The Genius Evolution Store

Grand Magica College.

Now that the ranking competition was over, they could finally rejoice.

”Ooohhh!” The students couldn’t help but cheer. Even the teachers couldn’t contain their shock.

”Our Grand Magica College has produced two peerless geniuses!”

”That’s right. Ellia won one, and Auric will surely dominate the evolution master competition. Hahahaha!”

”I bet the principal is popping a beer right now to celebrate in his own office.”

”I bet he is. We will probably get a massive additional budget starting next year.”

...

The mayor of Thunderer City couldn’t help but smile.

His assistant said, ”Congratulations. It looks like your choice back then was the correct one.”

”Hahahaha!” The mayor laughed. ”Who would have known that the small guy could become a gold-grade evolution master? He’s even better than that so-called youngest gold-grade evolution master.”

”He’s no longer the youngest.”

”Right? Hahahaha!” The mayor couldn’t stop himself from laughing for the next three hours. Just thinking about it puts a smile on his face.

He was the first to recognize this talent. Despite all the opposition after everyone learned that Auric had a unique element, he refused to retract Auric’s scholarship.

This meant his ability to recognize talent would be recognized by others.

It would just be smooth sailing on his political path.

...

The principal of the high school Auric attended couldn’t be any more different. Unlike those who were laughing, he didn’t even know whether he could keep his position anymore.

Auric had been the best student academically, but because he didn’t awaken any avatar, the principal pushed him aside so that Eric could take over.

Still, Auric and Eric had a good relationship, so they might not care about it, but it didn’t change the fact that he had made a bad decision.

”Ah... I regret it. Who would have known that he could even achieve all this in just a few months?” The principal let out a long sigh.

...

Kallarnos University.

The principal couldn’t help but wipe the sweat from his forehead. ”At least Kallarnos University won one, or else we would have completely lost face. However, it’s clear that something like this is possible because of Auric Elfe. Ever since he came to this university, Katarina has changed.”

The principal crossed his arms. ”Looking at this situation, I should probably prepare for her to take the student council president’s seat. The former student council president has caused quite a mess, so...”

Rose, the secretary of the student council, smiled. ”Of course, Principal. Shall I prepare it?”

”Yeah. Make sure that she can become the student council president as soon as she gets back.” The principal nodded.

”Understood.”

...

Evolution Association.

Chief Lucas couldn’t help but smile. ”Hahaha. I knew it. My decision was right. Just look at the winners—both of them have a close relationship with him. Besides, the timing of revealing his gold-grade evolution master status was perfect. They could reject the duel, but they would lose so much face by doing so. At the same time, it would just acknowledge his ability.

”Even if they rejected his challenge, it would just mean he won without lifting a hand. If they accepted, he would just crush them.”

Chief Lucas grinned. ”It took him six months to become a gold-grade evolution master. What? Is he going to take another six months to reach a diamond-grade evolution master? Considering the speed at which he is growing, I can’t just deny that possibility.”

”An 18-year-old diamond-grade evolution master. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps.” Chief Lucas rubbed his arms.

”It’s fortunate that I’ve been able to protect him all this time. The problem is what will happen next. After showing such talent, without any protection, he might die. However, giving him too much protection can hinder his growth.

”I have seen him. He’s the type of person who grows faster under pressure. The Relesha family might be protecting him, but they can’t do it too openly.

”The Astler family? It’ll be better if they don’t devour him like a hyena. It does look like their successor Ellia isn’t doing anything like that to him, but we can’t be sure about her family.

”The Schneider family? There’s already friction between them, so I will have to watch them closely. At least, it looks like he’s quite close to the family’s eldest young miss.

”Then, that information trader... Katarina sounds good, but they won’t be enough to challenge the Relesha family, the Astler family, or the Schneider family, not to mention a lot of other families.”

Chief Lucas was quite worried that Auric would end up in trouble. If he failed to reach his full potential, it would be such a waste.

”I can threaten others, but it will be a different matter if the other party doesn’t care.” Chief Lucas sighed.

