*Boooom…* A deafening rumble echoed through the Void as the expression of the Sacred Son of Buddha changed dramatically.

A single finger had appeared near the center of his brow out of nowhere.

He had failed to sense it, much less see it.

This one finger had somehow managed to pierced through the defenses of the Great Thunderclap Monastery.

This one finger had somehow managed to evade even his Eye of Truth.

“How… how is that even possible?” Even now, the Sacred Son of Buddha could barely believe it.

And the very next moment…

*Boooooom…* An even greater roar resounded through the vast Void.

As he looked up, ripples, layer after layer, fanned out like waves, as Yu Zi Yu’s finger pressed against his brow.

“Die…” A soft, whispering voice rippled across the still Void.

Then, the Sacred Son’s body was hurled backward as if struck by thunder.

*Pufff…* Golden blood spurted from his mouth, and his face turned pale beyond bloodless. Even his aura collapsed, plummeting to the abyss.

A single finger from a Hegemon, and not just any Hegemon, but one such as Yu Zi Yu, who had stepped into Tier-7 with the Principles of Spacetime, how could a mere Tier-6 endure such a blow?

Worse still, Yu Zi Yu’s strike had pierced all of his defenses.

And so…

*Boooom…* Another explosion echoed above his glabella, sending even his Soul trembling.

“Just… how terrifying is he…!?” Amidst a gaze of disbelief, the brilliant and illustrious Sacred Son of Buddha watched as the final trace of light faded from his eyes until they lost their luster entirely.

“May you rest in peace…” Yu Zi Yu’s calm voice drifted through the air as he watched the Sacred Son’s body spiral away through the Void.

Killing to him, it was as simple as brushing away dust. Even if that one was the Sacred Son of Buudha, the chosen inheritor of the Buddhis Sect, it changed nothing.

However, he knew that after this… the Buddhist Sect would not stay silent.

The death of their Sacred Son was no small matter. Especially when this Sacred Son was the reincarnation of a Supreme Overlord, merely awaiting the awakening of his past-life wisdom.

But alas, even such a formidable seed had fallen, where only blood and silence now bloomed across the void.

…

And at the same time, with the death of the Sacred Son of Buddha, his Spiritual Energy extinguished, the Great Thunderclap Monastery, that was hovering high above, began to lose its luster.

It was merely a projection; a shadow of the true Artifact, barely possessing one-tenth of its original power.

The Buddhist Sect had always been cautious.

They would never bring the True Body of their Imperial Artifact into the Void.

And so, this Sacred Son had not fought at full strength.

A hundred years ago, wielding the true Great Thunderclap Monastery, he had single-handedly suppressed the combined forces of the Dragon and Phoenix Clans, leaving Myriad Races in awe.

But now, he had brought only a projection… and died all the same.

As his eyes dimmed, the Artifact’s manifestation too slowly dimmed.

And then…

“The… Void…” A faint, whispering voice echoed across the Void.

Turning toward the sound, one would see that the dimming manifestation of the Great Thunderclap Monastery suddenly erupted in divine brilliance.

It was likely a reaction from the original Artifact. Sensing its projection’s peril, it transmitted power through some distant, spiritual connection to maintain its fading presence.

However…

“Even if your True Body stood before me, I wouldn’t have feared you, much less now, when it’s just your projection…!” Yu Zi Yu chuckled, his tone calm, indifferent.

Then, a moment later, he swept his arm.

*Boooom…* Accompanied by a thunderous roar, Void Energy surged like a tidal wave, condensing into a colossal hand that blotted out the sky.

And that massive hand came crashing down on the phantom of the Great Thunderclap Monastery with apocalyptic force.

*Booooom…* With one palm strike, the manifestation of the Great Thunderclap Monastery shattered into nothingness. All that remained were drifting fragments of golden Buddha Light, scattering like splinters across the boundless void.

However, in that very instant, Yu Zi Yu suddenly felt, faintly and subtly, gazes. It was ancient and oppressive, and they cast themselves upon him from the farthest corners of the stars.

“The Buddhist Sect truly is a colossus…” With heartfelt admiration, Yu Zi Yu also recognized the strength of the Buddhist Sect.

Just through a mere sliver of psychic resonance, Yu Zi Yu had already sensed no less than ten Overlords watching him. Each of them unfathomable in depth, giants among Tier-6s.

One of them had even… stepped half a foot into the Realm of Hegemony.

However, it was not that surprising, really. This was the Buddhist Sect, a terrifying Force that had once rivaled the illustrious Heavenly Court. Even the combined might of the Dragon and Phoenix Clans paled only barely in comparison.

And what made them all the more daunting… was their age.

The Buddhist Sect’s origins stretched further back than any other known power.

Rumor had it that even in the distant Primordial Era, the Buddhist Sect already stood tall, and had even once locked horns with the Ancient Heavenly Court.

Now, the Ancient Court had long since turned to dust and legend, but the Buddhist Sect still remained.

So just how deep did their waters run? No one could say.

…

Just as Yu Zi Yu was finishing off the Sacred Son of Buddha, a long-familiar yet distant voice, mechanical and cold, echoed in his mind.

Hearing this, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes couldn’t help but narrow slightly.

The Evolution Points weren’t surprising, but that Minor Divine Ability surely was.

“Kingdom of Buddha in the Palm… Hmmm…” Yu Zi Yu began inspecting it.

After all, Divine Abilities were rare. Thus, even a Minor Divine Ability, if good, could enhance his already monstrous strength.

And so, a moment later, Yu Zi Yu’s consciousness descended into his mind.

*Boooom…* Immediately, a tide of knowledge surged into his Soul.

“A world in a flower, a Bodhi in a leaf… And in a palm, a kingdom of Buddha descends…” Murmuring to himself, Yu Zi Yu slowly came to understand the foundations of this domain-type Divine Ability.

…

Meanwhile, while Yu Zi Yu was sorting through the Sacred Son’s spoils, across the dimensions, in a mysterious and ethereal world, the chants of Sanskrit mantras suddenly started echoing, and a divine glory basked the entire world.

This was the Buddha Realm, the true domain of the Buddhist Sect. One of the most terrifying realms beneath the stars, it straddled the line between the material and the metaphysical. Few could find it. Fewer still could step foot inside. And now, at the center of that realm, the Great Thunderclap Monastery, the original Imperial Artifact, exploded with boundless divine light.

One by one, powerful beings were startled from their meditation.

“What’s going on…?” A sudden cry of alarm escaped a monk with a yellowish-white attire as he walked alone across a desert. His expression shifting, eyes narrowing.

And then…

*Booooom…* He raised a foot, stepped forward, and in that single step, the sky across a ten-thousand-kilometer radius shattered like broken glass.

He had literally shattered the sky with a step.

In the next moment, the monk transformed into a radiant streak of golden light, shooting toward the heart of the world.

At the same time, in the deepest trench of the ocean, an old monk seated cross-legged, who had been suppressing the entire sea by his mere presence, slowly opened his eyes.

Within those ancient pupils, the vicissitudes of endless eras rippled like distant waves.

“That foolish child… has perished.” Sighing gently, the old monk slowly stood.

His hunched and withered body stretched upward so tall that it felt as if he were propping up the sky itself.

Divine light flowed around him, illuminating the darkness of the deep.

If one looked closely, they would see behind him countless manifestation Buddha Kingdoms rising into the void.
