Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2254: Chapter 2263: So What If I’m Bullying You?

”Oh, Enna, I’m not trying to show off that this dress was bought for me by President Lawrence. I just wanted to tell you not to feel too pressured; President Lawrence still cares about you. Please don’t misunderstand.”

Enna Clark looked at her coldly.

She had seen plenty of two-faced people.

But compared to Miranda Lewis’s performance today, Amelia Young’s type of duplicity was far inferior.

At least Amelia Young cared about her reputation and her identity, even if she was duplicitous, she was subtle about it.

Miranda Lewis, on the other hand, was not.

She had the skill to be more annoying than the villainous second female lead in a TV series.

In fact, to be precise, Miranda Lewis truly seemed like she was acting in a TV show today. From the hidden excitement in her eyes, she looked as if there were cameras surrounding her, ready for another take.

Enna Clark didn’t know what was really going on between her and Baron Lawrence, but whatever it was, Miranda Lewis picked the wrong person to flaunt in front of today!

”Enna, you wouldn’t really misunderstand, would you? Don’t be mad, I’m apologizing to you. Please don’t be mad at me, and especially not at President Lawrence. If you’re really upset, just be mad at me, don’t argue with President Lawrence...”

As Enna Clark listened to her incessant babbling, she quietly raised the matcha cake she had been eating and suddenly let it slide down onto her well-groomed hair—

The cake slipped from the plate onto Miranda Lewis’s elaborately styled hair, instantly giving off a sticky sweet aroma.

Miranda Lewis was stunned for a moment, not immediately realizing what had happened.

Enna Clark acted faster than her reaction, swiftly raising her hand and delivering a clean slap across her face—

”Smack!”

A crisp slap echoed throughout the banquet hall.

Everyone’s attention was drawn over.

”Ah.” Miranda Lewis screamed, covering her face.

She wanted to rush forward, but quickly realized the surrounding gazes. She immediately suppressed her furious expression, and instead feigned a pitiful demeanor, eyes rimmed with red, quickly filling with mist, as though she’d been bullied by Enna Clark.

”Enna, you...”

”Ha.” Enna Clark gave the desired cold laugh, arrogantly showing her disdain.

Right in front of the crowd, she struck her cheek again with a reverse slap.

While she appeared utterly disheveled from the blow, Enna suddenly leaned in, speaking clearly in a voice only audible to the two of them, ”Miranda, I suggest you watch fewer melodramatic soap operas about wealthy families. Do you really think if I’m not Mrs. Lawrence, then you will be? Let me make it clear to you: you could never replace me in this lifetime. Even if I no longer want this status, you wouldn’t even pick up what I leave behind. If I were you, I’d be more honest instead of going out flaunting arrogantly.”

”What, do you think now that you’ve taken two slaps and pretended to be pitiful, someone will stand up for you?”

”Let me tell you, even if I give you a few more slaps, just because I am the rightful Mrs. Lawrence, the Habsden heiress, no one will stand up for you! Even if I bully you, all you can do is feign pity, what can you do to me?”

Even if I bully you, what can you do?

It’s so arrogant, yet so piercing!

Miranda Lewis looked at her with eyes nearly aflame, jealous enough to want to pounce and scratch Enna Clark’s face.

She wasn’t mute as the news had said, from the start Enna Clark had treated her like a clown, deliberately watching her antics!
