”...” The calm expression on Alexander’s face turned solemn. However, he soon laughed and grinned. ”Hahaha. This is interesting. You’re really interesting. In this world, there is nothing I can’t conquer!”

Alexander leaped forward and gathered everything he had in his fist one more time.

”Haaaaa!” Alexander punched forward.

Katarina waved her fingers. The circles were rotating until they created a line. The spheres and blades had turned into adamantine shields.

Alexander broke the first one, but his fist had become significantly weaker when he hit the second one. Then, there was still a third shield. Ultimately, he stopped at the fourth shield.

As soon as he stopped, Katarina snapped her fingers.

”!!!” Alexander widened his eyes and jumped into the air.

Suddenly, his body was cut again. He was quite stunned. If he had remained there, he would have been cut into pieces.

When he looked down, he saw the circles actually spinning vertically. ’It rotates in three dimensions?’

There was basically nothing that could stop it. The ground was also being cut. She was practically invincible in this domain. This was the domain she intended to use to protect Auric.

However, she didn’t stop here. She waved her fingers again.

Suddenly, the rings lined up one more time. There were five spheres lined up. ”Fire.”

The first sphere flew forward, hitting the second one. They combined and hit the third one and combined again. It repeated until all five spheres combined and unleashed a powerful beam that had gone beyond a mere attack.

This might also be why she created this technique. She wanted something flexible through which she could fuse her power.

She once used it to create a bullet so strong that it could heavily injure a Rank 4 beast. This time, it was no different.

”Haaaaa!” Alexander joined both hands and swung them as if he was swinging a hammer.

The lightning sparked as the clash turned the world into two colors, the black color from adamantine and the white color from the lightning.

Alexander actually deflected that power away. The instructor hurriedly leaped into the air and blocked it so that this attack didn’t hit the city.

Unfortunately for Alexander, his ordeal hadn’t finished yet. ”I think you’ve forgotten something.”

Katarina smiled. She snapped her fingers. All the remaining objects on the ring had turned into swords. They then flew into the air.

That’s right. Katarina’s original ability was bullets. In other words, she was using these swords as bullets this time.

All these swords were flying from all directions, surrounding Alexander.

”Muscle!” Alexander tried to release his lightning to block them, but these swords concentrated so much energy that he simply couldn’t compete.

He didn’t understand how she was able to gather this much energy.

Then again, he didn’t know that Katarina was the third person to possess an SS grade affinity.

His lightning destroyed some swords, but some swords managed to reach him, piercing the two arms and the side of his stomach.

”Gah!” Alexander spat a mouthful of blood as he landed on the ground.

To his surprise, the moment he reached the ground, all the objects that had been fired away had actually been restored.

Yes, the reason Katarina was tricky to defeat was that Katarina always formed her bullets again and again. With the complex system she had created, she usually overwhelmed her opponents with her firepower.

On the off chance her opponent attacked, she utilized her extreme defense and brought them despair.

Her new technique perfectly matched all aspects of her character, power, experience, roles, and desires. It was all achievable because she gained sharper senses from her SS-grade affinity, as well as having a good boss who helped her master the fusion technique.

Katarina smiled. ”Now, let’s end this fight, shall we?”

”...” Alexander turned grim. This was the first time he had encountered this kind of opponent.

Lindwurm was amazed by Katarina’s growth. ”I would say that after having the SS grade affinity, her potential has become terrifying. She might even rival those Rank 7 humans in the world in the near future. If she continues to develop at this speed, I can’t even imagine what will happen next.”

Auric just glanced at him without saying anything. The way Lindwurm spoke, it sounded as if he had encountered those Rank 7 humans. Besides, he kept mentioning the Joker in the past.

At the very least, he must have known about Joker’s power. There was a chance for his father to be the Joker himself, but the Joker’s official element was earth, so he had some doubts.

Still, the fact that Lindwurm could say something like this made him believe that his father was either a Rank 6 human who was extremely close to Rank 7 or even a Rank 7 human himself.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t figure out anything else. Besides, he didn’t want to waste his time on that since Katarina was still fighting.

”Hahahaha! This is the first time I’ve been pushed back this hard.” Alexander could still laugh. ”You are the first, Lady. That begs the question.”

”...” Katarina frowned.

”Would you like to be my girlfriend?”

”...”

”...”

”...”

There was an unexpected silence in the arena as they simply couldn’t believe what they had just heard. It was so ridiculous that they felt like cleaning their ears just to listen to it again to make sure they heard it right.

Katarina, on the other hand, was already used to this kind of conversation, especially with the two honest gremlins in her group. Auric and Ellia simply said anything they liked, no matter how ridiculous it sounded.

