Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1308: Chapter 1308: Clear my schedule for tomorrow afternoon! Chapter 1308: Chapter 1308: Clear my schedule for tomorrow afternoon! The more he sneaked glances, the more certain he became that Lord Baron was in an exceptionally good mood right now.

He even forgot to prepare coffee and just casually asked him to make it.

On any other day, that would definitely trigger a furious, blood-boiling tirade.

The assistant gingerly brewed the coffee and brought it in, only to see the haughty and distinguished man sitting in a leather swivel chair, holding a box in his hand.

Seizing the opportunity as he set down the coffee, he stole a glance at the contents of the box.

He discovered it was a dolphin bracelet meant for a woman.

He couldn’t help but recall the prior incident where he had rushed to Clountain Road, only to see the President’s car but not the President himself.

Could it be that when he called Baron Lawrence at that time, and Baron said he was busy, he was out buying this bracelet?

Who was Baron Lawrence buying the bracelet for?

The assistant’s curiosity clawed at him like a cat, but not even ten bouts of courage would allow him to ask Baron Lawrence if he went out to purchase the bracelet and whom it was for. He could only suppress all his curiosity in his heart, itching like cat scratches.

Baron Lawrence didn’t notice his assistant’s curiosity at all. He opened and then closed the box, closed and reopened it, then took the bracelet out of the box to look at it carefully, and finally put it back and tucked it inside the box.

He took out his phone and glanced at it.

When he saw there were no text messages or notifications on his phone screen, his clear skies of good mood suddenly darkened again.

With a smack, he tossed the phone aside.

The assistant had initially seen his thinly smiling lips and thought he was in a good mood, but in an instant, the smile disappeared, and he saw Baron throw the phone aside, causing his heart to lift in anxiety.

Fortunately, Baron Lawrence’s mood turned sour only for a moment, and overall, he was still in good spirits. He told his assistant, “Clear my schedule for everything after five o’clock tomorrow afternoon.”

“Tomorrow afternoon?” The assistant quickly pulled out a notebook, flipped through it with a troubled look, and said with gritted teeth, “Lord Baron, tomorrow evening you have an important dinner to attend, do you see if in the evening you…”

“Clear it, inform the Organizer that I have something important and can’t get away!” Baron Lawrence was utterly dismissive, imperiously arrogant.

He had already hinted so to that woman, so even if she was foolish, she should have caught on to his meaning.

Besides, that woman seemed intent on seducing him!

Baron Lawrence was experiencing for the first time the sensation of a woman throwing herself at him without feeling the urge to deport her to Country T to work in the mines. Not only did he not want to toss her out, but he also felt an inexplicable sense of pleasure.

He couldn’t explain why he felt this indescribable emotion for such an ordinary-looking little woman.

But he was not someone to deny himself, and being with this little woman made him feel pleased; thus, he didn’t mind giving her the chance to pursue him.

Although, he hadn’t granted this opportunity to many others who were more suitably matched to him in family background and looks compared to Enna Clark!

Having said that, Baron Lawrence picked up his phone again, and his mood lightened once more.

He looked at his phone, which had yet to receive any messages and found his originally irritable mood became strangely calm.

His handsome, deep-set eagle eyes lifted slightly, and his thin, sharp lips revealed a confident curve!

That woman would definitely send him a message, who knows, maybe even now she’s racking her brain on how to send her first text to him!

The thought of Enna Clark diligently figuring out how to message him brightened his mood; he put down the phone, lifted his head, and directed his assistant, “Bring me all the documents I haven’t dealt with this morning. I want to see them!”

He would wait while he read.
