Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 753 - One Opportunity

When Kyle heard that, he took a deep breath.

He knew that this didnʼt fit his disguise, but he didnʼt care about that right now.

It was just…

ʼI can kill 99% of Fulfilled Crushers, but this guy can also kill 99% of Fulfilled Crushers.ʼ

ʼEven if I were a Fulfilled Crusher, this would count as a True Battle.ʼ

Kyle thought about his enemy.

ʼMy body will be like paper in front of him. Most likely, since he is part of the Contrast Empire, he was also once a Unique Primal. Yes, I was a Legendary Primal, which makes my body stronger on a baseline, but this guy has an Infused Level 4.5 Complex Law.ʼ

ʼWhile his Body Law shouldnʼt increase his physical power as much since metal is all about defense, it still increases it substantially. With my Law of Hammer, I can probably get through his defense, but his other Complex Law would tear me apart.ʼ

ʼAny bit of Energy he uses will have the properties of all Fire Laws. Even more, his entire Center is filled with this kind of powerful Energy. He doesnʼt have to transform it first.ʼ

Kyle went over his options.

There were only two of them.

Fight and most likely die.

Abandon Explosive Karma and look for a different Organization.

ʼWe grew too quickly,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼWe should have been slower with our expansion.ʼ

ʼMaybe Broken Spark was right. Maybe we shouldnʼt have absorbed them.ʼ

ʼBut what were we supposed to do? We needed Level Four Law Wells to keep our disguise. It would be strange if we suddenly got a bunch of Fulfilled Crushers without access to any fitting Law Wells.ʼ

Kyle sighed.

ʼWe could also just retreat. The Head of Dawnlight just wants to become a Legendary Crusher. In a couple of centuries or millennia, they will succeed. When their leader leaves, the Organization will collapse and-ʼ

ʼWait, thatʼs not true. In a couple of centuries, this other guy will be a Unique Crusher, and he will try to become a Legendary Crusher. It will not change. Dawnlight will still be there at that point.ʼ

ʼThereʼs no way to deal with this situation.ʼ

”When is the battle?” Swamp Dragon suddenly asked.

Everyone looked over.

”In a month,” Star Genesis answered.

Swamp Dragon closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

”Thatʼs enough time,” he said.

Kyle looked at Swamp Dragon with raised brows.

Swamp Dragon opened his eyes and took hold of the document.

”I will be fighting.”

Everyone looked at Swamp Dragon in shock.

He would be fighting?

Was this guy insane?

He was going to die!

Kyle also looked at Swamp Dragon in shock.

”Why?” he transmitted.

”Iʼm surprised that youʼre asking me why,” Swamp Dragon transmitted back. ”I would assume you would do the same thing as I.”

”How did you become a Legendary Transcendent? How did you comprehend your Law of Meteor as a mere Mortal? Are you telling me youʼve always played it safe?” Swamp Dragon asked via voice transmission.

Kyle thought back to his life.

In the Tertiary World, he had fought a False Transcendent as a Mortal. That battle had seemed almost impossible to win, even with Sebastianʼs help.

Then, he had fought several Transcending Beasts.

In the Star Seeking, he had fought one brutally powerful beast after another.

As Kyle thought back, he realized that Swamp Dragon was right.

He would have entered such a fight.

ʼBut then, why am I hesitating right now? Whatʼs different?ʼ

A moment later, Kyle got his answer.

ʼItʼs because I have a way back.ʼ

ʼIʼm hesitating because I can just leave.ʼ

ʼI didnʼt have that luxury in the past.ʼ

ʼYet, just because I have a way out, is it the right choice to use it?ʼ

Kyle got reminded of the Chief Overseerʼs words.

He told them that this would be the best job for them.

The Array of Stars knew how to raise powerful Seekers, and the jobs they offered their Disciples only fell into two categories.

Safe jobs for unambitious people and dangerous jobs for ambitious people.

One kind never led anywhere, while the other kind forced the Disciples to risk their lives.

ʼWithout sufficient risk, you canʼt reliably grow stronger,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼIf I actually want to get somewhere, I need to go all out. I canʼt play it safe.ʼ

ʼSo, why did I play it safe?ʼ

Kyle looked at Swamp Dragon and Star Genesis.

ʼIs it because of them?ʼ

Kyle was reminded of the time he spoke with Swamp Dragon after he had intended to sacrifice himself on the new Planet.

ʼI didnʼt want to betray them. I didnʼt want to sacrifice myself for them after my talk.ʼ

ʼFunny. I say that I didnʼt want to betray them, but isnʼt that exactly whatʼs going to happen if I donʼt keep growing?ʼ

Kyle looked at Swamp Dragon with conviction, eliciting a couple of raised brows from the people unfamiliar with Kyle.

Their Ancestor was acting a bit differently from usual.

In his mind, Kyle could already see how everything was going to go, assuming both of them won.

If they won…

Their disguises wouldnʼt work anymore anyway. While Swamp Dragonʼs power could still be explained, Kyleʼs power couldnʼt.

Defeating such a powerful Fulfilled Crusher was way too strange, especially since the Fulfilled Crusher was already publicly a member of the Contrast Empire.

Two Level 4.5 Complex Laws and a past as a Unique Primal.

How could any other Fulfilled Crusher possibly win against someone like that?

If another Fulfilled Crusher were this powerful, they also had to be a member of a Peak Organization.

At this moment, it was more than clear that Kyle and Swamp Dragon would lose their battles.

But it didnʼt have to remain like this.

One month.

A month wasnʼt enough time to improve oneʼs Laws.

Yet, it was enough time to improve something else.

Momentum.

Their opponents were physically stronger than they were.

Their opponents had stronger Laws than they did.

Their opponents probably had more Karmic Luck than they did.

However, in terms of Momentum, Kyle and Swamp Dragon could beat them.

With enough of an advantage in Momentum, Kyle and Swamp Dragon could destabilize their enemy.

As long as their enemy made a mistake, the two of them could find an opening.

Swamp Dragon just needed to hit his enemy with an arrow to win.

Kyle just needed to hit his enemy with his hammer.

One opening.

They needed one opening.

And hopefully, their Momentum would create that opening.

”I am willing to fight,” Kyle said.

The others looked with shock at their Ancestor.

He was also willing to fight?!

Yet, Kyleʼs enemy was even crazier than Swamp Dragonʼs enemy.

There were probably a couple of comparable Advanced Crushers to Swamp Dragonʼs enemy, but there were no comparable Fulfilled Crushers to Kyleʼs enemy.

This was the strongest Fulfilled Crusher in the entire Secondary Sector.

Kyle looked at Swamp Dragon.

”You up for a trip?” he transmitted.

Swamp Dragon smiled slightly.

”Of course.”
