”Pseudo... God Mode.”

Auric looked at the front again. His field of vision had expanded greatly.

Auric emptied his mind and focused on everything before him. After seeing everything clearly, he understood how dire the situation was. If he did nothing, the line would collapse soon.

At the same time, Auric wouldn’t be enough to handle everything. There were simply too many places requiring his help.

Auric took a deep breath and shouted, ”Katarina, Ellia, Vera!”

Katarina was the closest one, so she obviously heard him. Ellia might be the vanguard, but her battle sense was as sharp as ever. Vera couldn’t hear him, but Ellia was there to help.

Ellia grabbed the back of Vera’s collar.

Startled, Vera was trying to struggle, but she saw Ellia pointing at Auric.

Ellia and Katarina weren’t confused even though Auric’s body wasn’t covered in gray energy anymore.

The tone was like an alarm in their ears. As soon as they heard that strict tone, they knew Auric was monitoring everything.

Auric truly wished that this was just a movie. In the movie, the characters could simply shout loud enough for others to hear.

He had fought many battles, but it had never been this big. In this kind of battle, there were simply too many noises around, making it hard for them to hear.

If Auric hadn’t infused his energy into his voice earlier, Katarina and Ellia wouldn’t even have heard him.

Fortunately, they seemed to care about his safety, so they kept paying attention to him from time to time, even going all the way to spread their awareness so that they didn’t miss him.

And he intended to use it.

As soon as they gathered, Auric said, ”I will just say this once, so listen to me carefully. I will borrow Katarina’s power and shoot you a bullet to show you the spot where you have to go next.

”I want you to kill as many beasts as you can in that area within fifteen seconds or pull back after you have eased the pressure on that spot. You may choose at your discretion.

”If we don’t do this, the line will collapse and the beasts will kill us all. Understood?”

They nodded solemnly.

”Ellia, go there. Vera will go over there! Katarina, bombard that spot!” Auric pointed in three different directions in succession.”

They showed no doubt in Auric’s command, especially when Auric entered this mode.

The first spot was Ellia’s spot. Two shield users were trying their best to hold on, but no one supported them.

”Kh...”

”Just hang on!”

”Where is the fucking plane?!”

Neither of them knew where the plane was, thinking that the reinforcement would come soon. After all, the plane was supposed to have arrived right after they clashed with the beasts. Even if they hadn’t reached the rendezvous point, the boatplane should have continued onward to find them.

That was why they thought something must have happened to the plane.

Even if they couldn’t evacuate to the plane, the plane was still equipped with a lot of turrets. Some soldiers would be stationed there and could help them with their guns.

So, they should have some firepower to ease the pressure a bit. Yet, there was no plane visible.

Even if they held out, would reinforcements truly come?

Suddenly, Ellia leaped over them and slashed the beasts that attacked these two people.

”!!!” Both of them recognized Ellia, since she was the greatest sword master in their generation.

Ellia swung her sword as hard as possible, unleashing a sword strike that took down a dozen beasts at once.

With the pressure lessening, the two guys managed to catch their breath.

”Remain careful! Don’t let your guard down!”

”Y-Yes!” The two guys were startled. Before they could thank Ellia, a green light flew past her and hit another spot.

On another side, a woman screamed. ”Noooo!”

She fell to the ground after getting scratched on her arm. She couldn’t utilize her energy, so she thought she was going to die.

Fortunately, Vera cleaved the beast that almost pounced on her in two. She then stabbed the ground and caused a burst of wind that shot the hard soil toward the beasts.

Then, Vera grabbed her armor and tossed the woman to the back. ”Get her treated! I will hold this place off for some time.”

In another spot, three people had fallen onto their butts after getting pushed back by the beasts.

They were shocked when bullets started raining upon the beasts, suppressing them completely.

”Get up. You need to continue to fight!” Katarina shouted from the back. ”I will cover you until you manage to catch your breath!”

