Chapter 144: Chapter 144: World Quest Completed

[Notice: Amegakure Village’s Angel has ended the stream. Total viewers: 9. Duration: 200 minutes. Total points earned: 1800.]

Doujin Artist: 200 minutes? I really watched the stream for over 3 hours?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Damn, 1800 points? I’m jealous.

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Hmph, that’s nothing. You’ll be even more jealous later.

[Notice: Congratulations to This is an Actor, Amegakure Village’s Angel, and Shark-Faced Guy for completing the world quest. Each has earned 5000 points.]

[Notice: The group leader has obtained full control over this world. Amegakure Village’s Angel and Shark-Faced Guy now have admin rights.]

Doujin Artist: Oh right, this means your world quest is finished too.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Yeah. I mean, we all saw An-kun step into godhood. Mission accomplished.

Soul Society’s Villain: But I don’t think it was just about making a god.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: It wasn’t?

Soul Society’s Villain: He used the souls of the dead to build a world powered by spiritual energy. That’s the exact theory behind how the Soul Society came to be. So what Anzen did wasn’t just about creating a god—he actually became one.

Curly-haired Guy: Hiss! As expected of the club president!

Machete Girl: So, does that mean Anzen-san has really become a god now?

This is an Actor: You could say that. But I didn’t become a god through faith. It’s more like the gods in the A Certain Magical Index world.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Is there a big difference?

This is an Actor: Gods born from faith rise to power by gathering belief from the people. After becoming a god, they form their own divine rules. But for me, and the gods in Index, it’s the opposite — we form our own rules first, then become gods. We don’t need faith to power us.

Doujin Artist: Which kind is stronger?

This is an Actor: Each has its pros and cons. Gods like me aren’t limited by world or region — we can use our full power anywhere. But faith-based gods lose a lot of power if they’re away from where people believe in them. That said, they gain divine power much faster than we do.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Sounds kind of like the difference between free-spirited immortals and official gods from the heavens?

This is an Actor: Yeah, that’s actually a pretty good comparison.

Soul Society’s Bad Guy: I’ve always wondered, does the Soul King count as a god?

This is an Actor: He used to, but he gave up his divine status. He split his divine mind into pieces and scattered them across the world, so there’s no way for him to return to godhood.

Doujin Artist: That’s weird. Why would he do that?

This is an Actor: The original story didn’t say, but I think he must’ve seen some kind of future. A future he thought was worth giving up his divine status for.

Machete Girl: Wait... could it be that he saw Anzen-san coming to his world and gave up his spot ahead of time?

Doujin Artist: Pfft! Kotonoha-chan, that’s a wild theory but kinda awesome. I, Eriri, now officially recognize you as the queen of brainpower!

Amegakure Village’s Angel: This world management thing is kind of fun. [Image]

When the image opens, it shows Konan standing above the clouds. Below her is a massive, rolling snowy mountain range.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: What the heck is this?

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Snow mountains! I made them using my admin powers. Pretty, right? You’d never see something like this in the original Naruto world.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: No, I mean that red-haired girl next to you. Don’t tell me...

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Yep, that’s Nagato.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: ?

Doujin Artist: ?

Wig Guy: Did you operate on him?

Amegakure Village’s Angel: Nope, it’s also an admin power. I just wanted him to experience what it’s like to be a girl for a bit. I’ll turn him back later.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Terrifying!

Doujin Artist: Konan-sis has a devilish side after all.

Machete Girl: So now that Anzen-san is basically the god of the ninja world, what’s next?

This is an Actor: First, I’ll get rid of all the countries and ninja villages and build a unified government. Then I’ll hold nationwide elections to pick people for every level of leadership and make sure the people have real control. Once that’s all done, my job’s finished.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: So An Gongzi is planning to just let the ninja world run on its own after that?

This is an Actor: Yeah. A new society made up of people shouldn’t need gods anymore. If we want to create happiness for humanity, we have to rely on ourselves—not some higher power.

This was the ending Aizen had planned all along. It was the final page of his whole script for the shinobi world.

Originally, group chat wasn’t part of that plan.

But even without group chat, he wouldn’t have stayed in the shinobi world. He would still have tried to break through the world’s barriers with his own strength and reach the other side.

Doujin Artist: But if you no longer care about what happens in the shinobi world, how can you be sure this new human society won’t fall apart? That it won’t end up repeating the same history all over again?

This is an Actor: You can’t be sure. But history always moves in a spiral—so long as the spark hasn’t gone out... history will eventually find its way back on track.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: So the key is that someone has to carry that spark? I get it now. Anzen-san’s actions weren’t just about peace for the shinobi world. More importantly, it was about spreading that spark.

Wig Guy: The president is so amazing! I’m so touched I’m crying!

Curly-haired Guy: Say it clearly—are you crying or peeing? Don’t go doing that out here on the street, man!

Wig Guy: Sorry, I just drank too much water earlier.

Curly-haired Guy: You were sending a message in group chat, so why the hell did you turn around!? I can’t unsee it! My eyes, Gintoki, my eyes!!

Doujin Artist: What did you see?

Curly-haired Guy: A toothpick!

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Pfft—hahaha!

Saten Ruiko clutched her stomach, laughing way too hard. That word, ”toothpick,” out of Gintoki’s mouth just hit her funny bone. She laughed so hard it almost hurt.

No reason. It just made her laugh.

And right then, a boy with brown hair jogged up to her, face completely red, and said, ”Ruiko. I, um... I bought two movie tickets for today.”

?

Saten Ruiko froze. The laughter stopped instantly.

Movie tickets? What the heck?