So, Katarina remained calm and gave an immediate answer. ”Sorry, but you are not my type. Besides, my expectations have risen due to a certain guy.”

Auric scratched the back of his head. He felt like people were going to start hating him again.

However, the others were simply in disbelief. To think they would witness a confession and a rejection in the middle of the match.

”Hahahaha! You know nothing. When you get older, you will know that someone like me is much better at protecting you! I shall prove it!” Alexander laughed in excitement. He released everything he had.

For one last time, he charged toward Katarina.

Katarina formed the shield again, intending to stop him.

However, this charge was different from the one she had faced so far.

The moment he struck the first one, the lightning energy in his fist burst, causing everything around it to shatter. The ground cracked, and even the objects Katarina made broke into pieces.

”!!!” Katarina was taken aback. Alexander intended to destroy everything with his power.

The second shield broke.

Then, the third shield shattered one second later.

Katarina could feel the overwhelming lightning energy that was trying to destroy everything in its path.

Realizing that the charge was somewhat different, Katarina immediately spun the first three outer rings. Since their shields had shattered, she could definitely spin the rings and bring even more swords to cut him.

Alexander’s energy burst one more time, shattering not only the fourth shield but also the incoming swords from the sides.

”Haaaaa!” Alexander roared as he gave one last push, trying to destroy the last shield.

Unfortunately for him, this wasn’t enough to pierce through her defense.

When the fifth shield started to crack, Katarina sped up the other rings, trying to tear him into pieces, but the referee’s voice immediately echoed from the distance.

”Stoppp!”

”...” Katarina abruptly stopped her power and noticed something. Alexander had stopped moving. He had passed out.

Katarina couldn’t help but furrow her eyebrows. It looked like Alexander managed to push her so much that she didn’t even realize her opponent had already lost consciousness.

”Katarina Vasilyevna from Esfrata won!” The referee secured Alexander while announcing the result.

”Uooohhhh!” The people couldn’t help but cheer. In the end, Katarina won, despite only being a third-year student. Not only was she younger than Alexander or other Rank 4 students representing their countries, but her power was also already at an unimaginable level.

Katarina muttered, ”Such a shame. If it was Auric, this kind of defense wouldn’t be enough to stop him.”

Katarina closed her eyes and walked away.

”Amazing. So, this is Katarina!”

”To think there is such a terrifying monster in Esfrata. Rather than Auric Elfe, we should have paid attention to her.”

”What is that technique? That power basically makes her invincible at the same rank.”

Dermania and all other countries were simply too shocked by the power Katarina had shown. It was beyond the level of a Rank 4 student.

”I never thought she had that kind of potential. I really want to make her my disciple now.” Mr. Green smirked.

”I doubt you will have that chance. People are going to snatch her from you.” Supervisor Jacob chuckled. ”I mean, even someone like me is having a hard time restraining myself from recruiting her.”

”But I heard she has become Auric Elfe’s subordinate...” Mr. Green narrowed his eyes. ”I’m just afraid that this role will end up restricting her in the future.”

”I don’t know about that. I inquired of Maya about it, but according to her, Katarina was the one requesting it.”

”Really?” Mr. Green couldn’t believe it, but he remained silent as if he were thinking about this matter carefully.

Katarina returned to her seat as Auric was clapping his hands. ”Congratulations. You’re so strong.”

”You jest.” Katarina chuckled. ”We all know that you can simply ignore that power of mine.”

Katarina was talking about God Mode. If Auric utilized God Mode, he could not only read every single ring and object, but he could even see through its trajectory.

Still, the fact that Auric required God Mode to defeat her in the same rank was enough to prove her ability.

At the same time, he understood what Katarina meant by creating this power.

With his God Mode, he could ignore this ability despite being protected by it. In other words, he could launch an attack from the inside. By combining their powers, they would become a walking fortress.

Auric asked, ”So, you’re not going to accept his confession?”

”I already rejected it. What? Are you jealous?” Katarina grinned, teasing Auric.

”I have already said that having a relationship right now will just slow down the speed at which I draw my blade. So, I haven’t thought about it yet.” Auric shook his head.

”Blade? You mean a dagger?”

”You won’t be able to know whether it’s a dagger, a short sword, or a long sword before you unsheathe it, and I don’t plan to draw it anytime soon.” Auric shook his head. ”Also, stop talking about this. I am 17.”

”Pfft! Okay, boss. I love how hard you’re trying to be innocent even if you’re not.” Katarina covered her mouth, having a hard time containing her laughter.

Auric just let out a long sigh. At the very least, Katarina was still in a condition where she could laugh like this after such a fight.

And it was time for the last match before the final. He doubted there would be a match to determine third place, considering Alexander had lost consciousness.

Nevertheless, the match between Pure Water Element and Sun Element was about to begin.
