Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 756 Strange Beasts

Kyle was alone again.

ʼThis is going to be insanely dangerous. We are searching for insanely difficult True Battles. Thereʼs a high chance that Swamp Dragon wonʼt make it.ʼ

Kyle took a deep breath. ʼIt sucks, but he also wants to get stronger. Also, Iʼm doing the same thing. Itʼs not like I will definitely survive.ʼ

ʼAnyway, I should focus on my future opponent. For now, I should try fighting a Mid Crusher Divine Beast. Those are about as powerful as Fulfilled Crushers. A Late Crusher Divine Beast should have a similar level of power as my future opponent, which means I should avoid those for now.ʼ

Kyle took out the Divine Beast Detector and activated it.

A moment later, he saw countless arrows pointing in all directions. The arrows all had different colors, which corresponded to their Realm.

Kyle was searching for blue arrows since those represented the Compression Realm.

After changing the settings, Kyle only saw blue arrows.

ʼThere are about 30 of them on this Planet. Sadly, while the device can detect their Realm from a distance, I need to get closer to see their specific level.ʼ

Kyle looked at the arrow leading to the closest Divine Beast.

ʼMight as well start with you.ʼ

Kyle shot into the distance, rapidly moving towards his target.

The Planet was relatively big with a diameter of over 50,000 kilometers. Its gravitational influence was quite strong. Only powerful Transcendents or weak Primals could leave its influence with their own power.

After flying for a bit, Kyle saw the arrow confirming the beastʼs power.

ʼEarly Crusher Divine Beast,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼA bit too weak.ʼ

However, Kyle was a bit curious. He had never seen a Divine Beast before, and he wanted to know what they looked like.

So, he kept going towards his target.

A bit later, his Energy Sense picked up a dense mass of Energy. The weight of the Energy was only about as strong as someone in the Medium Crusher Realm, but for some reason, the Energy felt special.

It felt more refined.

More efficient.

As he got closer, he could finally paint a picture of his target based on the feedback his Energy Sense gave him.

The beast was completely purple and was covered in chitin. It was only 100 meters big, which was tiny for a Crusher Beast. The beast moved on four legs and had a muscular body.

Its head was rather flat, and its snout was quite long. Two additional, sickle-like appendages grew out of the upper part of its back. From what Kyle could see,~ these appendages could stretch forward quite a bit.

ʼIʼve never seen such a beast,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼThis doesnʼt look like anything I could find on Earth. Maybe a mantis would be the closest comparison, but it doesnʼt entirely fit. If you remove a mantisʼ upper body, put its head onto its abdomen, and move its arms to its back, you could probably somewhat recreate this thing.ʼ

As Kyle looked at the creature, he noticed a couple of things.

ʼThe joints of its sickle-like appendages can rotate by almost 270° towards either side. Since they can stretch for quite a bit, they can essentially hit anything that approaches or touches the body. Its entire body is under the protection of these things.ʼ

ʼThereʼs no blind spot. No matter how you approach it, the sickles will be able to target you.ʼ

ʼIts most powerful weapon is essentially always between you and your target.ʼ

ʼMost beasts have some kind of weak spot. For example, wolves have difficulties in dealing with enemies on their backs. For snakes, only their head and tail are dangerous. Attack their body, and they have difficulties.ʼ

ʼBut this thing has no weak spots.ʼ

ʼI can see why itʼs a Divine Beast.ʼ

After looking at the Divine Beast from a distance for a bit, Kyle left again.

ʼGotta search for a Mid Crusher Divine Beast. The fight shouldnʼt be too difficult, but it might also count as a very easy True Battle. Getting more familiar with Divine Beasts might ensure my survival when I fight a stronger one.ʼ

Kyle traveled back and forth, looking at different Divine Beasts.

Most of them were Initial or Early Crusher Divine Beasts.

However, the fifth beast he went to actually was a Peak Divine Beast.

The Divine Beast noticed Kyle just when he noticed it.

Luckily, it just gave Kyle a cursory glance before ignoring him again.

The reason was obvious.

Kyle was not a threat.

When the Peak Crusher Divine Beast looked away again, Kyle released a breath.

ʼThis thing is brutally strong,ʼ he thought as his instincts kept shouting at him to run away.

ʼIʼve never seen a Unique Crusher, but Iʼm honestly not sure if they are actually this strong. If this thing decides to attack me, I will die.ʼ

Naturally, Kyle retreated rather quickly and went to the next one.

Finally, after a bit of searching, he found a Mid Divine Beast.

He quickly approached it, and moments later, he could also properly sense it with his Energy Sense.

Once more, the Divine Beast didnʼt look like anything one would find on Earth.

It essentially looked like a ball of centipedes.

If one looked at it, one would think that eight centipedes were rolled into a ball, with their heads pointing out from different spots.

However, thanks to Kyleʼs Energy Sense, he could actually make sense of this weird thing.

There was a small body in the middle of the ball, and all of the centipede bodies grew out of it. The body didnʼt have any legs, but it looked extremely muscular and tough.

Based on the muscles, Kyle could tell that it could control all the centipede heads like arms. In a way, the body worked like a huge set of chest and back muscles.

Thanks to his Law of Minor Soul, Kyle could also see the Energy Pathways of the Divine Beast.

ʼIts brain and Beast Core are actually directly beside each other. There are no essential pathways I can attack. Even more, the heads completely cover its body. If I want to kill it, I have to hit its body, and if I want to hit its body, I have to destroy a couple of heads.ʼ

Kyleʼs brows furrowed.

ʼHowever, beasts can recover from physical injuries just as quickly as I can. If I destroy a head, it will regrow before I can destroy a second one.ʼ

ʼEven worse, its heads are so massive that the power of my attack wonʼt be able to travel all the way to its Beast Core. I literally can not kill it in one strike, despite my extreme level of attack power.ʼ

Kyle took a deep breath.

The enemy didnʼt feel overly dangerous, but it still felt a bit threatening.

If he were careless, he might die.

ʼIf I keep thinking about how amazing this thing is, I might decide not to attack.ʼ

Kyle pulled out his hammer.

ʼJust jump into the cold water!ʼ

Then, Kyle charged forward, and as he approached the Divine Beast, it also noticed him.

To the Divine Beast, Kyle felt overwhelmingly dangerous, but not unbeatable.

These odds were acceptable.

CRACK!

The pincers of two of its heads rammed into the ground.

Its muscles tensed, and within an instant, the two heads catapulted the ball of centipedes towards Kyle.

Surprisingly, it was actually a bit faster than Kyle.
