Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1239: Chapter 1239: Scott Harris Received a Call from Enna Clark Chapter 1239: Chapter 1239: Scott Harris Received a Call from Enna Clark Scarlett’s fainting was so timely that even if Brother South wanted to say something, it would be deemed as unilateral defamation.

And now that she had passed out, it was unclear whether she was the one who had orchestrated someone else’s abduction or if she herself had been abducted.

After all, her disheveled appearance now made her look more like the victim of an abduction.

If a person unaware of the situation stumbled upon this scene, they would undoubtedly subconsciously believe her “performance”. But this time, Scarlett had miscalculated.

Lyle Westbrook had investigated everything thoroughly before he arrived.

Even if Brother South’s account was all over the place, lacking coherence, Lyle still understood what had happened.

He didn’t know what had occurred, but he was certain that Enna had run away.

Given Scarlett’s state, Enna must have given as good as she got before she took off.

The worry that had been plaguing him also dissipated.

However, no hint of the darkness lifted from his handsome face, and his deep-set peach blossom eyes fixed on the “fainted” Scarlett.

“Young Master Lyle… the Princess has fainted…” The Female Officer’s heart was pounding wildly, fearful that if he stayed here any longer, the issue of Princess Scarlett abducting Ms. Clark would be exposed. Even though she knew Scarlett might not have genuinely fainted, she still put on an anxious expression, as if Scarlett had truly passed out, “Yong Master Lyle, please take her to the hospital first, I am worried about the Princess’s health…”

Lyle gave her an emotionless glance, which made the Female Officer’s already racing heart beat even faster, and she suspected that he saw right through her.

At that moment, the tall and handsome man suddenly said, “No need for the hospital, I’ll take her back.”

“Prepare the car!”

After Lyle spoke, he did not give the fainted Scarlett another look and turned to leave.

“Yes, Young Master Lyle.”

The Land Rover drove straight into the abandoned factory, and the driver quickly opened the car door for him. Lyle bent over to get in and pulled the door shut. Then he suddenly spoke, “Call Prince Willie, tell him I have something to discuss with him and hope he returns to the country as soon as possible.”

The driver quickly stole a glance at him through the rearview mirror and understood the situation clearly. It seemed this time Young Master Lyle was not inclined to spare any face for Princess Scarlett, and he promptly replied, “Yes, Young Master Lyle!”

Eight Land Rovers sped in and quickly departed, taking along the unconscious Scarlett, her Female Officer, and the driver.

The remaining twenty or so people were all handed over to the Police officers.

…

Enna Clark had no idea that Lyle had searched for her all the way to the abandoned factory and taken Scarlett away, planning to hand her over to Prince Willie.

She had just stepped off the bus in the City Center, borrowed a phone, and called Scott Harris, informing him of her location.

It wasn’t long before Scott drove up to her.

Upon seeing her, his eyes sparkled, and he hurried over to her, “Ms. Clark, I apologize for the wait.”

“No, I haven’t been waiting long.”

Scott was more concerned about her well-being and surveyed her from head to toe, suddenly noticing the injury on her leg and becoming anxious, “Ms. Clark, your leg… you’re injured? Are you alright? Do we need to take you to the hospital?”

“I’m fine, I just bumped it.” Enna’s mind was entirely fixated on the evidence from the recording, and she inadvertently neglected the pain in her left leg. Grabbing Scott’s arm urgently, she asked, “By the way, Mr. Harris, the recording…”
