Star Martial Era: The Way of Star Light Cultivation

Chapter 184: Chapter 113 Fishing and Sweeping (Please Subscribe)_2

Xu Jin had done the calculations—if the original map was a size of one hundred, then after the first 15 minutes, it would shrink to fifty, and after the second 15 minutes, it would reduce to twenty-five.

Compared to the size of the initial map, by the third 15-minute mark, the map’s size had already shrunk by fourfold.

Therefore, the chances of encountering disciples from the Taoist Institute would greatly increase.

Likewise, the likelihood of finding disciples from the same Taoist Institute to form a team would also greatly increase.

Thus, he had to speed up his actions, not only to earn higher points for himself but if possible, give a few disciples from the Jinshan Taoist Institute a helping hand—hopefully even assisting Ning Yuchan.

On the eastern part of the Wilderness Battlefield, Yan Chen occasionally looked up to check the position of the sun.

He headed towards the highest peak in the southern direction with determination.

He didn’t intentionally seek out targets to kill but would do so when he happened to encounter them along the way.

minutes later, Yan Chen successfully reached his destination and ascended to the highest peak of this small mountain.

Shortly after reaching the top, he saw a figure ascending from below—it was Guan Li.

”Senior Brother Yan, why have you only just arrived? I’ve been here for 15 mins already,” laughed Guan Li.

”Far away. Are there any others?” Yan Chen replied with a smile.

”Not yet, but they should be arriving soon! Before the map shrank, this small mountain wasn’t conspicuous, but it has become quite obvious after the shrinkage. Others should be on their way here,” Guan Li replied, still smiling.

”Good, then let’s partner up first to search around for targets to kill. We’ll come back here after 15 mins,” Yan Chen suggested.

”Okay.”

The confidence of the two surged as they teamed up.

With their combined strength, unless they encountered teams of four or five, they could sweep through the opposition!

minutes later, the pair returned to the rendezvous point, and now their team included two more people—Fang Mingchun and Yuan Feiqing.

Of the ten core disciples from the Da Chen National Daoist School, four had now teamed up.

”How come Big Sister and the others haven’t arrived yet?” Looking at his points, the last to arrive, Fang Mingchun, was a bit anxious.

”Let’s not wait. We’ll operate in pairs for now, first hunting for points. If we encounter teams with more members, we’ll tactically retreat!

The very center of the Wilderness seems to be the lowest area, the rocky beach.

After we split up and hunt, let’s meet up there!” Yan Chen arranged.

”Okay.”

In an instant, the four split into two groups and dispersed.

As disciples of the Da Chen National Daoist School, they had the advantage of information.

They had experienced similar practical training scenarios to today’s Wilderness Blood Battle before.

Though they couldn’t communicate within the battlefield, they had methods to outsmart this restriction.

Primarily, they would take advantage of direction and terrain.

They had long agreed that if they encountered a similar battlefield, the first rally direction would be southward, then head towards the highest point.

Such an arrangement increased the probability of regrouping in the Middle Period significantly.

The advantage gained from this went without saying.

Quickly, such an edge was reflected on the leaderboard.

Within the Autumn Examination Secret Realm, the Starlight leaderboard in the sky was rapidly changing with points.

But most eye-catching were the four—Yan Chen, Guan Li, Yuan Feiqing, and Fang Mingchun—whose points were soaring.

In less than 15 minutes, they had almost secured the third to sixth positions.

There was even a possibility that they could surpass the leading Big Sister, Meng Qingqiu.

It wasn’t just them, on the leaderboard of the entire Wilderness Blood Battle, the points of the disciples from the Da Chen National Daoist School were rapidly rising. In just 45 minutes, they had taken 18 of the top 20 spots.

This scene worried many instructors and Mountain Masters from the State and County Taoist Institutes.

But this was unavoidable—the Da Chen National Daoist School had the most disciples, they had the highest odds of encountering peers from the same school, thereby forming teams earlier and securing higher points.

Xu Jin was also advancing across the Wilderness when suddenly, two disciples from the Taoist Institute appeared before him; spotting Xu Jin, they immediately charged at him.

”Disciples from teams have already succeeded.”

The duo, with silver collars and cuffs, were disciples from the Da Chen National Taoist School.

At the same moment, Xu Jin also swiftly accelerated to meet the challenge.

The two disciples from the Da Chen National Daoist School were somewhat surprised and became very cautious, aware that their opponent wasn’t fleeing so his strength must be considerable.

The next instant, one of them recognized Xu Jin.

”No good, it’s that number one!

Retreat quickly, split up...”

Before he could finish, a burst of sound reverberated, and two Star Arrows struck, delivering instant kills.

Xu Jin shook his head.

Had they not fled, the two could have fought him for a couple of rounds.

But the second they turned to escape, without any fighting spirit, they were doomed to be instantly killed.

The two provided Xu Jin with an additional fifteen points.

It seemed that the pair had also accumulated quite a few points so far.

Xu Jin then hastened his pace once more, without a clear destination in mind except the center.

Earlier, from atop a large tree, Xu Jin had roughly seen that the center of the Wilderness seemed to be a rocky beach.

A few minutes later, as he advanced, Xu Jin’s ears twitched—he could hear the sound of Star Bursts from afar, signifying that a battle was underway.

In the next instant, Xu Jin executed his Flying Star Step to leap twenty or more meters high, quickly spotting the situation in the distance.

Two individuals were ambushing a man with a spear.

The spearsman was in perilous danger but managed to hold his ground by resorting to all-or-nothing moves.

As Xu Jin rushed forward, he got a clear look at the spearsman.

What a coincidence.

Lu Xianbing!

After so long, he finally encountered a fellow disciple from his institute.

Exploding with the Flying Star Step, Xu Jin traversed the hundreds of meters in a single breath, arriving on the scene.

The two disciples laying siege to Lu Xianbing, adorned in silver apparel, were from the Da Chen National Daoist School. Seeing someone charging fiercely, one of them immediately broke off to intercept.
