Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1316: Chapter 1316: Cook Personally Chapter 1316: Chapter 1316: Cook Personally On the other side.

Enna Clark first drove to the supermarket to buy the needed items, then drove back to the villa.

Edward Jackson had already taken Gigi out, and Bobby had also gone to school, leaving only Auntie Poppy at home.

When the servant saw her return, she was extremely surprised, “Miss, how come you got off work so early today?”

Enna Clark took her groceries out of the car, closed the door, and while walking inside, she said, “I have to go back to the company later. By the way, Auntie Poppy, I remember we have a new thermal container that we haven’t used yet, right?”

“Yes, there is a thermal container…”

“Could you please find it for me? I will need it in a bit.”

“Uh…” Auntie Poppy also saw the vegetables she was carrying, and although she didn’t understand what Enna planned to do, she immediately said, “I’ll go find it right away.”

“Okay.”

Enna Clark carried the groceries into the kitchen.

She had bought tomatoes, eggs, noodles, and, in addition, a piece of imported sirloin beef from Country J, cauliflower, and other items.

It had been a long time since she last cooked. After turning on the faucet, she found an apron to wear and then began to methodically wash the tomatoes, scallions, and cauliflower.

After washing, she cut the cauliflower and blanched it in boiling water, then scooped it out and set it aside on a plate.

Finding an empty wine bottle that was no longer in use, she laid the steak on the cutting board and began pounding it.

This was a method she had found online, which claimed that steak treated this way would end up having a more chewable texture.

Baron Lawrence was particularly picky about food, and even though it was a time-consuming and laborious process, Enna Clark still decided not to skip this step.

Because noodles would quickly become mushy after being cooked, she decided to cook the steak first.

After adding rice wine and salt to the tenderized steak, she poured oil into the pan. Once the oil was heated, she let it cool down a bit before putting the steak in… The pan immediately erupted with the sound of sizzling as hot oil splattered everywhere.

Enna Clark, whose culinary skill was anything but remarkable, didn’t know how to handle this scenario, so she braved the splattering hot oil and tried her best to flip the steak in the pan.

When the steak was almost done, she poured in the red wine she had prepared earlier.

Perhaps because she had fried it too long before, even with the addition of red wine for coloring, the steak’s appearance when taken out of the pan had a large gap compared to the photos she had seen online. While others’ steaks were appealing in color, aroma, and taste, hers just… looked less than perfect.

“Forget it, it should be fine.”

She diverted her gaze, deciding out of sight, out of mind.

After washing the pan, she started to make the Tomato and Egg Noodles.

Auntie Poppy had already found the thermal container and, seeing the Red Wine… steak placed aside, was taken aback, but not wanting to discourage her, she offered, “Miss, do you want to pack this up? Let me help you.”

“Okay.”

Auntie Poppy helped her pack the steak.

Enna Clark methodically began making the Tomato and Egg Noodles.

Compared to the Red Wine Steak which she was unfamiliar with and which required precise heat control and cooking skills, Enna could whip up Tomato and Egg Noodles with ease.

In no time, she had fried the eggs to a golden brown, and then added water, tomatoes, noodles, and sprinkled scallions on top. Every step was done with familiarity and ease.

Concerned that the noodles might become too sticky, she deliberately added a little more water while cooking. The milky soup covered the noodles, topped with a layer of crimson tomato pigments and flecks of green onion, making it far more appetizing in the thermal container than the Red Wine Steak.
