He, also known as Palm Buddha, was the only Half-Step Hegemon of the Buddha Realm, and the true Master of the Imperial Artifact known as the Great Thunderclap Monastery.

The Sacred Son of Buddha? He was his Disciple, his Personal Disciple.

And now, that Disciple had fallen.

*Haaa…* A sigh escaped the figure surrounded by illusory Buddha Kingdoms adrift around him, as the old monk draped himself in a robe of twilight gold. Its folds glowed faintly, traced in veiled light of the Dharma.

And in that moment, the monk’s presence changed.

Majestic. Unfathomable.

Like an ancient Buddha reborn, he was solemn, sacred, and terrifying.

“Now I must see… who dares provoke my Buddhist Sect?” His faint mumble rolled through the still air like a bell chime in eternity.

And then, with solemn steps, he departed toward the very heart of the Buddha Realm.

…

Moments later…

Within the deepest chambers of the Great Thunderclap Monastery, the Buddha Realm had gathered its might.

There, one after another, ancient monks sat cross-legged in silent meditation, as well as some Arhats.

Suddenly, a single, dry voice broke the silence, “Senior Brother… the Sacred Son has fallen.”

Every gaze turned upward, toward a figure seated atop the jade dais.

This Palm Buddha, Dharma name San Jie, lifted his eyes ever so slightly.

“Mhmm,” with a soft hum, the old monk with the kind face also signaled his acknowledgement.

And then, raising his gaze to the heavens above, San Jie asked calmly, “Esteemed One… do you know the cause of my Disciple’s death?”

“…”

A silence fell upon the hall.

For a long breath, no one dared speak.

But then, a faint voice echoed across the hall, “He met a great enemy. An enemy beyond all measure. Even the projection of my True Form… was shattered.”

It was the voice of the Artifact Spirit of the Great Thunderclap Monastery. It was ancient, weary, and filled with hidden sorrow. He, too, had cared deeply for the Sacred Son.

Born with divinity, and a clear Dao Heart, he had comprehended the profoundest sutras of the Buddhist Sect with ease and practiced the Dharma from the moment he could breathe.

Such a Disciple had perished in mere ‘training.’ It was a huge tragedy.

“Esteemed One… who is this great enemy?” A sudden question, not as a whisper, but as a calm and doubtful voice arose from San Jie’s lips.

However, what left everyone shocked was the hidden emotion in that calm voice.

Coldness.

A strange, biting coldness.

He was the paragon of warmth and compassion, yet at this moment he was no longer merely serene.

While Buddhists cultivated their hearts, that didn’t mean that they rejected power. In fact, Buddhists, by contrast, were more contentious. They competed, but never for worldly gains, that’s all.

*Haaaa…* A second sigh, long, bitter, and almost disbelieving, escaped the Artifact Spirit, as a complex look took over his face.

[Who would have thought that such a monster would be born in the Void?!] At this thought, the Artifact Spirit straightforwardly replied, “In the depths of the Void… a Hegemon has awakened. One who… seems to command Time itself. Even my projection… stood no chance before him.”

The moment that statement fell, a profound oppressive silence pervaded the hall.

Not a single monk spoke, everyone was just gawking at each other.

Only the sound of rosaries clicking faster, prayer beads spun through trembling fingers.

Several monks, even those whose hearts had weathered centuries, now found cold sweat sliding down their brows.

[A Hegemon!? In the Void!? And not just any Hegemon…but one who wields Time itself? Is this a joke? What sort of aberration is slumbering in the shadows of the cosmos?]

No one spoke it aloud, but in their hearts, every monk present whispered the same silent thought, “Can such a creature… truly exist in this age?”

If it was an ordinary Void Hegemon, its birth could be ignored. But one who wielded Time? That was enough to break the balance of the cosmos.

A single Void Hegemon who mastered such a Principle was worth more than ten. No, perhaps dozens of ordinary Void Hegemons.

It was absurd.

That being was too dangerous.

And yet, not a single monk within the sacred halls doubted the claim.