”Well, I’m certainly looking at his growth. If you are a fighter, you can probably help the people close to you grow. If you are an evolution master, you will become a shepherd. Ellia, Katarina, or even Vera... those girls are just the start. He will probably influence more and more people in the future.”

...

However, unlike these figures, people on the internet viewed it differently.

[I can understand Katarina and Auric, but what about Ellia? Isn’t she just a unique-element user? Unlike Auric, she’s nothing special. Even if we support her right now, she will be stuck sooner or later.]

[I know, right? Ellia might be able to advance to Rank 3 with the help of the artifacts, but even if she exhausts all her strength, she won’t be able to advance to Rank 5. That will require the entire country to help her.]

[There’s no Rank 6 unique-element user in the world, so it will be useless to help her.]

[That’s right. She won simply because a unique element has an advantage against other elements of the same rank, but she will fall off soon.]

[It’s a shame, but this is the peak achievement she will get.]

[Rather than wasting their resources on her, it’s better to just focus on other people.]

They were bashing Ellia simply because of her element. Auric’s element had been vouched for by Chief Lucas, so people believed that Auric might not be limited by the usual restriction.

Ellia, on the other hand, was a Trillionaire. Not many people liked rich people, not to mention the fact that she was only 18 years old.

They thought Ellia had reached this level simply because of her money. In the end, there would be things that money alone couldn’t buy.

That was why they believed it would be a waste to honor Ellia.

Unbeknownst to them, there was a group of people who were actually saying the opposite thing about this.

That was none other than the Unique Temple Group Chat.

[Just look at them bashing Ellia. She has achieved this much, right? Shouldn’t she also receive a chance?]

[I know, right? Considering that she is Rank 3 right now, maybe she will be invited to this group in the next batch?]

[Asking the saintess whether Ellia Stroph Astler will be invited to the group with the other Rank 3 humans.]

[Man, I’m having a hard time controlling myself. I just want to let them understand that we’re not like we used to be. When our people start reaching Rank 6, they won’t be able to look down on us anymore.]

[Don’t worry. I have been praying to the sun for our future every day.]

[We should set up a daily prayer at this rate.]

[That’s a good idea.]

The people in the Unique Temple simply knew that a unique-element evolution master had appeared. With such an existence, there was simply no longer a roadblock for everyone.

Besides, they didn’t even need to be treated directly. They only needed to be careful while absorbing the energy.

It was true that the risk was high. Eventually, someone would end up making a mistake and passing 100%, but those who succeeded would still believe that their ’Sun’ had done everything he could to help them.

However, Ellia wasn’t in this group yet.

Katarina and Auric saw the comments on the internet.

Auric looked at Katarina. She shrugged. ”It will be fine. Ellia is not the type of person who will care about this. Besides, I think we should do what those people are suggesting, at least to make it less suspicious.”

Auric nodded in agreement. ”All right. I will talk to Ellia about it.”

”Yeah. I’m compiling the list for the next batch of recruitment. I will discuss it with your teacher once everything has been sorted out.”

”Sure.” Auric smiled.

”By the way, it looks like the fish has taken the bait.” Katarina smiled while showing her phone notification.

”Hoh?” Auric looked a bit excited.

...

A few minutes later.

Auric and Katarina walked toward a secluded spot in the hotel park, where they found a man with his head hanging low.. Next to him was a bottle of whiskey, but he hadn’t touched it yet.

This person was none other than Timothy Wellington.

”Hi!” Katarina waved her hand cheerfully.

Timothy raised his head. As he expected, the ’friend’ she was talking about was Auric.

”I expected this, but I didn’t think it would really be you. I guess being able to find my weakness at first glance shows that you are special.” Timothy looked at Auric with a sigh.

”I don’t mind if you think that way, but that’s not the reason you’re here, right?” Auric waved his hand, gesturing for him to just cut to the chase.

Timothy looked at the sky before saying, ”In the past, my private life wasn’t this messy. I might drink, but I only drank on special occasions, not every single day. I would say I’m a romantic person since I already have... or had a fiancee. It all started from that day...”
