Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1845: Chapter 1835: Enna Clark’s Answer

An hour later, Old Master Lawrence left the villa with the Housekeeper.

Enna Clark had just coaxed the two children to take a bath and had finally settled down in the living room to rest.

Edward Jackson called out to her, ”Enna, come over here.”

”Huh? Okay.” Enna followed him to the garden.

The garden also had lounge chairs for resting. Edward Jackson sat in one and gently tapped the spot next to him, saying to her, ”Sit.”

Enna sat down.

Edward Jackson got straight to the point, ”Just now, Old Master Lawrence talked to me about the idea of a marriage alliance between the two families. What do you think?”

In truth, he believed Lyle Westbrook was more suitable for Enna.

Because of the relationship between the older generation of the two families, the Old Lady was, in a sense, a half-elder to Lyle Westbrook. Even if the two of them got married and quarreled in the future, they’d have someone to talk sense to them.

Baron Lawrence was different.

So, from an elder’s perspective, he certainly preferred Lyle Westbrook.

Enna Clark didn’t expect Old Master Lawrence to be so incredibly proactive, and had directly gone to talk with her Little Uncle, indicating he was serious.

Thinking about how she promised to give an answer when Old Master Lawrence returned, she felt some inexplicable psychological pressure.

”Our family will definitely respect your choice. Grandma and I have long agreed that as long as you like someone, whether that boy is rich or not, we will support you. Actually, Grandma and I hope you find someone with less favorable conditions as long as I’m around. I won’t let you suffer. We don’t have the notion of marrying into wealth; it all depends on who you like.”

Edward Jackson’s tea-colored eyes were filled with wisdom, the kind of charm only a mature man gained through years.

”I’ve been following the news lately. It seems you two are arguing. So, Enna, you need to think carefully about whether you want to choose this person. Once you choose, you have to accept some of his flaws. Only if two people mutually accept each other can they go the distance. Marriage isn’t just dating, where you can break up easily. If you choose to marry him, you must decide never to divorce, otherwise, it’s not good for the child’s upbringing. Therefore, I suggest you think clearly about whether you can accept some of his flaws and whether he can accept some of yours.”

Everyone has flaws, and no one is perfect.

Marriage is about two people who can mutually accept each other’s flaws living together in harmony.

If you want marriage to last, you have to be mutually accepting.

He hoped Enna would think it through.

Enna Clark paused for a moment and said, ”I can.”

Edward Jackson was surprised she decided so quickly and was momentarily stunned.

Enna had already pressed her lips together, looking into his eyes as she continued, ”I know his flaws, and he’s seen me at my most wretched. So I think we can do what you said, Little Uncle.”

Yes, she really does like Baron Lawrence.

She already loves him.

As for Bobby and Gigi, how could she not love Baron Lawrence?

They are arguing now, even considering breaking up.

But, Old Master Lawrence has given the opportunity and made clear that if she doesn’t want it, he’ll find someone else. She believes Old Master Lawrence means what he says. She doesn’t want to miss out on the person she likes due to a bit of awkwardness and spend a lifetime in regret.

She should have married Baron Lawrence long ago.

Or rather, they might as well be in a hidden marriage; it’s just not officially acknowledged yet.

This time, she wants to marry him openly and properly.

As for the quarrel, they can settle it after getting married.
