The Genius Evolution Store

A lot of people were standing up from the sheer pressure of this attack. This kind of attack had gone beyond the level of what a normal Rank 4 student could do, let alone a Rank 2 student.

The dragon released another burst of energy that felt like it was plunging the world into complete darkness.

Most students shivered, knowing that they couldn’t stop this kind of attack.

Timothy clenched his hands into fists. ”How do you even release something like this?”

Even Merlin, who was watching the livestream, turned grim. ”He’s actually combining all of them at once to unleash this kind of power?”

The referees panicked and rushed toward Alexander. They originally thought the best Auric could do was push Alexander back a few meters.

However, they were wrong. Auric was much stronger than they could even imagine.

Alexander’s eyes turned bloodshot. He gritted his teeth and crossed his arms forward. ”Thunder God Tyrant Body!”

The dragon let out another roar before it swallowed Alexander and exploded. The burst of black lightning shattered the arena’s floor and cracked the wall.

One referee rushed to stop the destruction, while some instructors rushed to the arena. ”Alexander!”

Supervisor Jacob was also going, trying to stop them.

Auric had warned Alexander to release everything he had in the beginning, so it was Alexander’s fault if he was caught unprepared. Even if he had been prepared, this attack wasn’t that easy to block.

Katarina sucked in a cold breath. ”Seriously, this guy...”

Katarina knew Auric was strong, but this was the first time she had seen the limit to Auric’s Edict. All this time, Auric had been using their language, but because he had uninterrupted time to write down his Edicts, the ability was elevated to a whole new level.

”You know all this?!” Vera pointed at the stage, demanding an explanation from Katarina.

”Would you believe me if I say no? I’m not actually worried about his firepower. I know that he has it in him, but the problem is what he will do next.” Katarina shook her head helplessly.

She was probably the only one who knew what Auric wanted.

Auric had gathered the weather element. If he really used his Edict and combined it with his Weather element, Auric might be able to create a massive storm that flooded the entire city or caused a tornado big and strong enough to sweep everything in its path.

In other words, to destroy a single city, he might only need to use one battle technique. At that point, Auric was basically a walking disaster.

Katarina felt a chill down her spine just thinking about it. At the same time, she also got a bit excited.

If Auric could achieve that much, no one would say her decision was incorrect. No, she could proudly flex her position as the first person who became Auric’s subordinate.

Katarina witnessed the black lightning being gradually contained as its color returned to normal.

To everyone’s surprise, the referees were actually two meters away from Alexander as though they weren’t even trying to stop this attack.

It wasn’t because they were shocked by Auric’s power or didn’t dare to block it.

At the last moment, Alexander actually said, ”Don’t you dare stop it! A man never backs down!”

At the last moment, his energy erupted one more time, dispersing the black lightning with his own lightning.

What remained was Alexander standing in the middle of the arena. His body was covered in blood. His clothes were almost shredded completely.

”That’s...”

”Alexander... is he okay?”

”He’s not dead, right?”

They wondered what had just happened. The instructors from Lech-Aistia couldn’t help but shout, ”Esfrataaaa!”

”How dare you?!”

Supervisor Jacob just shrugged. ”What do you mean? Auric had given him the chance, but he didn’t take it.”

Suddenly, Alexander’s body started moving. His movements were slow and weak, but they confirmed that he was still alive.

”!!!” Their eyes lit up, thinking that the situation hadn’t reached the worst-case scenario.

”Alexander!”

”Hurry up and take him to the infirmary.”

”Heal him!”

Before they could reach him, Alexander was actually moving his hand toward the pocket of his pants that hadn’t been destroyed. He took out his sunglasses with his trembling hand before putting the cracked sunglasses on and crossing his arms.

After that movement, he completely stopped moving.

”What the—”

”What is he doing? Did he just reach out for his sunglasses?”

”Wait. Did he pass out?”

Everyone was completely confused. Alexander looked good when he was moving entirely with his willpower after receiving that kind of attack.

Yet, he actually used that bit of power he had left to put on sunglasses, the same sunglasses that he wore all the time to ”protect the sun from his eyes.”

They didn’t know how to react.

”He’s trying to cover his injuries with sunglasses and act as if nothing happened after receiving that kind of attack. At least he didn’t change his mind and avoid that attack. In the end, he is still standing even though his consciousness has slipped away.”

”Well, that’s kind of cool. No, wait. What am I saying? Nothing happened, right?”

”Yeah. Nothing happened. I saw nothing.”

”Isn’t he just a fool?”

”He is a fool.”

