Star Martial Era: The Way of Star Light Cultivation

Chapter 170: Chapter 109: Counter-Kill and Fourth Place (Please Subscribe)_3

The intention was to remind Lv Kun to sever the Star Rope and escape Xu Jin’s entanglement, to secure a ranking first and foremost.

But at this moment, Xu Jin was also fuming with rage.

Dammit, the sudden assault by the third place competitor had cost him his ranking, and the convenient attack of the fourth one was actually aimed at his life.

Although they couldn’t take his life here, it could ruin his future and destroy his path in the Tao!

Ruining his future was no different than killing him in reality.

Therefore, as soon as Xu Jin made his move, he did it with full force.

One Star Rope entangled Lv Kun’s Star Rope, halting him in place for a split second, while two more Star Ropes whipped towards Lv Kun like venomous dragons.

Lv Kun also wielded his Star Ring, but to his horror, it took him two swings of the Star Ring to break just one of Xu Jin’s Star Ropes.

By that time, Xu Jin had already reached his side and used the pull of the Star Rope to bring him closer.

It was only at this point that Lv Kun realized, severing the Star Rope.

But he was too late.

Xu Jin’s Iron Fist had already slammed into his body.

Star Radiance burst in an extremely short moment, twice.

The first burst shattered the Starlight Shield that Lv Kun had been protecting himself with.

It was then that the few who had reached the finish line at the flag post reacted with a change of expression, crying out, ”Show mercy!”

To hell with showing mercy!

When you were ruining my future, where was your mercy?

The second burst of Star Radiance struck Lv Kun like lightning, pulverizing him into a dispersing glow of Starlight.

With that, the Star Radiance Lv Kun had aimed at Xu Jin dissipated as well.

The faces of the top three who had reached the finish line became incredibly ugly at the same time.

Due to this delay, the sixth-ranked competitor had already caught up and was about to overtake Xu Jin.

Without looking back, Xu Jin’s three Star Ropes whipped out from his left hand like venomous dragons, instantly stopping the sixth place on the rope bridge.

The sixth place without hesitation attacked Xu Jin’s Star Rope, but in the next instant, Xu Jin’s Flying Star Step exploded underfoot, suddenly accelerating him towards the finish line flag!

”How could you so cruelly destroy someone’s future?”

At this moment, the second place boiled with the most rage, seeing Xu Jin rushing over with his left Star Rope fluttering and right hand Starlight flickering, ready to attack Xu Jin, to stop him from reaching the finish line, and possibly even with the intention to kill Xu Jin.

Boom!

A Thunder Snake suddenly descended from the sky and struck right in front of the second-ranked.

”Those who have reached the finish line, if you dare cause commotion in the exam area, will be treated as if they have cheated!” A supervisor dressed in black appeared under the flag at the finish line, coldly staring at the second-ranked who intended to attack Xu Jin.

Xu Jin, who was ready for a big fight, also withdrew his Star Power and, with a burst of Star Power under his feet, reached the finish line.

Starlight information emerged.

[Xu Jin, congratulations, you have passed the autumn exam’s main selection round, with a time of twenty-nine breaths, currently ranked fourth.]

Afterward, the previous sixth place arrived as fifth, followed by the sixth, seventh, and eighth.

After the eighth arrived, his expression suddenly changed. ”Hey, where’s Senior Brother Lv? Didn’t I see him ahead just before?”

No one spoke, but the first, second, third, and fifth ranks all turned their eyes to Xu Jin with extremely ugly expressions.

Especially the second and the third, who just ambushed Xu Jin, their eyes were filled with darkness.

Xu Jin also figured it out at this point, the Da Chen National Daoist School.

Except for Xu Jin and the seventh, the collars and cuffs of these disciples were all silver, representing the Da Chen National Daoist School.

Meaning, most of the top eight were monopolized by students from the Da Chen National Daoist School.

”He killed Senior Brother Lv, causing Senior Brother Lv to be eliminated directly!” The fifth-ranked Guan Li provided the answer.

”What?”

The eighth-ranked Fang Mingchun was shocked, then turned to Xu Jin and cursed, ”Which Daoist Institute are you from? Compete for a name if you must, but how can you so easily destroy someone’s path? Do you realize that by killing and directly eliminating Senior Brother Lv, you’re making him lose the chance to become a True Disciple?”

Xu Jin cast a sidelong cold glance at Fang Mingchun, ”His future matters, but mine does not? He wanted to kill me; was I supposed to just stand there waiting to die?”

Fang Mingqing was puzzled.

But Yan Chen, the second-ranked, angrily retorted, ”Nonsense, you could clearly have bypassed Junior Brother Lv; did you deliberately make a deadly move to kill Junior Brother Lv?”

Xu Jin looked at Yan Chen with a dark gaze, immediately labeling him a hypocrite!

Against such hypocrites, explanations were pointless.

”So what if I did?”

Xu Jin challenged Yan Chen, staring him down and leaving Yan Chen hopping mad.

”You..., just wait, I will avenge Senior Brother Lv....”

”Enough!”

First place Meng Qingqiu, a woman, suddenly shouted angrily, ”We are all disciples of the Da Chen Daoist School, why talk of revenge?”

”But Senior Sister...”

”The autumn exam is merely a competition among fellow students. Everyone relies on their own abilities and accepts their fate. If you can’t match others’ skills, you can’t blame anyone! Stop talking about vengeance and grudges; do you think the supervisor is just for show?” The black-clad supervisor standing atop the Starlight above the flag gave a cold smile.

Yan Chen ceased at that point.

The third place looked at Xu Jin and suddenly stepped forward, ”I am Yuan Feiqing; may I ask your esteemed name and which institute you hail from?”

Xu Jin glanced at Yuan Feiqing, the very person who had attacked him first.

But Xu Jin bore no grudge against him.

The rules allowed it, and had it been Xu Jin, he might have attacked too for a higher ranking.

The Lv Kun whom he had just killed was damn despicable, blocking his own and even trying to kill him.

Encountering him again, Xu Jin would still choose to kill without hesitation!

However, at this moment, Yuan Feiqing’s inquiry about Xu Jin’s name and origin seemed to have a bit of an ulterior motive.
