Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 359: System: No Bugs Allowed

Dominic had not expected Luis to be so cautious, just as he had not expected Luis to voluntarily choose mediation.

After all, young people are at their most impulsive. Being provoked and threatened repeatedly since last night would make even a saint furious, so how could anyone possibly tolerate it.

Moreover, Luis was no soft target either. He had powerful backing like Sebastian Ye.

Honestly, Dominic felt that having his son spend a year or two in jail to buy some peace and allow the other party to vent their anger was not a bad idea. It would also serve to teach him a lesson.

Bella shared the same thought. In the eyes of the Taiga and Leon families, this was an iron wall they should not have kicked. Now that they had kicked it, things would definitely not end peacefully.

Young people inevitably have tempers, and considering Waller’s perspective, cutting their losses was undoubtedly Dominic’s best option, especially since he had more than just this one son.

”Please confirm the amount, one moment.”

Winslet was examining the contract page by page with great focus. She wore the kind of black suit lawyers often favor, with a white shirt underneath.

The style of her short skirt was quite ordinary, yet she possessed a pair of long, straight, and beautiful legs. The black stockings she wore, combined with her low heels, turned even this standard professional attire into something subtly sexy, infused with an air of scholarly elegance.

Her hair was elegantly tied up in a bun, and a pair of gold-rimmed glasses rested on her delicate nose, radiating a clever and intelligent aura that was full of captivating, intellectual beauty.

”The Cayenne and the Nissan, total compensation is 137 thousand dollars. After this amount is transferred, both vehicles will belong to Mr. Taiga.”

”As for the severe impact caused by David’s actions, Mr. Taiga will pay 10,000 dollars in compensation and obtain my client’s forgiveness.”

”The contract takes effect once the transfer is completed.”

After reviewing the mediation agreement, compensation agreement, and letter of understanding, Winslet nodded to confirm everything was in order.

Strangely, Dominic felt somewhat uneasy. He actually wished Luis would demand an exorbitant amount of compensation.

After all, while 10,000 dollars might seem like a lot to some, in Dominic’s eyes it was a mere drop in the bucket. Compensating for such a severe incident with such a small sum left him feeling profoundly uncertain.

With such a paltry amount, he wondered not only whether Luis would truly be appeased, but also how he would explain it to Hail. Even when dismissing a beggar, one shouldn’t be so miserly.

”This... If Mr. Luis is unsatisfied with the amount, we can certainly discuss it further.”

Dominic, truly uneasy, couldn’t help speaking up again.

Luis simply shook his head, picked up the pen, signed the contract, and said nonchalantly, ”It’s enough!”

Luis still held onto his small-town citizen mentality, his principle being to avoid trouble whenever possible.

What angered him most was the loss of this perfectly good weekend. It was rare for his wife and Mother In Law to be away, offering a chance to get closer to his sister in law and her best friend. That was the real frustration.

”Congratulations, my disciple! Looks like you’re getting a new car again.”

Winslet joked as she drove, adding, ”President Ben seems quite reasonable, doesn’t he? I really wouldn’t have guessed.”

She seemed to have a favorable impression, but Luis could only roll his eyes.

None of those local bullies were pushovers. If not for the advantage provided by his father’s special influence, an ordinary commoner would likely have been either beaten to death by David or utterly destroyed by his schemes.

And then where could one turn for justice? Their reputation for having connections both in lawful and unlawful circles was certainly not unearned.

”He’s alright. The old man is too ill to cause any more trouble now, he just wants to settle things quickly.”

Luis couldn’t be bothered to explain further. Winslet seemed to be in quite good spirits today, though she also appeared somewhat preoccupied.

After a brief chat, he learned that his esteemed Teacher Blanche had been very busy lately, primarily because she was preparing to start her own practice.

The senior lawyer who had originally mentored her had too many and too varied people under his wing. Before, it was manageable due to their teacher-student relationship, which afforded her some consideration.

But now that senior lawyer was focusing on promoting his relatives, younger generations, and his own family’s children. The cases trickling down to her were those with low fees and high hassle, many being disputes with almost no chance of success.

Winslet was a very decisive woman. She stated seriously, ”I’ve made plenty of money for him over all these years. If this continues, I won’t be able to establish myself in this profession.”

”Teacher Blanche, if you need any help with this, just say the word.”

Luis immediately thumped his chest earnestly. ”Whatever you need, if it’s within my power, I won’t refuse.”

Winslet looked at Luis and smiled faintly. ”You’re not even a law student, why would you be interested in this?”

Luis grinned and said, ”I just have faith that if I hold tightly to Teacher Blanche’s impressive connections, there’s sure to be money to be made.”

His words were playful, but held a hint of teasing. He kept calling her ’Teacher Blanche’, but in reality, this sophisticated young married woman wasn’t much older than Luis.

Winslet gave a charming smile and chided playfully, ”Your mouth is getting more and more dishonest these days.”

”Let’s see. I’m in the preparation stages. I need to bring at least a few capable intern lawyers with me.”

Winslet sighed. ”This profession isn’t as straightforward and honorable as you might think. Beyond ability, you also need the skill to source cases... It’s complicated, not something easily explained in a short time.”

”Regardless, if Teacher Blanche needs anything, come to me first. As long as I can do it, I definitely won’t make excuses.”

”At least you still have a conscience.”

After returning to the community, Winslet left first. Luis stretched and pondered, since he would be home alone tonight, whether he should stay at Chloe’s place or go find Blanche.

Just then, a notification came through on his phone. A transfer of 147,000 dollars had arrived in his account.

But simultaneously, the System’s prompt sounded in his mind:

”Ding... Task update for the tall, sexy sister in law.”

”Ding... Hidden mission benefit activated. The vanity fund for sister in law has been reduced by 147,000 dollars. Current accumulated mission fund: 129,000 dollars.”

Damn, Luis never expected the System to be so strict this time.

The moment the money arrived, it was immediately deducted from the mission fund. It seemed finding loopholes wouldn’t be easy now.

He was just mulling this over when someone tapped him on the shoulder, giving Luis a real start.

Perhaps because he’d been on guard against David these past couple of days, he was a bit jumpy, and this sudden contact genuinely frightened him.

”I’m not that scary, am I!”

Standing there, draped in a purple trench coat, Bella looked utterly enchanting, a brilliantly bright smile gracing her features.

There was no denying she was a stunningly beautiful creature. Her sexy figure was in no way inferior to his ethereal sister in law, and coupled with her aura of authority and wealth, she might even have the upper hand.

Luis collected himself and said irritably, ”Do you walk without making a sound? What do you want?”

”If you don’t mind, let’s talk in my office!”

Bella pointed towards the property management office.

Luis frowned: ”Your office???”

”The property management for Phase 1 of Central Garden belongs to the Leon family, Phase 2 belongs to the Taiga family. That shouldn’t be a secret.”

”The property management for Phase 1 of Central Garden belongs to the Leon family, Phase 2 belongs to the Taiga family. That shouldn’t be a secret.”

Bella said gently, ”It’s just a talk. Don’t worry, I’m not a mad dog like David.”

”Mad dogs like that are straightforward, which makes them almost endearing. What’s truly frightening are venomous women who scheme against you from the shadows with their sinister tricks.”

Luis spoke bluntly, his words laced with sarcasm and pointed jabs.