There was an argument about how the match went, but no one disputed Auric’s victory. How could they even argue after seeing that level of power coming from a Rank 2 student?

”He’s fine! He has passed out and his vitals are weak, but he will survive!” The healer gave confirmation to the instructors from Lech-Aistia.

Once they felt relieved, the instructors couldn’t help but discuss the more technical aspects about the technique.

”Seriously. What was the technique Auric used earlier? It felt like he was combining so many battle techniques at once.”

”Yes. It felt like each line was a battle technique on its own. Then, he combined them into a single battle technique.”

”That power... It’s already at the level of peak Rank 4. He can unleash something at that level when he’s only at Rank 2. How much stronger will he become after a few years?”

”No, no. Even though that power is amazing, the time it takes to unleash it is too long. If you use that kind of ability when you fight someone, your opponent will easily distract you.”

”I know, right? If you take a few minutes to prepare, the opponent will be able to react. There’s no way they’re going to take that kind of attack willingly like Alexander.”

”But won’t it be good for assassination and stuff?”

”Not really. When he builds up that power, the energy creates enough pressure that will alert the target of the assassination. At that time, Auric will simply have no chance to launch a sneak attack. In other words, that ability is more like a bomb that requires being set up first.”

”That power is amazing, but the biggest flaw is the time required to unleash it.”

”That’s true, but what about the fact that such might is achievable by a Rank 2 student?”

”Not Rank 2. He’s using the power of his dark element. With the elemental fusion, the lightning element has also become Rank 3. That means he’s a Rank 3 human for that one attack, but he’s able to unleash a power at the peak of Rank 4... at the level of mastering one’s transformation.”

”If you think about it, there is one specific situation where he can unleash that kind of power.”

”What is it?”

”What if the enemies are too distracted by other things to stop Auric from unleashing this kind of power? For example, what if there are people who are protecting him from those beasts? Then, he will unleash that might to crush their enemies? He’s not going to fight solo all the time, right?”

”!!!”

The instructors suddenly remembered one thing. In this training program, they needed to share a room with three other people.

The same applied to Auric, so it technically became his group. They then thought about Auric’s group. He had Katarina, Vera, and Ellia.

Looking at Vera’s power, she could fight pretty well as a vanguard. Although she lost to Clarice, she was still considered one of the strongest Rank 3 students. Everyone had already recognized her power after that match.

Ellia, on the other hand, claimed the top spot in the Rank 3 competition. In other words, she was the strongest Rank 3 student in this training program. She hadn’t fought Clarice yet, but it didn’t diminish her achievement. Her role was also a vanguard.

Last but not least, Katarina. Katarina was good at both offense and defense. More importantly, Katarina had her ”Sanctuary.” It was a defense system that orbited her, but she could also use it to attack.

When they thought about the composition of this group, they shivered. Ellia and Vera would do well as vanguards. They were at least strong enough to stop anything from coming toward Auric.

If the enemies could somehow overwhelm them, Katarina could use her power to support them. At the same time, her Sanctuary would also keep Auric safe. In other words, she would act as a buffer zone to stop anyone from reaching Auric, but also support the vanguard.

Then, Auric would fulfill the role of a main attacker. He was the firepower of the team. Because of his team, Auric could use his Edict without worrying about someone attacking him. Once that power was unleashed, his enemies would die.

In other words, Auric had just formed a team that would fit him perfectly. They wondered how they would even fight this kind of team.

What they didn’t realize was that Auric had also considered Gloria and Eric. Eric was a good all-rounder, while Gloria was an excellent vanguard.

However, judging from the situation, it was unlikely that he could form a team with Eric many times. In addition, he wasn’t that close to Vera either, considering she might choose to support Eric. That meant Vera’s role would be taken over by Gloria, which ended up solidifying this four-man team further.

All of them looked at Auric and realized how terrifying he truly was. This time, Supervisor Jacob also shuddered in fear. He had just realized the same thing. It made him realize that the training camp might just be Auric playing around.

If he had truly unleashed everything he had from the beginning, the pride of all their geniuses might be crushed.

On the other hand, Auric had reinforced their solidarity through that marathon. In addition, fighting here had also strengthened their relationship as compatriots. So, the backlash from revealing his power wouldn’t be that significant. Rather, they might cheer for him so that they could win in this training program.

Meanwhile, Auric was simply standing in the arena, looking at Alexander with a cold gaze after he unleashed that brutal strike and shattered everyone’s expectations.

More importantly, the cameraman was actually capturing everything from the start, ending the broadcast with Auric’s cold gaze, and the viewers went crazy again.
