creatures. When I was researching, I discovered that these large tendons of mutant creatures have very good superpower conductivity, so I used this property as the superpower energy transmission carrier for the turbine engine.”

Liang Yuan grasped the two ’wire’-like tendons with both hands, then his internal superpower surged and was infused into them.

Sure enough, the two tendons immediately hummed and vibrated, and the vast superpower rushed towards the turbine engine.

With a bang, the turbine engine instantly started up.

The arrow-shaped raft whooshed, rapidly accelerating, cutting through the floodwaters, and quickly turned toward Building 87 at high speed.

Feeling the kinetic energy of this turbine engine, Liang Yuan couldn’t help but feel a mix of surprise and joy.

”This speed is no less than an automobile engine’s speed!”

”And I haven’t even unleashed all my superpower yet!”

Thinking of this, Liang Yuan’s eyes sparkled, and his internal superpower surged.

Immediately, those two tendons vibrated, and superpower continuously poured into the bone engine.

The rune on that bone engine lit up, and the turbine’s speed soared by another huge margin!

In the blink of an eye, the raft had already returned to Building 87’s entrance.

The hundred-meter distance took less than ten seconds!

Liang Yuan stopped, turned his head to look at Fu Qibo, who was tightly clutching the wooden cabin’s door frame, and asked, ”What are the runes on this turbine engine?”

Fu Qibo, enduring the dizziness, quickly said, ”They’re ’Violent Qi’ runes, discovered in the rune bone of a Strength-type Superpower User’s body, capable of compressing air in a short time to generate immense kinetic energy.”

”These are the runes from the body of the superpower user I previously mentioned with the ’Palm Thunder’ ability.”

Liang Yuan realized that the runes on this turbine are used to compress air to generate explosive power, accelerating the rotation to speed up the raft?

”Mr. Liang!”

”Brother Tu Long, Mr. Liang is back!”

Over at the ground floor, Ni Qi and others were already waiting at the door, waving as they saw Liang Yuan returning.

Behind them, Old Qi and Old Yan were also there.

Apart from them, there were some unfamiliar superpower users following behind them.

In total, there were about a dozen people.

Seeing this scene, Liang Yuan asked, ”Is everything settled?”

Tu Long quickly said, ”Mr. Liang, I’m not sure what happened, but all those superpower users from the black market suddenly fainted, and their bodies developed varying degrees of festering red spots.”

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan frowned slightly.

At this time, Fu Qibo quickly shouted, ”I know what’s going on. Lai Zhiyong lost control over the parasite species. Those parasite species, once uncontrolled, start to grow autonomously, absorbing the host’s flesh and blood.”

Upon hearing this, everyone immediately had a change in their expressions.

”Parasite species?”

”What is it?”

”I vaguely remember hearing them mention that the leader of the black market, Lai Zhiyong, could release some kind of parasite species that inhabited others.”

”What!”

For a moment, Old Yan, Old Qi, and others all had ugly expressions.
