“What’s going on?” Frowning slightly, the True Spirit of the Imperial Artifact gazed at the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil with a look of confusion.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was the greatest treasure of Eden.

Though he was currently only a Tier-5, his extraordinary abilities had earned him a revered status among the Angel Clan, who treated him as an honored guest.

In gratitude, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil had consistently supported the Angel Clan, even gifting them the Fruits of Good and Evil he bore.

However, now, the very being that had grown up with him, had suddenly attacked the Angel King!

Perplexed and skeptical, the innocent expression on the True Spirit of the Imperial Artifact’s face flickered with doubt.

At that moment, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, sensing the True Spirit’s gaze, hastily responded with panic, “It wasn’t me! I swear it wasn’t me…”

Shaking its branches frantically, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil struggled to control them, trying to retract his branches.

However, in the next instant, to his utter shock, the branch that had transformed into a spear twisted violently.

*Squilish…* The spear, that had stabbed into the Angel King, stab further, drawing out golden holy blood.

This immediately provoked the wrath of the wounded Angel King who let out an enraged and venomous roar, “Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil…”

Roaring in fury, the Angel King grabbed the spear impaling his body.

*Boooooom…* A torrent of Holy Energy erupted like a blazing inferno, shooting straight into the skies.

With unstoppable momentum, it traveled along the spear, crashing toward the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

*Boooooom…* The torrent of surging Holy Energy crashed into the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil with a deafening explosion, as a radiant brilliance engulfed it.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil immediately let out a mournful wail.

He was in pain, an excruciating pain that seeped into his very core, distorting his form in agony.

The murderous Holy Energy relentlessly tore at his body.

However, what puzzled the Angel King was the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil’s lack of resistance. He just kept thrashing and howling helplessly within the Holy Light, as though at a complete loss.

“Not awake yet?” A soft, yet eerie voice echoed from the depths of the island. The voice carried an eerie, devilish charm, an indescribable force that sent chills down the spine of anyone who heard it. Even the True Spirit of the Imperial Artifact and the Angel King instinctively turned toward the source of the voice.

There, three hazy figures approached slowly, their movements seemingly transcending space itself. Within moments, they stood before everyone. However, what truly drew attention was still the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Upon hearing the voice, he began to struggle more violently, his form twisting with dread.

“No! Stop… don’t…” his anguished cries carried an unmistakable note of terror.

Though the Angel King’s assault was indeed formidable, it was not enough to provoke such desperate wails. What truly drove the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil to despair was the devilish allure of that haunting voice.

It was awakening him, it was stirring the evil power dormant within his Divine Form.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, as his name suggested, embodied both good and evil. Though under the nurturing care of the Angel Clan, his benevolent side had flourished, his malevolent side was never truly gone. It was just that no one had ever awakened it. Thus, it had remained dormant in the deepest recess of his body.

When Yu Zi Yu descended upon this small world, he immediately discovered the true secret of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Spirit of Good and Evil — Good and Evil, like Yin and Yang, united in harmony…
The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil’s Spirit of Goodness had always been active, but his Spirit of Malevolence had never truly vanished.

And now, under the call of Yu Zi Yu, the ‘Progenitor of Trees’…

*Boom… Boom…* Visible to the naked eye, endless wisps of Black Energy began to seep from the trunk of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

The Black Energy was so malevolent that it coalesced in the sky, forming a hideous, devil-like visage.

“Gahaha… Gahaha… I’m free…” With eerie laughter, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil’s appearance began to shift. Its once vibrant colors darkened, becoming as black as ink.

At the same time, an overwhelming aura of malevolence spread outward, causing the surrounding Angels’ faces to pale in shock.

This form of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was something they had never seen before.

And then…

*Gahaha…* As the laughter grew more sinister, the spear that had impaled the Angel King suddenly erupted with Black Energy.

*Boooooom…* With a deafening explosion, the Angel King, unable to react in time, was sent flying.

Coincidentally, he crashed right in front of Yu Zi Yu and his companions, who were approaching calmly.

*Hmph…* With a cold snort, the King of Knights standing beside Yu Zi Yu unsheathed her sword.

The sword cut through the air, drawing a violet semi-circular streak, and striking the Angel King.

The Angel King let out a painful cry as the strike sent him flying in another direction.

He was the weakest among the four great Angel Kings. He was only at the Late-Stage of Tier-5, and having already sustained heavy injuries from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he could not withstand even one attack from the King of Knights.

His battered body flew toward a distant corner of the island, where it crashed with a massive explosion.

However, Yu Zi Yu did not have the time nor the patience to concern himself with the Angel King.

Bearing a faint smile, Yu Zi Yu directed his gaze toward the distant golden and ethereal figure bathing in a dazzling light, leisurely swinging on a swing beneath the branches of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Then, Yu Zi Yu offered a formal greeting, bowing slightly with a touch of respect, a rare deed on his part. “Junior Yu Zi Yu, greets the esteemed Sixteen Holy Wings.”

When it came to an Imperial Artifact, an entity revered as ‘Eternal Walked under the Starry Skies,’ Yu Zi Yu’s respect was unwavering.

Even though this Imperial Artifact had been severely damaged, reducing its strength to mere Tier-6, it was not someone Yu Zi Yu dared to treat lightly.

He didn’t dare to make the mistake of underestimating an Imperial Artifact. Each one possessed unparalleled power capable of dominating the starry skies. If provoked, they might even choose to awaken at the cost of damaging their Quintessence. Thus, respect was both necessary and prudent.

Not only for his safety but also because Yu Zi Yu had come this time seeking this legendary Imperial Artifact.
