From Folly to Fortune：I Rewrite My Life After Rebirth!

”Yeah, yeah! I promise not to tell anyone!” Mu Tou raised his right hand, making a vow gesture.

Afraid that Wei Dacong might not agree, Mu Tou added, ”Brother Da Cong, although we’re not blood brothers, in my heart, Mu Tou, you’re my big brother. Wherever I have a bite to eat, you’ll have a bite too!”

Upon hearing this, Wei Dacong felt extremely comforted inside.

He smiled and said, ”In that case, let me show you!

Wei Dacong took out a folded recipe from his clothes pocket and handed it to Mu Tou.

Mu Tou widened his eyes, looking as if he couldn’t believe it.

He stared at the recipe, examining it over and over.

Finally, when Wei Dacong placed the recipe in his hand, he realized this wasn’t a dream!

He, Mu Tou, finally had contact with the most core thing of Chengfeng Restaurant!

Once he learned the dishes on the recipe, who would dare look down on him, Mu Tou?

He wanted to buy land, live in a big house, marry ten eight wives, and even get a few of the prettiest maids to serve him!

Mu Tou began to envision his future days, the curve of his mouth widened due to his smile, bigger than ever before.

He opened the recipe, took a glance, and Wei Dacong snatched it back from him.

Wei Dacong folded it as if it were a treasure, and placed it back into his chest.

”A glance is enough, Mu Tou, I really can’t let you see it again, don’t blame your big brother!”

Mu Tou cursed Wei Dacong in his heart, but on the surface, he could only smile cheerfully!

”Big brother, you’re willing to tell me this, treating me as a brother. How could I possibly want to see more? Never mind that, let’s drink, drink!”

The two drank two more cups of wine, then Mu Tou asked again: ”Brother Da Cong, with your skills, have you thought about opening your own restaurant?

The scale doesn’t have to be bigger than Chengfeng Restaurant, but it could definitely attract lots of customers!”

”I want to! Who doesn’t want their own business, who doesn’t want to be their own boss!

But as a cook, all of my money, I send to my family. Where would I find spare money to open a restaurant!” Wei Dacong shook his head helplessly.

His expression truly looked like someone who’s frustrated and unfulfilled!

Mu Tou’s heart began to ripple once more!

”That’s true! Capital is the biggest hurdle, if someone did have the capital, who would want to be someone else’s employee?” Mu Tou also shook his head.

”But Brother Da Cong, I actually have an idea, one that could make you money, and a lot of it!” Mu Tou said.

”What idea?” Wei Dacong widened his eyes with obvious interest.

”Oh, maybe I shouldn’t say, in case you get angry again!” Mu Tou shook his head.

”Brother, just tell me, if I get rich, I surely won’t forget you!” Wei Dacong said, patting his own chest as he spoke!

Among men, using this gesture while speaking shows that the matter is taken very seriously!

Wei Dacong’s reaction, Mu Tou could see clearly.

He couldn’t help but feel a sneaky delight: I told you, who in this world doesn’t love money?

”Brother Da Cong, swear you won’t get angry, and I’ll tell you!” Mu Tou said.

Wei Dacong imitated Mu Tou’s earlier gesture, raising his hand above his head, ”I promise not to tell anyone!”

”Brother Da Cong, as I see it, you might as well sell the recipe to someone else, take the money, and open a restaurant in another town!” Mu Tou said.

”What, open a restaurant elsewhere? No, no, no, that would be letting down the owner! She’s been too trusting of me!” Wei Dacong shook his head repeatedly.

”Oh, big brother, I told you I shouldn’t have mentioned this! I knew you wouldn’t agree! But if people only think of themselves, the heavens will punish them. If you spend your life working for someone else, you’ll only earn that little bit of silver all your life.

Might as well do one big deal, make the money, and you could even give the owner some money as a repayment!”

”This...” Wei Dacong looked troubled.

At this moment, his expression, in Mu Tou’s eyes, was one of struggle, hesitation.

”Big brother, don’t hesitate any longer, when money and status are in front of your eyes, think about your wife, is it better for her to be a shopkeeper’s wife, or a head chef’s wife?

And your son, didn’t you say you want him to study and become a champion scholar? All this needs money!” Mu Tou said.

Wei Dacong sighed, finally saying helplessly, ”Alright... alright! I’ll... I’ll sell! I’ll sell the recipe!”

Mu Tou’s face was full of excitement: ”Then I’ll contact someone, three days later... no, tomorrow, let’s sell the recipe, okay?”

”Alright! But since I’m selling the recipe, I want more silver, fifty...”

”Fifty taels? No problem!” Mu Tou interrupted directly.

Wei Dacong shook his head, ”Not fifty taels, five hundred taels! If this recipe falls into the opposite restaurant’s hands, Chengfeng Restaurant would definitely collapse!

If it stays with Chengfeng Restaurant, within a year, it would earn it back!”

”A year’s time? Is a restaurant’s profit really that high?” Mu Tou was dumbfounded!

Five hundred taels is not a trivial amount.

Chengfeng Restaurant, was it really this terrifying?

When he was an assistant chef, how did he not notice!

”Yes, I occasionally heard steward Yu mention it, also saying that Miss Shuangshuang, our female owner, is planning to sell Chengfeng Restaurant to open a bigger one!” Wei Dacong said.

Hearing this, Mu Tou could no longer suppress the excitement in his heart.

With profits this high in a year, five hundred taels of silver was indeed nothing.

After a few rounds of drinking, Wei Dacong went to rest.

Mu Tou quietly left the courtyard of Chengfeng Restaurant, observed the surroundings, and finding no one following him, went to the opposite restaurant.

The scene was completely different from his last visit, this time, Mu Tou was carrying the fruits of victory!

He went straight to the private room where Xia Guagua was, and said to her, ”Owner, the task you gave me is completed!

I got the recipe from Snail, and there were special gains! It turned out, this Snail is just a small dish in that little girl’s recipe, nothing significant!

That recipe contains many big dishes. If we get them, our restaurant wouldn’t just be famous in Qingshan Town, even the county would be within our grasp!”

Mu Tou spoke with exaggerated excitement, and naturally, Xia Guagua believed him!

Moreover, she and Mu Shuangshuang were from the same village, and in early days, she knew that Mu Shuangshuang was foolish and never spoke.

She also didn’t interact with people, and definitely didn’t know how to cook.

Now, that girl not only became a restaurant owner but also knew how to cook, she felt someone must have guided her!

Now a recipe explained it all!

”Just tell me, what are your terms!” Xia Guagua asked.

”Five hundred taels, the head chef across the street said he’d sell it for five hundred taels!” Mu Tou said.

”What, five hundred taels?” Xia Guagua thought she heard wrong.

This trip, she brought a total of one thousand eight hundred taels, out of which five hundred were initially given by Wang San.
