Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2292: Chapter 2301: A Windfall from the Sky?

Lena’s gaze was fixed entirely on Olivia Lewis, occasionally sweeping over to Enna Clark, and those eyes were full of ill intent.

Olivia felt unfamiliar with her and frowned, uncomfortable with how she was being watched.

Who is this woman, making such a fuss?

Lena’s female assistant also greeted Sunny, ”Yes, Ms. Lena has a live stream interview at the TV Station today, so she came over.”

”Ah, that Entertainment Base Camp, right?” The show’s ratings are very high; unless you’re a top star or a trending idol, you can’t get on.

The assistant covered her mouth with a smile, ”That’s right, today’s episode is exclusively Lena’s. Originally, Lena didn’t have time to come, but the other party finalized the time several times, and Lena found it hard to refuse, so she managed to spare a day.”

”Is that so? I heard that Lena is filming an international Blockbuster, it’s normal to be busy.”

”Exactly.”

The two exchanged sentences, seemingly having a good atmosphere.

But everyone in the studio was familiar with the entertainment industry’s ways, and they had already trained themselves to be very perceptive.

Just the fact that the two big-name stars involved hadn’t spoken a word showed their relationship might not be so friendly.

Moreover, who in the circle doesn’t know about the temperament of international Queen of Acting Lena.

She’s highly regarded and famous in the industry, but her temper is volatile. She particularly dislikes beautiful women, and generally, pretty female stars will meet misfortune when they encounter her.

Enna also discreetly glanced at the tall, beautiful woman, feeling something was off.

Unexpectedly, although the tall beauty’s look seemed unfriendly at first, soon, you couldn’t tell much from it. She actually responded to Sunny, smiling warmly, ”No, don’t listen to her nonsense. Actually, I really wanted to be on that show, so I proactively called the Host, which led to this opportunity.”

So humble?

Enna felt something was strange about it; Lena’s character didn’t seem like someone who would say this.

Just as she was puzzled, she heard Sunny ask, ”Ms. Lena is here to...?”

”It’s nothing; the program’s Director heard you were here, so they asked me to inquire if Olivia could spare 3 minutes to record their show.”

She actually invited Olivia Lewis to record her main show?

Seeing everyone with an expression of doubt, Lena smiled and explained, ”It’s like this: our episode’s theme is the road to film. The beginning includes some reminiscences of classic films, including Olivia’s ’Assassin’s Chronicles’. I also had a cameo in that movie. The Director heard you were here and thought of having Olivia and me on the same stage to chat about interesting stories from filming.”

”I see...” Sunny thought this was a good opportunity, glanced back at Olivia Lewis, and after some thought, said, ”Only 3 minutes? It’s doable, right, Olivia?”

Olivia needs a comeback, and just relying on advertisements won’t suffice.

If there’s a good show to test the waters, it’s even better.

The show Lena mentioned is currently a highly-viewed star interview program.

Olivia wouldn’t be appearing as the main guest, just showing up as a friend of the main guest, which wouldn’t be too aggressive while allowing her to gauge audience reactions, and see if the influence of the previous stir about CP (Couple Pairing) has faded.

Olivia Lewis and Enna Clark felt similarly, thinking this Lena seemed strange. Olivia originally didn’t want to agree, but since her Manager Sunny had consented, she felt it hard not to give Sunny face, so she reluctantly muttered an ’um’.
