Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 755 Power Difference

ʼThis tree is magnificent,ʼ Kyle thought as he looked at it in awe.

This was the biggest lifeform he had ever seen. Even though he was so far away, he could imagine standing in front of the gigantic roots.

ʼI donʼt see any huge beasts, though. As far as I know, there should be several powerful beasts around this place as well. At least, the database said that there were a bunch of them in this area.ʼ

Compared to humans, beasts didnʼt build huge empires and kingdoms.

Sure, there were some big tribes occasionally, but they rarely encompassed more than a couple of Planets.

Beasts primarily focused on their own power, while humans often also sought status, peace, happiness, and wealth.

Individual beasts often had territories, but they constantly shifted, and the beasts didnʼt always stay in one place. In a way, they didnʼt even consider their territories as their territories. It was just an area in which they stayed for a while.

While the two humans looked at the tree, they felt the Energy in their surroundings shaking.

Kyleʼs sense followed the source of the shockwaves and saw two distant beasts fighting in the middle of space.

It was difficult to discern how far away they were. Kyleʼs Energy Sense couldnʼt stretch as far as his sight.

Yet, when he saw the distant beasts, his instincts told him one thing.

Danger.

Extreme danger.

These two beasts were obviously far above his level.

ʼLuckily, powerful beasts donʼt care about weaker beings,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼTo them, we are just ants. They might accidentally step on us, but theyʼre not doing it on purpose.ʼ

The fight between the two beasts ended very quickly. The victor consumed the defeated beast and continued flying through the empty space.

The victorious beast vanished from Kyleʼs sight within barely a second, which was crazy, considering the distance.

ʼThat thing probably moved at speeds of about 100,000 kilometers per second or something. Wonder how it feels to move at such speeds. Like, as far as I know, the speed of light isnʼt different here.ʼ

ʼIʼve heard that powerful Ascendants can break the speed of light. Iʼve also heard that sight is basically useless while fighting at such speeds. You can only make sense of the world by using your Energy Sense.ʼ

ʼI mean, in a way, Iʼm already mostly relying on my Energy Sense during a fight. It just feels more accurate.ʼ

”We should be safe, right?” Swamp Dragon asked suddenly, pulling Kyle out of his thoughts.

”We should be, ” Kyle answered. ”The guide said that the most powerful beasts rarely live on Planets due to their power. Theyʼre just flying through space, searching for other beasts. From what I know, you canʼt find Wisdom Beasts on most Planets. Crusher Beasts are the strongest beasts you can usually find on Planets.”

”So, in a way, there shouldnʼt be too many powerful beasts on this Planet. As long as we stay on a Planet, we are among the elite.”

Swamp Dragon nodded. ”Whatʼs our plan? Do we search for fitting beasts separately, or do we search for a stronger one that we will fight together?”

”Honestly, not sure,” Kyle answered with a shrug. ”Thereʼs good and bad stuff. If we fight a stronger beast together, we technically have to go through fewer battles, but the fight will be a bit awkward.”

Swamp Dragon didnʼt comment.

Kyle had worded it very nicely, but Swamp Dragon understood the hidden message.

He didnʼt like to admit it, but he had to.

It was a fact that Swamp Dragon was a lot weaker than Kyle.

This wasnʼt like the Star Seeking.

Back then, Swamp Dragon had also been weaker than Kyle, but not by much. They could still fight together.

But now, things were a bit different.

Any Divine Beast that would be able to fight Kyle evenly would have such a powerful body that none of Swamp Dragonʼs attacks could even scratch it.

Sadly, Swamp Dragonʼs poison needed to enter the bloodstream or Energy Pathways of an enemy to take effect.

In essence, Swamp Dragon would be useless. The only thing he could do was to support Kyle while he was battling the beast.

Sure, Kyleʼs Momentum would increase, but Swamp Dragon would barely be involved. That wouldnʼt increase his Momentum by a lot.

The alternative was that Swamp Dragon could join Kyle near the front, but as soon as the Divine Beast targeted Swamp Dragon…

He would die.

Kyle noticed that Swamp Dragon knew what Kyle had meant and sighed. ”Sorry.”

”My weakness is not your responsibility,” Swamp Dragon answered with a firm voice. ”Your Imposing Law is the reason why youʼre so much stronger than I am. At some point, I will also create an Imposing Law, and the gap between us will narrow.”

”Also, I might catch up with you soon,” he added.

”Oh?” Kyle asked with a raised brow. ”Are you working on your own Imposing Law?”

”No, but you have to remember that Iʼve had more time to focus on other things,” Swamp Dragon said. ”Youʼve spent centuries focusing on your Imposing Law, and I wasnʼt inactive during those.”

”Right, I forgot about that,” Kyle said. ”What have you been working on?”

”A Mixed-Element Complex Law,” Swamp Dragon said. ”In a couple of centuries, I will probably be done. According to my estimates, it will be a Level 4.5 Complex Law.”

Kyleʼs eyes widened.

He was only working on a Level Four Complex Law right now, and he would also need a couple more centuries to finish it.

Meanwhile, Swamp Dragon was working on a Level 4.5 Complex Law.

”Thatʼs crazy,” Kyle said.

Swamp Dragon smiled slightly. ”Based on how I designed it, it should get rid of the majority of my weaknesses.”

Then, Swamp Dragonʼs brows furrowed. ”Shame that Dawnlight decided to fight us now. While a True Battle will push my comprehension forward by quite a bit, thereʼs simply too much left to learn.”

”But you can already partially use it, right?” Kyle asked. ”I mean, itʼs not an Infused Complex Law. When I made my Law of Meteor, I could also somewhat use it before it was finished.”

Swamp Dragon sighed. ”Yes, but it uses Laws that are included in my Infused Law. If I want to use it, I have to dispel my Complex Body Law.”

”Ah, yeah, that sucks,” Kyle said.

”So, whatʼs the plan?” Swamp Dragon asked. ”Do we fight together or split up?”

Kyle took a deep breath.

He really wanted to fight together with Swamp Dragon. It was fun to be on an adventure with a close friend.

”I think itʼs better if we separate,” Kyle said.

Swamp Dragon nodded. ”I agree. Then, letʼs meet back at this spot in two weeks. Does that sound good?”

”Yep,” Kyle answered as he cracked his neck.

”Then, see you soon,” Swamp Dragon said.

”See ya! Donʼt die on me!” Kyle said with a laugh.

”Iʼll do my best,” Swamp Dragon answered before he shot into the distance.