Auric noticed something. This wasn’t enough. He had utilized the three girls perfectly, but they weren’t enough to handle everything.

”Kh. I need to find more people, more reliable people...” Auric first thought about his teacher, but his teacher was rampaging on the right side. A few instructors had saved their respective spots, but some of them couldn’t do much because they were locked in a battle against a Rank 5 or a Rank 6 beast respectively.

Mr. Green had no choice but to slightly lure a Rank 6 beast away so that their battle wouldn’t affect the students.

Still, the situation was quite dire.

Auric had no other choice but to rely on other people.

Auric sent out a bullet to Ellia.

”!!!” Ellia was confused for two seconds when she saw the bullet land behind the vanguard line. No, it was actually quite close to Timothy and Clarice’s locations.

As expected from Ellia, she understood what Auric was thinking with just a single glance.

Ellia suddenly rushed toward Clarice and grabbed her. ”Talk!”

Without wasting any time, she used her Void Step and brought Clarice to Timothy.

”What are you doing?” Clarice was startled. She was still needed in front.

Timothy stopped as well, demanding an explanation. But if the explanation took too long, he would ignore it because he had to do his job.

Ellia explained briefly, ”The line is almost broken. We need to fix it. Auric will send you a signal to the spot you’re assigned to. Kill all the beasts within fifteen seconds or secure it until it’s repaired. Do it if you don’t want to die.”

Without waiting for their response, Ellia rushed back to the front to cut down some more beasts.

”What?” Clarice was startled.

Timothy glanced to the side. He might act as if he didn’t care about anything in this world, but he had a rather sharp mind.

”This spot is safe, but the other spots aren’t. We have to patch the holes that are about to form. I think it’ll be better to just follow Auric’s command.”

Timothy immediately rushed to the side while waving to Auric as if he was acknowledging his intention.

In that instant, Auric sent a bullet toward Timothy. It curved and hit the spot where he was supposed to go. As he expected, the spots were almost broken through.

Timothy didn’t question his decision any further and simply swept the beasts with his power.

Clarice witnessed everything and bit her lip. It looked like she had no other choice but to follow Auric’s orders for the time being.

In the end, the five of them ended up becoming Auric’s limbs, preventing the line from collapsing.

The ones who witnessed all this weren’t the girls on his team or the two helpers he had gotten. The instructors didn’t have time to pay attention to any individuals.

Instead, the one who could witness what Auric was truly doing was Selena, who remained in the back because she had to heal the people.

She placed her hands on an injured student’s stomach and started channeling her power, but her eyes were glued to the figure who had practically done almost everything on the battlefield.

’Is that even possible?’

Auric didn’t just send the bullets. He actually sent out his own Edict to multiple spots, bombarding them with enough firepower to give the students breathing time.

More importantly, all the injured students were also healed by him so that they could continue to fight.

’What is he? A monster? How can he do everything? A commander of an army who has fought in a hundred battles can acquire the ability to see everything that happens in their army.

’Yet, someone who is even younger than me is doing the same thing. The scale might be different, but it’s not a small scale either. There are a few hundred of us here.

’That alone is already shocking, but he’s actually doing two more things. He’s using his own abilities to strike down the enemies at the spot where the others can’t reach.

’At the same time, he’s also using his own power to actually heal the students. I’ve seen him taking care of the poison, but can he really do all this at the same time?’

Selena was completely stunned. The toll in Auric’s mind should be extremely high, but he couldn’t give up yet.

If Auric fell here, the lines would fall. Auric needed to last much longer.

’Where is the plane? Isn’t the plane supposed to bring us back?’ Selena bit her lip.

This was probably the first time she had faced such a big difference from her peers. At the same time, she lamented the fact that she hadn’t trained enough to shoot her bow while treating her patients.

What she didn’t know was that Auric did one more thing. It was a small thing, but he split his mind once more to ask a question.

’Where are the people from the organization?’