Had it come from the mouth of any other person, they might have laughed. But this came from the Artifact Spirit of the Great Thunderclap Monastery, an entity of the utmost holiness and dread.

It was the very foundation of their Buddhist Sect.

*Hoooo…* Exhaling slowly, the venerable monk known as the Palm Buddha could help but have the corner of his eyelids twitch involuntarily.

His heart ached, not for the loss, but for the revelation.

“My Disciple… defeat wasn’t unfair…” With a weary sigh, the old monk closed his eyes, entering meditation once more.

But if one looked closely, they would see the Kingdoms of Buddha that spun about him were growing dim. And with that, an overwhelming might began to radiate outward.

Time passed. How long, none could say.

The entire hall fell into breathless silence.

Monks sank into stillness one by one, until even the air felt sealed beneath a layer of ice.

But then, like a stone breaking a still pond, a voice rang out, “In the stars… is there anyone capable of challenging such a Void Hegemon?”

A pause.

Then came a soft reply, from a youthful monk whose eyes were like deep wells, “Perhaps there is. Or perhaps… there is not.”

And then, after a moment’s reflection, “But if there is… it may be the Demon Emperor, who is known as the Strongest Bring under Heaven. He had refined his Physique seven times, and his power is said to rival that of a Hegemon. If anyone among the Myriad Races could contend with this being… it would be him.”

“Very well… I understand.” With a soft response, San Jie, who had long since shut his eyes in stillness, his face regained its previous calmness.

No joy, no rage, no sorrow, there was nothing, just calmness.

What he contemplated in the depths of meditation, no one could guess.

…

Meanwhile, in the deepest, darkest corner of the Void, Yu Zi Yu stood still, one hand gently raised.

He had just slain the Sacred Son of Buddha.

Now, with a casual sweep of his sleeve, he gathered the corpse of that once-glorious Disciple of the Buddhist Sect and sealed them in another Spacetime dimension.

The body of a Peak Stage Tier-6, such a vessel was nothing short of extraordinary.

Furthermore, it was the body of the Sacred Son of Buddha, who also trained his body as well. He possessed an astonishing Physique that probably allowed him to compete with an ordinary Tier-6 with pure physical strength.

Thus, to Yu Zi Yu, this was not a corpse, but something far more valuable, a shell that could be worn by others.

And these others were none other than the Void Creatures.

After all, the Void Creatures saw the Myriad Races as their prey, and were able to parasitize them.

If he found the right Void creature and paired it with this vessel, they could very well birth to an extremely terrifying Tier-6.

And this was Yu Zi Yu’s preparation for a grand plan, the Original Sin Plan.

As for what was the Original Sin Plan…

At this thought, a faint smile curled on Yu Zi Yu’s lips, as a glimmer of anticipation danced behind his eyes.

“I shall gather enough Tier-6 Void Emperors… and then command them to walk among the stars in Human Form. They shall be known as ‘Original Sins.’ And this way, the Myriad Races would come to know, could recognize the unity, hierarchy, and the terrifying order of the Void Clan’s upper echelons. They will become more afraid of them. As for the Original Sins, they would stand at the peak of the Void. Wearing Human Form, they would walk among the stars. They would be the pinnacle of all Void-kind.”

Whispering to himself, Yu Zi Yu had already constructed a plan for the Original Sins of the Void whose terror would shake the Myriad Races.

For beings like Yu Zi Yu, even a stray thought like this had far-reaching consequences.

Like now, this Original Sin Plan which he had started with just one thought would have a far-reaching impact on the Void Clan… And as for the Myriad Races, there was no need to mention it.

The more unified the Void Race became, the more the races of the cosmos would suffer.

And now, with the Original Sin Plan, Yu Zi Yu was laying the foundation for something unprecedented, to unify the top-level combatants of the Void Race, to birth a unique law and order for the Void.

Once, he lived beneath the systems crafted by others.

Now? He would become the one who forged them.

And not for a nation, or a realm, but for the infinite Void itself.
