Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1324: Chapter 1324: Overthinking Chapter 1324: Chapter 1324: Overthinking Baron Lawrence felt the gaze that had been on his face move away.

It was he who had asked Enna Clark to move aside, yet when she really did move, he was the one who ended up feeling unhappy!

He furrowed his brows, almost wanting to forcibly turn the little woman’s head beside him back to continue gazing at him.

But before he acted, he managed to restrain the impulse.

With effort, he shifted his attention back to the movie.

Although he had been looking at the screen earlier, his focus had been entirely on Enna Clark; he had no idea what was happening in the film. It wasn’t until now that he started to genuinely get into it.

The more he watched, the more his brows knitted together.

He knew the film Enna had chosen – it was a horror movie that had premiered not long ago, with a decent box office performance, but its run had ended and it was already available online.

He had assumed that most women in such a situation would at least choose a hot blockbuster that hadn’t been released yet or even a romance movie.

Unexpectedly, Enna Clark hadn’t chosen either, opting instead for the least popular horror film.

Could it be that she was aiming to use the opportunity of watching a horror movie to throw herself into his arms?

He suddenly saw the light.

Feeling good, he curled his lips into a slight smile, thinking that watching a horror film occasionally wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

In reality, he had thought too much. By the end of the over two hours of the movie, Enna Clark had made none of the moves he imagined of throwing herself at him. Even during the most terrifying and frightening scenes, she showed no intention of doing so, merely glancing at him from time to time as if observing his reactions.

But observation aside, every time he thought she would make a move, she acted as if nothing was happening and turned her head back!

It was as if she was merely interested in observing his reactions to the movie!

Shit!

It was just a horror movie. Did this woman really expect him to get so scared that he would take the initiative to throw himself at her?

Baron Lawrence pursed his lips, his good mood slowly overshadowed by clouds as the two hours passed.

His eyes narrowing, he pressed a button and ordered in a low voice, “Put on another one!”

He refused to believe that this woman had gone to the trouble of coming to the company to invite him to a movie just to sit here and watch it with no intention of making a move.

He wasn’t sure how the communication here worked.

No sooner had Baron Lawrence given the order than the second movie lit up.

This time, Enna Clark had finally chosen a popular blockbuster, although it wasn’t the kind of secret big film that hadn’t been released. Rather, it was a film currently in theaters with a reasonably good reputation.

Maybe it was due to the previous horror film, but Enna Clark seemed to have little interest in this blockbuster and finally moved as Baron Lawrence had hoped.

However, it wasn’t the move he expected of throwing herself at him. Instead—she started eating pastries!

Enna Clark was truly hungry.

Although sitting there watching a movie didn’t consume much energy, after sitting for over two hours and watching a movie she had already seen, Enna Clark was somewhat exhausted.

The key issue was, throughout the entire film, she detected no sign of being moved by Baron Lawrence.

It was as if he had never watched the horror movie with her before.

Both the movie-watching and the Tomato and Egg Noodles plan had failed, leaving Enna Clark unspeakably dejected.

And since she hadn’t eaten much at noon, her stomach couldn’t help feeling hungry.
