Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2908: Chapter 2917: This Man’s Sharpness

”What do you think?” Assistant Terrence gave him a disappointed look.

The Director understood quickly and politely said to Renee Anderson, ”Miss, are you the one needing an examination? I’m so sorry, please follow me. I’ve already arranged for the hospital’s most skilled doctor and specifically cleared a department to serve you personally.”

It’s incredible that a hospital like Brilliant would clear an entire department just for her minor examination... Even when her Grandpa hadn’t retired from the Military District yet, she wouldn’t dare to imagine such a possibility...

Renee’s heartbeat quickened once again, and that sense of vanity made her tremendously satisfied. She raised the corners of her mouth, gracefully and generously thanking the Director, ”Thank you.”

”Miss, you’re too kind. Please follow me.” The Director couldn’t quite discern her identity, so he adopted a slightly flattering tone out of politeness and led the way.

Assistant Terrence followed behind, secretly rolling his eyes.

It seems this Director of Brilliant won’t last long.

Lacking even this basic insight yet daring to play tricks with the accounts, haha, as if the President is dumb and can’t detect the fake accounts he submitted?

He probably doesn’t realize it yet, but the President has already ordered an audit, and the Headquarters’ legal team is on standby, ready to deal with him the moment they have evidence.

With the Director leading the way, they passed through unhindered and arrived outside the Gynecology Department, where a nurse guided Renee for her examination.

Baron Lawrence certainly wouldn’t just wait outside for Renee’s examination results. Instead, he had the Director bring out another copy of the previously submitted financial statements and took the opportunity to have several hospital directors come over for a brief on-site financial report.

In just twenty minutes, the directors and the Director of the hospital were drenched in sweat, wiping non-stop with tissues.

”...According to the statements, overall, the hospital’s profit-to-loss ratio last year... I believe the slowdown in hospital revenue growth is associated with high salaries paid to various specialists, I...” The Director took the lead in summarizing the report.

The man, sitting with the report in hand, closely examined it, showing no expression and, from beginning to end, didn’t comment on their report.

Yet, for some reason, they all felt as if a huge stone was pressing on their chests, suffocating them with immense pressure.

They were fully aware of the shady dealings within those statements.

Pretending they’d escaped scrutiny earlier, they assumed they had gotten away with it. But who anticipated Baron Lawrence would suddenly show up today for an examination? An examination is one thing, but to abruptly demand a report on the hospital’s financial status and specifically request to see the financial statements...

It’s absolutely false to say they’re not afraid.

”I believe... I believe the hospital should reduce the hiring of specialists and focus more on nurturing the internal staff...”

He was still stammering, searching for words.

At that moment, Baron Lawrence put down the statements and, under their watchful eyes, crushed the report into a ball and tossed it into the trash.

The Director’s face turned bright red instantly, speechless and sweating even more profusely, ”President, President Lawrence...”

Baron Lawrence stood up, his height unquestionably dominating over the others. He looked down at them coldly and haughtily, ”Are you aware that Lawrence Corporation has a coal mine in Country T?”

”Uh...” The Director and the directors exchanged looks, unsure why he suddenly mentioned it, but still afraid to answer, ”Ye, yes.”

His expression remained unchanged, yet his voice was chillingly cold, ”Useless people can just go there and serve their final purpose!”
