At Tier-2, one was already a force to reckon with. Beings of such caliber often conceal a portion of their aura and harbor dreadful means. Without direct confrontation, it was truly challenging to gauge their actual strength.

However, now…

*Boom Boom Boom…*

Undulating aura, like crashing waves, struck in all directions. The enormous bird obscuring the sky seemed to be enraged. Its terrifying aura continued to rise.

“Northern… Darkness…” Wang Hao’s expression became significantly serious, which was rare for him. Looking at the massive Mutant Bird in the sky, his pupils could not help but contract.

Northern Darkness was well-known in China. It had long been documented and hailed as one of the ten monstrosities of the continent.

Definitely, the most terrifying of these ten monstrosities was the unfathomable Tree Monster.

In the battle of Dark Day, it had established its unrivaled reputation. Even China tacitly acknowledged its existence.

Apart from the Tree Monster, there were many other terrifying Mutant Beasts. Most of them had terrifying combat strength and limitless potential. Despite being Tier-2 Transcendent, they all had the potential to reach the Tier-3.

The Northern Darkness Bird happened to be one such creature. Northern Bird was taken from the passage of the famous classic, Free and Easy Wandering –– ‘In the northern darkness there is a fish and his name is Kun. The Kun is so huge I don’t know how many thousand li he measures. He changes and becomes a bird whose name is Peng.’

The reason for this lay in China’s discovery that this Mutant Bird’s Innate Talent made it grow bigger and bigger the more it devoured. It had grown so big now that it was now impossible to discern its previous species.

The only thing known about this Mutant Bird, codenamed ‘Northern Darkness,’ wreaked havoc in the northern seas.

Surprisingly, it came here tonight.

*Haa…* Exhaling a long, deep breath, Wang Hao tightened his grip on the longsword in his hand, looking at the sky where the massive ominous bird that had covered the entire sky was present.

[This bird is definitely on par with me. If I don’t deal with it seriously, I might land up in significant trouble.] Thinking this, Wang Hao shouted loudly, “You go get the Spirit Flower, I’ll stop it.”

“Fine…” Shooting a glance at the massive bird, Zhao Jiao did not say much. Instead, he turned around and headed straight for the lake in the Deadwood Wetlands.

At this moment, seemingly aware of Zhao Jiao’s movements…

*Screech…* A sharp, piercing cry echoed through the entire wetlands as the Northern Darkness Bird in the sky flapped its wings hard.

*Boom, boom…*

The next moment, fearsome winds swept through the forest as two visible tornadoes rose from under Wang Hao and Zhao Jiao’s feet.

…

On the other side, watching Wang Hao and Zhao Jiao getting intercepted by one of the ten monstrosities of the continent from the rumors, the Northern Darkness Bird, many people’s eyes lit up with joy.

After a moment, kicking the ground, these people weaved through the Deadwood Wetlands, circling around the battlefield and heading for the lake in the depths.

However, before they could approach…

*Boom, boom, boom…*

As if an army was charging, tall clouds of dust rose in the distance.

But in a moment…

Much to the countless people’s shock and surprise, a ball of green storm had suddenly appeared right in front of them.

“Not good!” an alarmed cry rang out.

However, before the person could react, with a bang, this Tier-1 Superhuman was reduced to a blood mist by the green storm, erasing him from the face of this world.

“Old Third!” Witnessing this incredible scene, the companion of Old Third, all had their eyes filled with fury.

But just then…

*Nay, nay…* High-pitched neighs, tinged with a bloodthirst and excitement, resounded. Meanwhile, the green storm showed no signs of slowing down, and charged towards the crowd.

Wild horses had a violent nature, and as a mutant wild horse, they were even more unruly.

Now, having gained momentum, their imposing manner was diminished.

Right after this green ball of storm, five Tier-1 Mutant Wild Horses also rushed forward eagerly.

At this moment, when the Humans laid their eyes on the herd of Mutant Wild Horses, their pupils contracted right away.

[How could Mutant Beasts from the grassland come here?]

Without a moment of hesitation, everyone instinctively ran towards the depths of the Deadwood Wetlands.

[With others behind delaying the attackers, the chances of obtaining the Spirit Flower have become greater.]

With these thoughts in their mind, these mysterious individuals quickened their pace.

*Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh…” Surprisingly, several people burst with auras not inferior to Tier-2 Superhumans, one after another.

However, just as they caught sight of the lake, a strong nauseating smell of blood suddenly assailed their nostrils. Everyone’s face slightly changed as they swiftly retreated.

But the next moment…

*Hisss, hisss…* Amidst shrill hisses, a humongous snake head appeared in front of them. It was a Python, and not just any Python but a terrifying one at that.

Its body was so huge that even when it was coiled, it resembled a towering mountain. Furthermore, palm-sized black scales covered its humongous body. And apart from its humongous size, its gaze also happened to be extremely cold and merciless.

Faintly, it carried a trace of ferocity and brutality.

No words were spoken, or rather, none were needed.

For Mutant Beasts, as well as Humans, encountering each other meant inevitable conflict.

Especially now, when it was for the sake of contending for a Spirit Treasure.

“Kill!” Among several mysterious figures, a fat man wearing a bamboo hat and a straw raincoat unsheathed an alloy saber and charged towards the giant Python, giving out a war cry.

A great battle, a momentous battle unfolded. It was a battle worthy of being recorded in history…

Meanwhile, the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Bureau of China entered its most efficient period in history.

“Report, we’ve detected twenty presence in the Deadwood Wetlands with Spiritual Energy more than 100,000. Among them, eight might have Spiritual Energy exceeding 300,000.”

Listening to a member’s report, the faces of members of the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Bureau slightly changed.

[Twenty Tier-2 Transcendents!? And eight of them may have Spiritual Energy exceeding 300,000!? Are you kidding me?]

As if noticing something, the Deputy Director of the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Bureau, a powerful woman, looked towards the nearby screen and commanded, “Freeze the frames, and immediately identify the entities with Spiritual Energy exceeding 300,000.”

Transcendents with Spiritual Energy exceeding 300,000 were veteran Tier-2 Transcendents. Their combat strength could not be taken lightly at all. It was a threshold that ordinary Tier-2 Transcendents find it difficult to cross.

On the surface, this time the Chinese government had sent Wang Hao and Zhao Jiao to the Deadwood Wetlands, both of whom were veteran Tier-2 Transcendents.

Apart from them, the Northern Darkness Bird hovering in the sky above likely had a Spiritual Energy exceeding 300,000, possessing unfathomable strength.

“Yes, Madam,” the staff solemnly responded as numerous screens froze before their images were reduced in size and projected onto a larger widescreen.
